Giving some tips and experiences about going through the police academy. - Розваги
the confusing moment when you've spent so much time watching all of your videos and instead of wanting to avoid and run from cops you kinda want to join them🤔
king Flako do it man I'm few weeks away from graduating
GetDaCash DenRollOut congratulations man, im thinking about it honestly thru high-school i was in JROTC and I went to JCLC and did all that fun stuff and I kinda like the whole dilemma, and I know a couple of cops that can help pave the way, but where I messed up is i didn't get my diploma.
You should do it! 80% of departments are hiring. Now's a good time to get in.
Then go get your GED!
Eddie Hernandez once you in you in don't matter how you get there do what you gotta do we need go level headed people to join depts over the nation
"A thousand views is really big for me."
-officer401, a couple months ago
you still a fan tho!!!
"Hardest part is staying awake" lol sounds just like the Army
*Air Force
Same in the Marine Corps.
Especially after pt in a room with ac
We all were sniffing hand sanitizer
@@hunterhammett2060 Hand sanitizer...man sniffing that like you're about to snort it was the way lol
I learned the lesson about cardio and 3 mile runs in the first week of BCT... I was not prepared for that.
Still, I went on to serve for 10 years. One can learn to be a warrior IF it's in them.
With me, it was. Might be in you, too, random reader. :)
Army? I’m going to BCT soon, doing Army Natl Guard I’ve got MEPS next Tuesday
I can’t quite run any miles but I can definitely speed walk and stride with inclines for avg 7 miles daily!
I'm so damn happy you're producing media that helps people have a realistic view of what working as an officer is like. There's so much uninformed, impulsive hate out there towards our entire police force, and the mainstream media sure likes to capitalize on it. So disappointing to see officers massively disrespected for working such a stressful, dangerous job for their community. I mean, I think the legal system as a whole is screwed, and there are absolutely departments out there that need to make some changes, but our culture's perspectives on police need to change as well before any real pragmatic goals can be achieved. Thank you for the videos, and thank you for your service.
Logan Cormier well said
Yo this dude gained 27k in like 8 hours!
Congratulations bro!
Chez Berger Cause he's awesome😎
Chez Berger ok
Александр Михайлов you wish he was gay
"Firefighters vs. Cops" Leaving EMS out, I see how it is brother, lol.
LOL...oh don't worry, you guys are on the chopping block too, hah.
officer401 hey bro I'm EMS too haha.
officer401. are u still a police officer
Ried Sanborn yes he is.
John Dahms he's a detective now.
I've been stuck watching your videos for the last hour or so. I'm currently going thru the hiring process with California highway patrol and your videos have given me some good advice! Thanks for taking the time to make all your videos. Keep them coming
Hey man, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time. I’m now graduating from the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Academy next week. Thanks for your positive influence and the great information in your vids.
What he said about getting into shape during the academy. Reminds me of me when i was going through the fire academy bullshitting the instructors telling the fire chief "yeah i work out every day" day one we ran three miles and PT'd all day with the instructors on our ass. needless to say they found out half of the academy lied about being in shape pretty quickly haha
LMAO, that is terrible.
got home from school and I'm still binge watching your videos, can't get enough.
This channel is growing exponentially... It's amazing to see happen.
Hey man, you probably won’t ever see this but I’m actually thinking about going to the police academy and your videos have been giving me more inspiration to go
"They'll have make-shift drill instructors that yell at you, it's kind of a joke honestly." Thank. God. Someone finally says it. It is a joke, seriously.
I appreciate everything that you are doing in this video! I am 16 years old, and I am in a Criminal Justice class in my high school! This helps me out a lot!
Did you become a cap?
I'm getting addicted to your videos, i just can't stop watching them, and I've recommendeded you to all my friends
found that channel today and watched a few videos so far.
even if your only sitting in your car and talking i kinda like it :)
so you have a new follower now.
greetings from germany :)
Most people get mad about this but I am SOO happy I got one of your videos in my recommend section I am addicted to your videos they are great! you have gained a new sub.
MGX Clan same
same :)
GWB--- Stay out of US then, bud. I can almost assure you nobody wants you here.
Awesome video! I appreciate you taking the time to share this helpful info.
