Moin! Ich folge dir schon etwas länger und wusste gar nicht das du aus Deutschland kommst (vor allem weil das Englisch so super ist). Danke für deine Videos. Ich hab oft das Problem das ich mich nicht aufraffen kann zum fotografieren gehen. Aber nach deinen Videos (vor allem die bei Nacht) hab ich sofort Lust mit der Kamera loszurennen. Hab fast die gleiche Kombo wie Du. Mach weiter so; bin großer Fan. 👍

Hell yeah, another Jimmy video! I love that you were able to share so much about both your photography process as well as the city itself! Very informative on both accounts 😄 Not gonna lie, I definitely got worried about the accidental lock-up in the parking garage! Did you not get into trouble for using the emergency exit, could you just use it like that? I also like how, despite you escaping the parking garage, you left us on a cliffhanger nonetheless; super curious to see what happens in the next video!

Hey jimmy, 1st of all, thanks for the content u work on, its really usefull and beautyfull, its right the essence that i want to capture on my trips, thanks for that!
Now, i would like to ask you something. recently i got a Sony A6400 withouth lens, and i'm trying to decide wich lens buy.
The versatility that offers a zoom its really important. as you say, you dont want to change over and over the lens in anyplace of the street.
I've seen a bunch of people, youtubers, talking about tamron 17-70, but there's the Sigma 18-50. Why did you pick the Tamron over the Sigma? and you think its worth to pay more fore the tamron? (dont include Sony, its to much money LOL)
And sorry for do lot of questions but dude i really like ur way!
You're using Samyang 12mm too, why using that one over the Sigma 16mm or maybe the sony 11mm or even Tamron 11-20?
Could be great see some of those contents in your channel, although your content is different, i dont know, keep doing things like you do hehe
Hello! Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate comments like this. I actually have a mate who was in the exact same sitch as you (6400 looking for a zoom)
I did a whole vid breaking this down (the one about the tamron 17-70 on my channel) but basically:
-i love zooming so the extra 20mm on the tamron is worth the money for me (I've used 70mm for a lot of my shots so definitely got my money's worth)
-if you dont think you need 50-70mm def go for sigma as its quite a bit cheaper AND its smaller and lighter!
Hey Jimmy. Great content as always! May I ask--how do you determine the aperture to use?
thank you! I basically think about how many "layers" in the foto I want to be in focus. If I want everything in focus (e.g. for buildings or street stuff) I use a higher aperture (usually 4-5 but I really should start shooting higher like F8 to ensure everythings actually in focus).
Portraits (for blurry background) or night shots (where I want to let in more light) I use lower apertures like F1.4-F2
