Better analogy than I would have thought. We even have an immortal emperor (ok, “phoenix emperor” wasn’t literally immortal but still the reference is there) who possess incredible power and use of lightning. And the son with facial damage, weaker in the force but incredible combat dedication, who can have a redemption arc.

I love how the force is so versatile with how ppl use it like the twins used it to augment their physical fighting prowess but the sister used it more as a sorcery
Yes, I find it extremely similar to the ancient chinese concepts of chi in wushu, wherein there were the forces of yin and yang. So, basically, the force is space-wushu, especially as wushu-magic is basically force-sorcery.
She wasn't a sorcerer tenebrae was too scared to teach her all sith magic archemy rituals ect she would have become too powerful for him to stop, especially if she learned the rituals to absorb the force powers of living beings

Favourite bit with Vaylin is when you try to flirt with her in echos of oblivion and her response is to straight up laugh and reject you, shows just how despite your player character being able to flirt and seduce other star wars characters,Vaylin doesn't care for romance or anyone just herself.

Vaylin's conditioning was discipline. She didn't threaten me after that. She also would never be able to become more powerful than me because the ritual I did to become immortal eventually made it where I could consume the essence of anyone who dies no matter where they are in the galaxy.

Possessive love is one that is more concerned with not losing the object of one’s affection as opposed to the person themselves. Anakin, for example, his love for Padme was not what turned him to the dark side but his fear of losing her.
What Valkorion had created, would've been also on the same level to also oppose Sidious/Palpatine. Empress Vaylin, Emperor Valkorion and Emperor Palpatine, sounds like that could be an equal battle

Vaylin is quite the interesting character in Star Wars. Since Valkorian was coming from the unknown regions of space, Arcann and Thexann were trained in a swordsmanship style that is most likely unknown, so of course the same could be said about Vaylin. So I'm not sure if there is more lore that can be found on her, but I definitely want to see her and all of the Eternal Empire in live action, hell people, all of the Old Republic needs to be in live action. Make happen Lucasfilm and Disney we are all waiting!
Yes but unfortunately Disney could never handle that with their “pg” mentality or their views on society. Not to mention their writing is going downhill in general ever since captain marvel (arguably even before). I would t trust their writers with the greatness of the old republic. They destroyed so much of the original trilogy as it stands. Sure people say mandalorian is great (wouldn’t know as I’m afraid to touch it, I’ll watch it eventually but I’m causations now), but could they handle the likes of Revan or Bane? Or even Naha Sadow or Nomi sunrider or Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun, Uliq qel-droma, etc? I’m really skeptical. It’s sad but a very serious question to ask oneself. I’m a huge Star Wars fan been one since the original trilogy on vhs and I’m only 24 but recent years have made me a skeptic of disneys choices. Anyways, I’m on deployment and have little time to view the newer shows. I’ll see them eventually. I was lucky enough to have time to watch Visions and Loki on my disney+ on base. Loved clone wars as a kid but bane was handled poorly. Looked nothing like his interpretation and creation content from Drew Karpyshyyn.
She's basically Anakin as a female. If you really think about it, she traveled the same path as Anakin did. Both of them are beings with extraordinary powers beyond most Force-sensitives and were ultimately turned into weapons of evil in the end. Not to mention that many people feared their particular talents. Vaylin was feared by her father and her mother discouraged her from using the Force, Anakin was discouraged from realizing his full potential as the Chosen One because many Jedi feared how strong he was becoming.
@@99thJediWarrior You're right now that I think about it. However, Vaylin realized her full power when she undid the restraints on her force power, meanwhile, Anakin was arrogant and lost his other limbs then got torched, as a result his mediclorian count dropped big time.
@@ejrodriguez2656 Anakin actually didn't lose power because of the loss of his limbs. He simply hated himself. While hate is used to amp the Dark Side, self loathing acts like a block for it. In fact, Vader could have still been more powerful than Sidious had he hated himself less and Sidious more. Had Vader ever been taken out of his suit and healed properly he most likely would have reverted to the Light much sooner, as it was the constant pain and utter lack of sleep that kept Anakin submerged in the darkness. Vader knew this, it's why he never made his suit more comfortable. The suit was actively designed by Sidious to weaken Vader and leave him in as much pain as possible because he feared Anakin (light side) ever returning. On a side note, part of Vaders casual disregard for the lives around him probably stems from a form of sleep deprived psychosis.

Since we never got an ending for Legends continuity, my personal headcanon is that Vitiate/Valkorion returns, and is the last opponent Luke Skywalker faces; which is particularly painful as Vitiate is possessing...the body of Anakin Solo!

Itd be cool if they made a sith series. Shows how the sith species started off on korriban and shows when the first groups fallen jedi came to their world and how they changed the sith species into the sith way.