You are awesome. I passed the Pellet B and physical endurance test for San Francisco Sheriff Academy. I watch your videos over and over. You're awesome
Thank you .. for the videos..
Big respect from Oregon
Police academy in the States sounds a hell of a lot more exciting than in Ireland!
What's it like over there?
8 months in the Garda college. The extent of firearms training is "Yeap, this is what a gun looks like, this is how you unload it... any questions? No? Okay so we're going to take a look at the breathalysers now......" And the driver training is basically "Do you have a drivers license? Can you drive a manual transmission? If yes to both, no further training required"
After the 8 months you aren't even a fully qualified officer either. You have to complete an additional 16months of probation/on the job training before you become fully qualified.
Wow...It sounds like a long process, but rather simple.
Yeah it's mostly just marching drills, PT and classroom work/lectures. Quite drawn out and mundane if you ask me, but there's an awful lot of material to cover like languages and history too.
move to U.S then
Good videos brother. Be safe out there and thank you for your service!
I love your videos so much, thank you. Keep this up
Waiting for a email for my interview with the chief!! Hopefully I get the job!
That's awesome! Best of luck! Let me know how it goes.
Hey man I'm curious how'd it go?
Didn't go as planned.. HUGE back up on the roadway to the station. left an hour early, back up made me five minutes late. During the interview with the chief all i could think about was how bad i messed up, so i couldn't focus on the questions she was asking so it seemed like i was just half assing my answers. BUT after the letter of denial from the chief, my local shipyard called me offering a position the same day. im now making 6k more a year than what the department was offering, but i would've made a good officer. It hurts a little bit knowing i could've made a difference in that pretty damaged community but i like to think that everything happens for a reason. maybe ill try again someday (im only 21) but until then i guess i can say im doing my country a solid still by helping build Americas war ships.
Tyler Alexander what were some of the questions that were asked?
You got plenty of time! Save up as much as you can, go see the world, get in some college credits and apply if you feel the same way.. you have over ten years to do it
Can you do a video on the top 5 or 10 workouts to be doing prior to the academy? Thank you for your service and what you do!!!
1.) push ups
2.) mountain climbers
3.) running
4.) front leaning rest/ planks
5.) squats
pretty much just a whole lot of calisthenics workouts @ Dillon Brady
401k subscribers for Officer401 . NICE MAN, Congrats and thank you for your videos.
Sweet! I love your Caprice CCV, I can recognize it by the speedometer and infotainment.
I'm from Georgia too! I'm in the hiring process with Gwinnett county. I have an interview with them this upcoming Tuesday.
Good luck!!
I live in Gwinnett area, did you get the job?
My dad has been in the Army for 26 years and he just retired and he is going to be a Texas State Trooper in the class of January 2017. He has his spot and I am proud of him.
Thats awesome!!
officer401 the videolength is 9:11 illuminati confirmed ?
Rip Broadband TV, I fell for that trap as well. Keep up the cool Vlogs, I have no interest in being a cop but you definitely have a good vibe in your logs, it's awesome to listen to as I'm multitasking.
Short videos, but my favorite ones to watch!
i go into the Police Academy in March after i turn 21 then want to work my way up to either SWAT or the K-9 Unit cant wait!
did you take a civil service exam first? I just took the sheriffs exam for my county and im trying to figure out what my next steps are.
I go into the academy in june/july. Would love to work with a k-9 unit as well
How'd it go, man? I'm in the police academy currently.
@@someguy5271 How is that going so far? I'm 13 and have many more years before I can join. How many hours a day do you have to get trained? And do you have to physically workout every day?
Hows it going pal
so the academy is like school. Got it
Yep. And running. Cake.
Cakes & Pies, Cakes & Pies. :D
Watch Deuce Bigalow again...
MLG DOGE lol
MLG DOGE Well, at first I was thinking that police academy was about like the movie series of Police Academy, but Officer401 is describing basically is what almost I went through in Navy boot camp in Great Mistakes, er Great Lakes, Illinois. LOL 😀 Most of the PT part is like what officer401 is describing and it seemed like 3 miles when I was in boot camp.
