I'm afraid I may have applied a bit too much force snapping the digitizer cable to the motherboard. I've replaced my screen a few times before but my last attempt the touch screen no longer works. Any suggestions?
Done multiple screen replacements, but for some reason this one is killing me. I replaced the touch screen digitizer and the LCD everything works great, but as soon as I snap everything together it wont charge. Opened it back up to see what may have been the matter and it starts charging again. Again, everything on the phone works before you snap it together, but as soon as you do it stops charging. I even got it to charge if I pull on the bottom of the screen with a suction cup and it will start to charge, but as soon as I let go of the suction cup it quits charging.
Tara, we include the bare minimum required tools to complete the repair when you purchase replacement parts for iPhones from our store. We also have separate comprehensive tool-sets if needed.
Done everything that youve said and all goes back nicely and switches on, but the screen doesnt want to recognise finger movements. Have tried this with two screens so I dont think that its the screens are faulty - any suggestions?
+Dave Adams Its important to figure out when the touch function disappeared. If it was still present on the original (shattered glass) - put it back in for a test - if touch still works on it - then both your replacement parts are suspect. If touch doesn't work with any of the available parts including original - then a logic board replacement should be considered. Look for it in used condition on eBay or Amazon - make sure to create the most recent iTunes back-up using your old logic board, since replacing the logic board will replace the device's memory.
Hi I have started using your tutorial but the screen removal only pulled the screen up and not the digitizer which remains firmly in the case. Do you have any ideas to remove the digitizer also?
Tony Johnson This does happen sometimes (the glass is pulled up but it's separating from its plastic frame). The way to deal with this is to stick a flat screwdriver somewhere beneath the frame - there should be some accessible notches to get under - and pry it open.
my touch is completely not working and i have line on the bottom of the screen which is always fluctuating by showing some part of topmost screen.....what all parts should i buy to eradicate my iphone problems?..... PLEASE HELP
@@Laptopscreen I have a similar issue only I installed a new screen with turns on perfectly but there is no touch function. I can't use the phone :( plz help

whenever I touch my screen it doesn't do anything it doesn't work. but it still comes on. half of the screen is rainbow color. do I need a new LCD?
+Samantha buetow Yes, unfortunately the "rainbow color" on screen is usually a sign of a cracked LCD.
