He ruled for over a thousand years. He's the Sith Emperor that Sidious wishes he was.
I agree. This Valkorian is the true OG of the sith
Yea only difference is Sidious actually ruled the whole known galaxy and not the just only the outer rim. But he was definitely extremely powerful, just a little foolish in the end in his demise like all sith really.
@@krxwnvxk3432Vitiate did rule the entire galaxy for a period about the same time as Valkorion under the Eternal Empire. The real difference is that Vitiate has about a millennia more of experience.
@xoulman9236 hmmm. I was pretty positive that he tried to do that by force and wasn't really in control over the whole galaxy, though he was fighting to do that almost doing so before being defeated. I am not positive so u may be right
@@krxwnvxk3432 I am stating what happened in KOTE/FE. The Republic and Empire all were crushed within the span of a year. Years had passed during certain parts of KOTFE and KOTET and as the "outlander", you learn that both sides had to delegate themselves to Valkorarion, Arcann, and their whole Dynasty. That same length of time was around or just under the 20ish years Palpatine ruled the Galactic Empire.
As far as him achieving his true form in the later parts of Galaxy at Siege, Rise of the Sith, etc. He never did, but he had a grip on both sides for at least a decade and a half.
Been saying this for years. Old Republic era and majority of its legendary history and characters were just BUILT DIFFERENT
They also didn't have a certain Ma Rey Sue in them
They were in fact built different than most modern jedi and sith. However if we go by statements and feat wise the new sith outclass the old in many ways. Not to mention that the new sith had to deal with the literall embodiments of the Force in human form, aka Anakin and Luke.
Darth Sidious far surpasses that of any old sith. And if we go further down then Darth Caedus would be potentially the only one who actually could surpass Sidious
@@eonragnarock2366 the old Sith had more more impressive feats then the new ones
@zaiken639 is true, but you also gotta understand that the modern Sith and Jedi feats in the books all came before the old republic. So every feat you saw in the old republic that was used was later fleshed out more, hence the reason they have these insane feats. However, if darth maul, sidious, dooku , etc, were written after the old republic was made, then for certain, they would have shown feats far better than what we got to see from them.
@@eonragnarock2366 well I mean you could be right about that but idk the old republic was an era with thousands of Jedi and Sith with way more intense wars then the prequels that made them battle hardened so it only makes sense for them to be more skilled cause of the shit they went through and not to mention dealing with one of the most powerful being to ever exist probably even more so then Palpatine which is Vitiate/Valkorian/Tenebrae
Arcann did not kill his brother in cold blood. He struck him down in blind rage and immediately regretted it.
Valkorian was so powerful that even the force itself had to go against him
The force also went against Sidious (and Plagueis) by conceiving the Chosen One.
@@deesnutts2611the force had to directly intervene with the immortal sith emperor with sidious the force intervened indirectly making a being to punish them

Imagine being so evil that you make other evil beings go "whoa dude, too far."
You forgot to mention that the one who dubbed him Darth Vitiate was none other than Marka Ragnos himself, yup the first Sith Emperor named and in a way marked him as true successor,
@@zordusthedeathsong what sort of mutant troll are you babbling on about
He was born a demon made his Otho mad the day he was born and en slaves his whole village at the age of 6
Not the first, the longest reigning Sith Emperor before Tenebrae. One of the few, if not only, Sith to die peacefully in his sleep at an old age after living for centuries in a time where few Darths lived past 30.
Ragnos also gave him lordship of the planet Medriaas (Nathema)
Not to mention that he was mentored by him too as well as was chosen by him to be his successor, which is why he told him to go into hiding to not get involved in the subsequent power grab once he died.
Vitiate is definitely the most evil being in Star Wars. He wanted to destroy the universe just because he could. He wasn’t really a being but an entity after he destroyed Nathema. So much so that when Scourge glimpsed what Vitiate truly was, he collapsed and cried out in anguish. Behind Abeloth and grandmaster Luke Skywalker, vitiate is the most powerful force user ever. Vitiate is the Thanos of Star Wars.
Nope. Completly wrong. Vitiate in a sense was not evil at all. He was simply indifferent towards anything except his own goal of becoming some sort of god. Unlike Palpatine, he did not enjoy in torturing or killing anyone without the reason.