Ive had bad experiences with Cops which led me to have a negative view but this guy totally changed my way of thinking and he is the coolest Cop
Currently in a big city texas academy, enjoy the vids. Thanks, man.
just subscribed have watched a couple of vids pretty good
love cops
Nice video!! Can't wait for firefighters vs. cops though
Hoping to get that one out in the next couple of weeks!
That one should be interesting.
+officer401 thanks for the video man
Cause firefighters need hero's
I love how you commented about the Los Angeles County sheriff demp I was a Explorer with them it's not as bad as other places I have heard I'm going back into it also its such a amazing experience
This guy deserves more subscribers and attention
I have a video of directing traffic for about 45 mins edited down to about 15 😂 I get comments near daily telling me I should be a cop. And I'm considering it.
Funny seeing you here!
DirtRider500R hahaha right. Yeah I've been considering being an officer for a while now. That's going to be fun. Channel may go quieter then usual for a little lol
Did you make it?
!!Get him some more subs people!!
Hey man, awesome video. Thank you again for the education!
Congrats on 2k, Loved the video keep up the good work! And man I gotta say this channel is doing 👌 I can't wait to see you grow more man! Any more drone stuff coming soon?
I could never be a cop. I'm not a people person.
Am I sopost to laugh? As I said I could never be a cop. I'm not a people person so I would be far too tolerant of crimes such as speeding because I wouldn't feel like dealing with people.
I said the same thing. My personality was more fit for a prison than with the community. Just what works for you
neither are any of the cops in my town lol
88frogtoes
Are you related to an inmate?
It's the internet . I'm a CO one day and a doctor the next.
GWB GWB triggered much?
I am planning on becoming police officer after I will finish elementary school and get high school diploma.
I am SO stoked
He's BLOWING UP!!! Few days ago I looked and he had nearly 76k, now he has over 80k..... Not hating, I'm really happy cuz he deserves this
a good thing to think about paperwork is : "better than getting shot"
do a burnout in ur squad car
Good channel. Thank you for all this effort.
over 2000 subs gain in a day. great job with the videos. really like that intro too.
video length 9:11 emergency contact is 911 coincidence
Levi AckermanTM you just beat me to it..
Kinorian1212 its 911 where I'm at that's more of a coincidence
hold up, 6 months? It takes 1,5 years to train to be a 112 operator in finland!
im 19 and just recently moved to Georgia... i plan on becoming an officer and also want to be apart of the swat team as well... your videos are awesome and wish more cops did stuff like this... keep it up
Damn yous been helping me become a cop, theres always pros and cons
Thank you very much for your help! I am currently 12 years old and I want to become a cop. I've shot guns before when I was ten and I did it every week. I just want to get into shape even more until I am at the age to go to the police academy. I don't know what it's going to be like because I live in LA, so yeah. I have a really hard time figuring out if I want to be an airline pilot or a police officer. In school, I work very hard and once in a while, I get C's. But always for science. Science is my least favorite subject. Math is my favorite. Then it's PE. Any suggestions for pilot or police would really help. I don't care what you say, I will still read it. Thank you very much!
Im also stuck between :
Cop
Commercial pilot
Intelligence
I start my academy in less than a week, I cant wait.
Jeffrey White good luck
Jeffrey White good luck :) I live in Canada but you most oily live in America I have one thing serve your contry good my friend :)
Jeffrey White good luck bud
Jeffrey White I start mine soon, how's yours going?
Its going good! i have about four months left. Just keep your head in the books and keep up with your fitness.
Love this guy!
throw up a video with all the details!!
Keep it up brother much love!!
Hello I plan on joining my local sheriff office this summer and I would like your take on a few things.I am 41 years old and more fit than most if not all the youth in my very small town. My question is what do you think about a person becoming an officer at my age? I have done boot camp 20 years ago and would like to know if you had any older men or woman in your training class?
Going Yooper check with whatever department you wanna join and long as they don't have an age limit then you good to go. 41 is on the older side but definitely not to old. just remember your gonna have Sgt and Lts that are younger than you. long as that don't bother you then go apply!
Stephen Jones No that does not bother me one bit. I also was asked by the Sheriff if I would be interested in the job.He is my closest neighbor and range buddy as well.Just don't know how I feel about the training being the old guy.I do not look 41 but Im sure I do when sitting next to a 22 year old.lol. Thanks for the info Stephen.
