- The trial for Keyante Newbern, who is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-old Mya Kelly in 2022, is continuing Wednesday.
Newbern is facing charges including homicide, carrying concealed and two firearms charges.

This dude lying through his teeth. Should take away his deal.
He broke his deal, Lied to the police, then tried to blame the police who offed him a deal and his attorney. He did not give truthful testimony. Leave him in jail and charge him with everything. That being a long list of crimes.

Police are EXPERTS at making innocent people appear guilty & twisting witnesses words to fit their narrative, in their written summary & then use in court.

You’re so right. So hard to comment the hard truth without being labeled as a racist. Young black men commit so much of the violent crime in America. Maybe they’ll start holding the parents accountable for their kids committing violence with a gun like they did the two white school shooters parents.

What kind of police department is this and the DA office choosing to charge a person WITHOUT any physical evidence! No gun, didn’t test the DNA, didn’t test for gun powder residue. So this is solely based on witness statements how outrageous. Didn’t even search the mom’s house for the damn gun! Insane trail just like the defendant evil laughing.
There was a search done. They found the laser but no gun was there

Don’t get me wrong because there are law enforcement officers in my family but it’s my opinion that police/law enforcement officers stick together even if the whole truth isn’t the truth!
this is sick and this is exactly what is happening with this trial. they’re not really trying to find justice for anybody just trying to destroy another innocent black man. when all the evidence shows that there is doubts, there’s nothing 100% showing that he committed this crime. There is not a credible witness. There isn’t direct evidence. Even the location doesn’t show that he was at the exact location. I can't wait for the day detectives and prosecutors get investigated about their dirty work.
I wanna know what the defendant was saying. I couldn’t catch it all, but it did look like he said “I lied” a couple times before the jailer said something to him

Awfully funny he knows all the lies with the defense attorney. Jury will disregard all of the witnesses testimony from the defense
yet when the prosecution asks him a question he does not remember even after reading what he signed. Leave him in jail and drop the deal. He did not live up to his part.

He should be held accountable to accessory to murder after the fact. He did the prosecution no favors beforehand by cooperating but helped them even more by lying in front of the jury because they didn’t believe him on the stand at all, they’ll definitely disregard. What a waste of air lol

He clearly telling his buddy they cant charge him, and that they are lying. But the truth is they can because he was the driver. The crime wouldn’t have been committed had he not taken the defendant to her house!! I know we don’t want to believe a loved one could do this but it happens. The best thing you can do is pray for him ❤
This jail bird's testimony should be excluded and rescind his deal. Apparently he's been threatened by whose to say they still won't act on the threat.

no direct evidence showing that the defendant murdered anybody even the cell phone tower doesn’t show that he was at that precise location So we’re just gonna forget about all the reasonable doubts? as Black people were always going to be treated like monsters, even when all the evidence shows our innocence We also live in a racist state I hope the jury can see this looks like a targeted charge.
Also, cops twist words around to fit their narrative and then use THEIR words in court, in THEIR summary reports, as if someone actually said them.
yes, especially when the prosecutor in the closing arguments, said that the Officer lied when he said when he first spoke to Omar, Omar said the door was open and she was arguing with somebody but since it didn’t fit the scenario or the story, the prosecutor is trying to convey, she’s willing to say the police officer lied about it when she didn’t even go back and look at the rest of the footage from that day to confirm what the officer is saying. Any prosecutor willing to say a police officer that actually told her the truth is lying, because he is the defense witness is ridiculous but you can see her, and the detective are lying straight through their teeth just like their witness. 😂