@@aleksazunjic9672 the most evil in history always felt the most justified to commit the horrors they did to others. They never felt they were the bad guy, even as they broke societies and countries in horrible ways.
You need to rethink this.
@@aleksazunjic9672The fact that he didn’t care about anyone but himself, that he was willing to kill innocents, betray companions, slaughter and massacre thousands, even entire planets…
That is pure evil. Not indifference. Evil.
I don’t think he was dismissive of his atrocities more contextualizing his motivations in comparison to Palpatine. Both by a normal moral compass are “evil” but Vitiate didn’t get off on the suffering of others, but was more singularly focused in his goal of becoming a god. I’m not a fan myself of one dimensional characters and the black and white idea of good and evil.
@@shkotayd9749well you could say that for the “good guys” as well. Committing atrocities in war, trading one life for another, as long as it was for “the greater good”. How do you distinguish between good an evil when everyone is willing to do bad things as long as they perceive that there is someone more evil than themselves and they are doing what’s best?
What’s the real difference between vitiate and Sidious? Where Sidious does all this stuff “for the greater good” saying the only way to rid the galaxy of chaos is to bring it under the rule of one, himself. But he hates jedi, rules the sith, but really thinks himself above the sith and it’s doctrine, and takes delight in making others suffer. He’s also a documented racist 😂 the man does NOT like non humans. vitiate does literally the same things but without trying to justify it. Simply because he wants to and he can. He despises the Jedi, sith, everyone because he sees them as beneath him. And he kills with indifference
So if the farmer's wife had stayed faithful, the most evil Sith lord would never have existed.
This is extremely terrifying. Really terrifying. He was pure evil. Born from dark side. This is too much even for Sidious. Even for him. I now know what happened to Revan in KOTOR. Glad he escaped, returned and destroyed and banished the Sith for a time. Sidious said: I don't wish to rule over the galaxy of the dead. This is the most vile being or whatever ever. Absolute evil. Even Sith despise him and loath him. You choose good pick. We will be vary of the dark. Have a great day too
I think a main reason Sidious would not be as powerful as Vitiate...is this simple fact
"I dont want to rule a galaxy of the dead."
Sidious is pragmatic, Vitiate is a soulless monster.
He has a amazing quote stating that after he consume the galaxy that he will await the cycle of life to start over again and wants to become everything: From being a simple farmer to a God.
And he knows the existance of other galaxies and will choose to ignore them or not.
He has no plans to rule a empty voided Galaxy. He expects cycle of life to restart again and again and again...
@@galacticfirefly6060 it just said in the video he would destroy the whole universe for his own ends if he must.
The rule of two sith gave up on brute force. Instead they learned to be leaders who accepted loss. Sadly it is a lesson Palp failed when he killed off the Jedi. The use of the Jedi could have been immeasurable
@@benisaac5615 this is a Quote that the Sith Emperor says ingame:
“You discern a fraction of reality. Beyond these stars exist other galaxies, other worlds, other beings. I will experience or ignore them as I wish. I will spend eternity becoming everything: a farmer, an artist, a simple man. When the last living thing in the universe finally dies, I will enjoy peace and wait for the cycle to begin again."
The Star Wars galaxy is merely his conduit. He will consume all life in the galaxy to truly become Godlike and then finally be at peace and he will then await for the cycle of life to start anew. And then he will become whatever he wish and shape whatever civilizations.
@galacticfirefly6060 He reminds me of Thanos in a way, Thanos wanted to extinguish half of all life in the galaxy and then live in peace. In Endgame, we see him living as a farmer.
There was a stark contrast between Nihilus and Valkorion. Both are, essentially, world eaters. The difference's in the how and why. Nihilus was a slave to his own hunger. He ate, because he couldn't not eat. It was impulsive, essentially a galactic level natural disaster of which he was simply point zero.
Valkorion WANTED this. He planned for it and took painstaking steps to make it so. He was using no technique, nor was himself some form of wound in the Force: he literally played a millenia long con, followed by struggling against one of the greatest Jedi to ever live for centuries, to pull the trigger on this.