If I was in charge of the next 10-15 years of shows and movies!! I’d set up 1st a show Revan! Detailing his early battles with the Mandalorian’s that will lead into the first KOTOR movies that will show both Revan and Malik fighting against the threat leading to there turn to the darkside setting up the next movie KOTOR 2 when them both battle against the republic but ends with Malik of course betraying Revan leading to his capture by the Jedi. Then comes another series of his journey to rediscover his self!! And falling in love with the amazing Jedi Bastilation. Then KOTOR 3 confronting and defeating Malik but in the end we learn there’s been someone pulling Malik’s strings someone prepared to strike a major blow to the republic!! End of the 1st KOTOR trilogy!! Of course we don’t want a complete copy of the games story but it sounds better trying to flesh the story out over a full trilogy with series in between each film say 2-3 years apart!! Then have an anthology film telling the story building details of this dark lord that’s been pulling the strings aka Darth vitiate. This movie can tell his rise to power from a young age up to becoming the dark lord!! So basically have a couple of trilogies with multiple series in between adding more lore and set up!! The 2nd KOTOR trilogy can be the story of Revan and the Republic searching out The dark threat coming from the unknown regions a.k.a. the Sith that’s been hiding and building up at strength at the order of Darth vitiate. Show the incredible deadly battles throughout the galaxy!! Leading up to the Jedi and Revan confronting vitiate in the third film with Revan seeming to have sacrificed himself to beat the dark lord but taken along with the dark lord fleeing. With the last KOTOR Trilogy being the story of the eternal fleet!! Again with series and Anthology movies throughout!! Over 10 years this could be done and be like what marvel did with infinity war & Endgame!!

When the outlander had to fight a (clone) spirit of Valkorian/ Tenebrae a second time that spirit was getting knowledge about the previous spirit of Tenebrae from a group of Jedi under Satele's guidance...Vaylin saw one of the Padawan's body and her spirit clamed that body...Valorian inherited power
She could've become like a powerful goddess of force powers but her lack of discipline and immaturity is what led to her death. It is rumored that during the end of Echoes of Oblivion when you were busy fighting Tenebrae for the last time she hopped into one of the unconscious bodies in the area and escaped. Nothing is confirmed about that though it's just what the cutscenes indicated.

Valkorian never captured Senya during her attempt to rescue Vaylin. The White Knights of Zakuul, who showed up in the video, were solely loyal to Senya, as she created the white knight order. Her knights stopped her from making a mistake by trying to rescue Vaylin with Valkorian now present on Nathema. (As you can see the knights only forced her to retreat to dropship before letting her go once it took off.) After her knights rescued her, she left Valkorian and the Eternal Empire, going rogue.
In KOTFE, once Vaylin assumed the throne, Empress Vaylin sought out the remaining White Knights of Zakuul and hunted them down, as they were loyal only to Senya.
She was truly powerfull, but without a proper training this power would destroy her sooner or later.
That was an awesome breakdown . And I always wondered what happened to her . Very cool video and yes I'd love to see more lore about her

No matter what dialog of the three options you have, she dies either way. Unfortunately there's no bringing her on as a companion and romancing her. The only reason arcann got that option was because his writer was in love with him. Not even joking either.
no, difference in Dark side playthru is that you have Lana and Theron Shan with you instead of Arcann & Senya when you confront Valkorian. Arcann & Senya either both live (LS) or both die on Voss (DS), you can't have one without the other.

The forceusers of Zakuul yellow lightsabers are not dark or lightside, they get their power in the force thru dedication to their leader.

As an avid gamer, I always found it disturbing from a fan perspective that power always seems to be increasing in these force-users. I prefer to take more of a 'entropy is always increasing' stance to the power levels in a story. This is something that Battletech does well.

Darth Nihilus, Sion, Revan, Malik, Bane, Malgus, Andeddu, Vitiate, Krayt, Etc.

The player character in the swtor mmo. Technically you can do it as any of 8 classes (4 republic, 4 imperial, two of each are force users and the other two aren’t), so I’m not sure there’s an official set up for them or not.
Thexan was the best still he'd best either of his siblings in a fair fight.

Vaylin was a very interesting character in all of the old republic. Also what was with her face looking so much like a man in the cinematic trailer. It’s even in the thumbnail, when I saw her for the first time I seriously thought it was a man. While I say everyone in the Old Republic looks way better in the Cinematic Trailers, the same can’t be said for Vaylin.
Can we just point out how you say every person is one the most powerful force users in SW lore….

Vaylin 24900 , Arcann 2400 and Valkorion has 25 000. Vaylin would crush starkiller like gizka. You may compare her with Valkorion or Anakin, but please dont put starkiller in this group.
Starkiller just can't be reference, he was scared to death when he visit Degibah when he sence Yoda's power. Believe or not Yoda is also not in Valkorion's family group. Valkorion family was most powerull. The only person more powerfull is Anakin IF he reach his potential.
Starkiller and Yoda bay best all Valkorion's children's in lighsaber battle, but not with the force. Conserning Valkorion, well he can kill starkiller and Yoda in the same time.

If Vaylin had a natural affinity with the force what's the big deal about Rey?
Vaylin (like Starkiller) was surrounded by Force users, who explained and demonstrated it in front of her on many occasions. Rey, however, was not and never really knew or believed in it until her adventure begins. Her power should have been consistent with how Luke and Anakin were portrayed, both naturally strong in the Force, but still needing teaching and training to "activate" it consciously.
And *that's* the big deal about Rey, Charlie Brown!😀
I think that the Old Republic era as a whole could use a little more love and not just in video games. I'll take book series or TV mini-series. Anything to show that there is more to Star Wars: The Old Republic than just games, even though they are fun.
