    Bodybuilding has changed so much over recent time, and has diverted from great compound exercises athletes use to build muscle, to what new fitness influencers choose because they don't want to train hard. Mario Rios goes over why the deadlift is the bgest exercise bodybuilding doesn't want you doing!!

      People hate on him because he cannot get over the fact that some people don't want to be functional, don't want to be athletic or don't want to be fighters, maybe they just want to look good naked, period. He has an obsession of making absurd comparisons between bodybuilders and other disciplines and it just makes him look immature.

      @@heroevulgar well a lot of the stuff he says is for attention and tbf he does make a good point most of the time. The fitness industry is taken over by guys who take steroids and people look up to these guys and these are the guys that you should aim to be like physically. At least that’s what the fitness culture tells us. But those types of physiques and the way they achieved it isn’t healthy and not fit. At least the physiques Mario promotes are healthy and all about fitness

    Completely agree. Specially for athletes like me who practice 3-5 times a week, going to the gym gotta be limited to 3-4 times a week, so we need the exercises that build strength and hit the most muscles

    I remember back when I was not used to the gym and just doing random exercises just because the machine was free or something. I had friends alongside me but their advice wasn’t really anything good because they were also new to the gym like me. But when I found out about this channel, it changed my view point on exercising in general in a good way. This channel is the reason why I stand up every time I can when at the gym and do the compound lifts instead of the random machines. You’ve also gave me a sense of direction when it came to what I was supposed to be doing and why it would benefit me. So thank you for your hard work and keep up the good work!

    the thing with deadlifts is, that its pretty universally known that time under tension, is the driver of musclegrowth, not strenght, but muscle growth... this is whether youre a mass monster, or just wants a lean muscular physic... but the deadlift, has no negativ, its just a slam, plus the big lockout section.. this makes it objectively bad for muscle hypertrophy...
    still amazing for strenght and athleticism, i do em myself.. but its not because of muscle growth

My goal is to look good aka be a bodybuilder (natural) and I always begin my workout with compound lifts (push day- banch press and incline dumbell press, pull day- mostly pull ups and bent over rows but I don't deadlift just bc I train at the home gym and I have the standard barbell and rn I'm saving up for the olympic one and some bumper plates and then I'll do it and I do the deadlift when I go to comercial gym when I visit my gf. On leg day I focus on squat and rdl and sometimes I trow in lunges). But if you wanna train for hipertropy you gotta do strenght training bc you need to overload the muscle by getting stronger.

      Aslong as you lift what you are comfortable with it’s not risky and as a beginner you don’t need to do heavy at all. Use good form, don’t be afraid to ask Somone if you are doing something correctly if they look like they are doing it correct. And you can look up exercises. As a beginner your stabilizing muscles will grow just as fast as your others.

    Hey Mario I'm a (High School) wrestler, and want to know what is the best way to cut weight. So I don't have problems making 165lb next season.

    Hey bro, I've been stuck at 150kg deadlift for a while. How do I break that limit?

    • @thechosenone93
      @thechosenone93 8 місяців тому +1

      Reduce the weight by 10-15% and attempt to build a higher rep range from there - naturally your 150kg will increase if your 135kg goes from 1-3 reps a set to 6-8 reps a set