Darth Vitiate/Valkorion (Valkorion's Voice Actor is just amazing and captivating) is one of my all time favorite Sith, just behind the greatest Sith Darth Nox.
Straight up, Valkorion was the best performance in Darin de Paul's career.
Valkorian was way more bad ass than Palpatine. Palpy just made clones of himself and had an insufferable granddaughter while Valkorian lived in the minds of his enemies, built a civilization that dominated the empire and republic, and stole force energy from entire planets rendering them large asteroids. Palpy was simply Valkorian's secretary.
Insufferable and delusional, seriously that disney fan-fic is just disgusting
Palpatines rule of 1 did establish he wanted to live forever as the only sith Lord.
Vitiate ironically was fulfilling the rule of one better than Sidious could.
Valkorion promised them glory and victory. And from a certain point of view he gave them that.
In the short term, the problem was his long term plans
It always gives me chills that Vitiate, as a Sith he actually understood and agreed with the last tenet of the Jedi code, but applied his own twisted logic to it. For in Vitiate's words "There is no death, there is the Force, and I am its master".
Ever since i first found out about vitiate ive been obsessed with how powerful he is
Me too! He can literally suck life force from people and transfer his essence. So dope.
Same!
Have you read Legends Darth Sidious?
Legends Darth Caedus?
@@eonragnarock2366 Dude, even legends Sideous wishes he was as strong as Vitiates farts... Theres still no guarantee that Valkorion is dead now.
"When the last living thing in the universe finally dies, I will enjoy peace and wait for the cycle to begin again."
Theres literally no reason to believe hes dead at all, and very well he could just be elsewhere, or waiting till he feels like taking another form...
Disney really missed the opportunity as Tenebrae is Vitiate and Valkorion, and Plagueis is Sideous' master, and Tenebrous was Plageuis. Not tying Valkorion into the creation of the chosen one was SUCH a missed opportunity.
But in seriousness, even in legends, Palps could barely essence transfer, and when he did the body would rot like it had leprosy.
Valkorion could COMPLETELY control multiple bodies that he gave TRUE IMMORTALITY(doesnt age/degrade)
Sheev does have atleast ONE thing on Valkorion.... he was MUCH better at hiding himself...
Mind you, theyre both VERY good at everything.
Palps is probably a better saber duelist as well....
Which kinda says alot... Because Palpatine had to fall back on his saber skills MANY times, even though he himself saw his need to as a sign of weakness...
Also, if we go by legends, Palps had relativistic reflexes(light speed, or very close) which is a dumb feat.
Although Luke did too by legends.
However, even with all that, I dont think that without Revan and The family, that anybody could even hurt Valkorion.
Even if Sheev did kill his body, he could essence transfer like no other. He was also able to TOTALLY control other people as though they were just skin suits... Sith lords and people like Revan...
Not just strong willed people... The STRONGEST willed people alive at the time and arguably the strongest alive ever(To be fair, doing so to Revan was literally the thing that opened a weakness that lead to his downfall)
But honestly.... In his wettest wet dreams, Sheev wishes he had an ounce of the might of The Dragon of Zakul
Sideous < on essence transfer
Sideous< on feats
Sideous< on true immortality
Sideous< Sith ritual and Sith alchemy
and..... Im not even sure sheev would literally be able to kill him... Probably eventually with some of his own sith rituals to somehow loosen Valks tie to reality/bodies/life....
I mean, ffs, if were being smart and fair, Valks could take over a few other people and like 3v1 him without even using his own main bodies.... Sideous cant even answer that
The only thing that put Valks away at all was Revan, AND the family working with the sith to stop Valks... literally took the greatest jedi ever besides Anakin, AND the order, AND dudes eternal family AND the sith all working togather.
And theres still no guarantee hes even really gone.
How could you even tell?
Valks is THAT strong that its dumber to assume you finished him off than it is to assume he just decided to wait, or go do something else elsewhere
Even in legends, they didnt even dream of making daddy sheev that OP....
Palps is the perfection of the sith
Valkorion is THE FORCE
@timwelsh0777 there are many factors to play in here for once no one in the old republic ever faced a skywalker. Now you might me saying oh a skywalker like that ain't nothing but you know it is. All skywalkers are literal Force demigods in human form.