Hey no problem bro and age just a number, plus this the greatest job in the world.
Stephen Jones I want to be part of a team again.Miss the old days. And working for my community who has been so good to my family and myself would be great.
Had 40 year olds in my academy, go for it.
Now I really want meat and potatoes
the best channel on youtube
100% correct with your info. I’m in the Nypd academy and it’s pretty spot on
i want to be a Military Police in the Marines they seem cool
why is that?
Aaron Vazquezanzua Yeah MPs don't have much action.
no you don't. Go Infantry
I hope you didn't go for MP.
How's the hiring process post academy?
+Carlos Mejia
Depends on so many things. Many times, you're sent to the academy AFTER you've been hired already. Sometimes you put yourself through the academy.
Love these stories/Vlogs
This eased my mind. Thank you! I am really looking forward to joining the NOPD. I have military experience and also previous Security/ Correctional experience. My only issue is passing the Civil Service exam. 😂😂 I hate that written test!
Can you please anwser.. Lol. Anyways, I'm a junior in HS and want to become a police officer. But don't know if I wanna join the military Army infantry (last option) or go to college and get a CJ degree. But the other that is my first option is got to the jails and be a corrections officer until I'm 21.. what do you think? Since you have a the knowledge...😂
Bass Master Go to college.
Bass Master- Don't get a CJ degree. I spoke to a officer in my county and he said the CJ degree doesn't help, he sated that the academy will teach you what you need to know. But don't just take my word for it go and ask your local department.
Bass Master Army infantry ... College is a waste.
The Raging Goat You're right about that. I had an officer tell me the same exact thing. It's better to get a degree in business or something instead of CJ.
Do both
crucial question, run 3 miles in what amount of time?
Andrew Stringfellow yeah time?
Only Tropic
Like is there a time limit for the 3 mile run?
When I did it a year ago, you had to do the 3 miles under 22 minutes
patches1526 that's complete bullshit. 3 miles in about 28-30 mins
Slapping Stuff when i was 26 pounds thinner id do 5 miles on 40 minutes 3 in30, now i can do 3 in 36 and jogging not stressing my self over it.... I gained thr weigjt because of summer and winter break i stopped going to the gym
Nice insight into what it's about.
How the hell do you not have a shit ton of subs... your content is interesting, it's VERY highly quality, and not to mention very fuqing funny
officer401 whats the intro music???
he allready answered that question in his latest video
Afterhours by TroyBoi
fuck you bitch, u could answer!
ZAHARIA COSMIN afterhours by troyboi
Do you have to live in the Academy or do they send your ass home at the end of the day
Larry Sanders+ Its not like the military, when they are done with you, they send yo ass back to the crib.
Larry Sanders you live there fam
Depends on the academy. The ones in my area have housing if you wish to live there or you can commute.
I love this dude
what a bad ass channel , got yourself a sub dude.
Is there any hooking up with those ladies in the department?
Maybe use some of them handcuffs!!😉
E Kruger Sounds like you'd fail the psychology test
E Kruger Maybe do a little roleplay
Haha XD
Les Kruzer really?
Just stop.
ha i knew both those case laws. nice to hear they give fresh meat a heads up
I had tons of fun at BASIC and AIT as an army MP clearing buildings
awsome vlogs man. stay safe out there
The academy you went though was A LOT different then the one my mom went through. She did do the PT every morning, but she came home every day. It was much more relaxed, they did not be drill instructors.
I'm currently at my training centre in the metropolitan police (London), and you're right it's a long process with a lot of work, but it's all worth it in the end ;))
I'm from Charlotte NC. Can't wait to hear what you gotta say about these riots.
Ohhh, I'll have plenty to say about it. Lol.
starting in November sooo excited!!
I completed three Academies for three different Police departments trough out my carreer and you're right, EVOC it's the most fun course, about the shooting range, I totally agree with you, spetially when you join as a Lateral Police you see a lot of weird stuff... 👍🚔👮👍
best channel ever

The car driving part sounds like fun

I start the academy in two days. I can't wait
Hey man I just subscribed today and I love your vids I have always wanted to be a cop because my dad is a Michigan State Police and I want to be a cop like you.

I went to a week long junior Academy with my State Police. For the first day we just did PT, Drill, and C&C