You have to also understand the point in time in which these stories where made
Legends Sidious was made way before Valokiron even showed up. Of course Valkorion would have these crazy abilities they where made after Sidious. You go by feats shown , I go by statements made countless times as to why Darth Sidious is the most powerful Sith. Valkorion is not the Force. He wishes he was a Skywalker
Well you got your answer..... Rey is Valkorion, disney did use him and his essence transfer
If Vitiate hadn't been stopped and had been able to absorb all life in the the universe, he would've effectively *become the Force.*
Atleast in the area of all the nearby galaxies XD
in order to become the force he would learn about light side too lol

@@justindenning6015 You're right. When Malak and I confronted the Emperor, he didn't even have to fight us. Instead, he broke our wills. He dominated our minds, turning us into puppets to do his bidding. But though we had underestimated the Emperor's power, he underestimated us as well. Our wills were stronger than he thought. Our minds twisted and perverted his instructions until we thought we were acting of our own accord. Malak and I were turned to the Dark Side, but in doing so, we found the strength to block out all memories of him and his empire, partially freeing us from his control.
One does not get Doug Bradley to voice a character if they are NOT the most vile being in your lore.
I always had problem with statement that Palpatine is most powerful sith to exists since it was said at the absolute beginig of star wars. To see extend of Palpatine's power you have to read comics and books which will many just won't do. Valkorian showed us his power in game. I had to make Wiki deep dive to find Palpatine's most powerful feat in canon and it still felt like nothing in comparasion to Vitiate. BTW nice video.
I don’t know if he is evil in the sense that he is malicious or simply not caring about you. I like that idea dudufilms made that he simply values his life above all else.
At the end of his supposed life he doesn’t necessarily want you dead, he just wants all the life in the universe for himself and you to fear death so you value life.
He hates the Jedi as they accept death far too easy and they don’t see or appreciating life for what it is. He hates sith as they deem themselves powerful enough to overcome death but they never live for the right reasons. See non of the values of the sith matter, every empire will fall and the only thing that matters is life itself. Only when you fear AND accept death you can truly live. Neither the sith or Jedi understand this. To experience emotions and new things, to win and lose, love and hate… to become your own person unlike the Jedi and sith who just fight for ideas their orders passes forward.
He wants power and to be immortal but unlike the sith he wants it because he wants to experience and be anything and everything forever. To live as a farmer, an emperor, the villain and the hero. Don’t get me wrong he has been more evil than Sidious but he is so much deeper than just evil.
He is as far removed from mortal as any mortal can be but in some ways he is more human than any of us, having lived through centuries. Having loved and lost. He understands you far better than you will ever understand him. He wants many of the same things you want.
In the end his only flaw was his arrogance, something that I am sure he would have corrected if he survived somewhere.
"somehow, Valkorian returned"...
Great writing, right there.
Not somehow through Essence transfer
The thing is, vitiate is powerful enough to return “somehow” because almost no one can comprehend what he’s capable of and there is lore that supports that, it wasn’t mentioned in this video but there is a chapter after he was defeated where a remnant of his being or essence was taking over Zakuul scions and Jedi , the chapter is called "echoes of oblivion”
However Palpatine “somehow” retuning is just stupid and lazy
Sidious tried ti become Valkorian and failed
He wanted to be immortal a god among men and rule the galaxy forever
Valkorian in becoming immortal hallowed out his heart and mostly felt fear anger and hate
He cared only if his survival and would erase and consume life in Eve galaxy and become immortal and start all over again and repeat
Sidious didn’t need to hollow his heart to be who is is and had he had Valkorians knowledge would consume galaxies as well be immortal and do the same
Only his godhood was interrupted by Luke and the Rebels and didn’t have the chance to reach Valkorians level
Actually him trying to take the Power of the Mortis Gods at their realm was proof as well, how he was willing to manipulate time and remake the world in his own image
Even if Sidious had all of Vitiate's knowledge, he still would have needed Zildrog to pull it off. Given that Zildrog was destroyed, Sidious wouldn't have been able to pull off everything Vitiate did.
@@karlrovey Valkorian Was Lord Vitiate That lived during the first Sith Empire
Born Tenabrae. He killed his father and took over his world
Marka Ragnos the greatest and last true Dark Lord of the Sith was impressed with Tenabrae and called him Lord Vitiate
After Ragnos died, the rivalry between Naga Sadow and Ludo Kreesh ultimately destroyed the Sith Empire
Vitiate remained neutral and instead developed the ritual that made him immortal
As the Republic was closing in on the Sith
Vitiate lured I think about a thousand Sith Lords claiming he had the answer to their problems
Instead he dominated their minds and made them power his ritual
The ritual took absorbed all life force on the planet to the Microorganisms, and draw it all into Vitate, not only making him more powerful but immortal
But it also made him insane, hollowing out his emotions which shaped his future actions
He then lead the exodus to Dromund Kaas to create his Resurgent Sith Empire with himself as the immortal Sith Emperor
But Vitiate was beyond a Sith and Jedi and had his sights beyond the known galaxy
Vitiate can transfer his spirit to other bodies to ensure his immortality, that’s when he possessed the ruler of Zakuul and became Valkorian
Even as he plotted to expand his ritual and absorb all life in the galaxy to ensure he’ll be a god and live forever, the Eternal Empire was a backup plan as he viewed he outgrew the Sith, and continued his ambitions as Valkorian
Palpatine was able to master Essence Transfer and transfer his body to other vessels and live on
But he didn’t achieve Valkorian’s level of nearly becoming a God
Which would have been a complex ritual that would have eradicated all life in the galaxy to make the user immortal and Godlike
But Palpatine had other plans to be a God, seeking the Mortis Gods, wanting yo access their realm between worlds and manipulate time as he pleased, but Ezra Bridger thwarted that
As well as Luke Skywalker, delaying Palpatine from studying the secrets of the Force, by destroying the Death Star and made Palpatine more involved in leading his crumbling Empire
Vitiate was able to become immortal because he had the time and genius to study the secrets of the Force
Palpatine had the genius, amorality. and ambition but didn’t have the time to achieve Vitiate’s achievements, saving the galaxy from someone whose arguably a worse madman than him
@christophersanchez7731 Have you played through the "Nathema Conspiracy" SWTOR story arc? It strongly implies that Vitiate's ritual used Zildrog in some way in order to consume the life on Nathema.
@@karlrovey that might be an updated ritual
He used an alchemy based ritual to make Lord Scourge Immortal without consuming life but was painful for him
The Zildrog was his attempt using the Eternal Empire as another way to fulfill his ambition
@@christophersanchez7731 Zildrog had been inactive for so long that if Vitiate had gone that route, it would have had to be for the original ritual. It's worth noting that we see Zildrog giving his strength to the non-sacrifice helpers.
In other words, I don't think Vitiate was strong enough to pull off the initial ritual on his own.
Tenebrae, Vitiate, Valkorion... The ultimate Evil being. He made whole sith armies fear him. Lived for ages...
He changed the Sith views for ever. Nathema was cut off the force itself after his ritual... Something never happened ever again.
True He transformed the sith and made them more powerful
Palpatine not wanting to rule over a galaxy of the dead was just a personal preference. He wanted different things than Vitiate, but that doesn't mean he's any less evil. I don't think he'd have a moral issue with doing anything Vitiate did, he just didn't want to.
They were both no truth but power but Sid wanted control. Control is not necessarily evil depending on the ends but Vit was pure destruction. Even the Sith only wanted freedom from the force
Might've mentioned Darth Traya; her ambitions regarding the Force were about as epically grandiose...
Aaand she immediately gets her own video. Nice!
Great video, one thing I would add is that he build Eternal Empire of Zakuul while rulling the Sith Empire. As he can be in multiple places at the same time.

but can Valk beat Goku?
Emperor Vitiate/ Vakorian- a dark lord too dark for even the Sith. Now that's dark. He is truly the darkside incarnate.
Sidious is but a child compared to Valkorion
Didn't Palpatine say himself that even he was nothing compared to the old Masters?
@@chrismc410 yes he said something along those lines I believe in a canon comic
When Valcorian fell for the second time it took the mightiest Sith and Jedi in the galaxy and his own family to end his spirit. Yet the question remains is he truly gone? Sidious could not touch his power, yet the spirits/force ghosts of sith from the old republic era and before were present as he tried to transfer his consciousness into his daughter. Valkorion's death should have revitalized the dark side but it did not. so is his spirit truly gone? I fear it is not. Always his words were meanings within meanings, truth cloaked in lies, wrapped in truth covered by more lies ad nauseum. Always was deception covering his every action and word as he played a very very long game lasting over a millenia. To still exist while the galaxy believes him long gone would amuse him for he so loved surprises.
I had the same theory, he did say he wanted to experience everything the Galaxy had to offer before he consumed it, maybe that is what he has been doing the entire time through the Modern Era Star Wars Galaxy.
I refuse to believe that a entity as cunning and powerful as Vitiate did not cover his every step with safeguards. I think at the point of Valkorian he transcended from being the most powerful Sith to a Force Entity on the level of Abeloth just with more cunning and patience. Let me know what you think, I dread to think Vitiate popping up and saying:
“You thought I died fuckers?”
I PRAY you're wrong!!!
Did you play through the missions when Kira and Scourge find the commander and guide him to destroy the last remnant of Vitiates soul? Without saying too much, basically the opposite of what you said ends up happening. He had one last ritual to maintain his existence separate from the rest and it almost worked. After this even scourge started to feel the galaxy was different for the first time and started to feel emotions as the effects of immortality changed when vitiate was truly gone.
@@killermouse01 I have played it all through. And that was an ending.... for now....
Vitiate can return. His connection to the force cant be severed
Posting this video right after the prior video really does put emphasis on the absolute terror of Valkorion.
Don't forget Zildrog! He used it to drain the life force of the sith lords on Medriaas (now Nathema). It wasn't until ziost that he himself was powerful enough to drain life from an entire planet without the aid of Zildrog+ the gravestone.
Malevolence like this always destroys itself because it eventually despises its own existence and turns on itself. It never lasts long enough to do the damage it sets out to achieve. Its own insanity becomes the feedback loop that destroys it.
So, this has only a little to do with the video, but the Sith Emperor was one of my favorite elements of SWTOR. MMORPGs can be fun, bur so many of them are so repetitive, especially from character to character. This is my favorite thing about SWTOR; each job is a different campaign. Sure, Troopers and Consulars who go to Taris will see a lot of the same stuff; do some of the same side quests, but they do different things, and interact with different NPCs, and I love that. I knew from Day 1 I needed to main a Jedi Knight; I don't usually play Star Wars to be a grunt soldier, and so I hoped that the Knight story was good...itcwas great!
I finished Knight, Trooper, Inquisitor, and a fair bit of several of the other stories, all the way into Valkorian's stuff, but I still feel that I liked Knight the most, and part of that was simply Vitiate. Throughout other stories, the Sith Emperor is certainly mentioned, but only the Knight uses him as an actual individual, and let's you fight him. One of my biggest gripes wirh MMOs is raid bosses. You go fight the Lich King, but you fight him alongside 30+ other players, and once Arthas is defeated, all of you are just gone. Trion shows up, basically claims the credit, and then Bolvar takes the Crown, becoming the new Lich King. Your contribution is practically meaningless. SWTOR doesn't do that. The Knight fights the Sith Emperor, more or less alone, because he's a mind-fuddling puppet master, and you beat him. YOU get credit for bearing him, and other NPCs reference your victory! It made me so happy, because it made my MMO feel more like a solo game.😊 And good as Inquisitor and Trooper could be, Knight was my favorite because they gave you the fight with the Emperor, and he was this beast, and you still conquered him!
He's definitely a monster, as a character, with no redeeming qualities, and it takes work to push the Sith ideals to the point where even they are like "no, that's not acceptable!" He also had about as many bolt hole plans as Palpatine, and did an even better job of comic book charactering himself back into the plot, usually without the power loss. Sidious came back in Legends, but one of his "loyal" servants (screw you Carnor Jax!) sabotaged it, and so his Clones were all defective, and the Disney Emperor...yeah they just needed something to make him need to use the characters, so his essence transfer was incomplete, or imperfect, but Valkorian seemed beyond such bothersome limitations.
Vitiate should have been the sith lord behind everything at the end of episode 9, they could have made it so that he reveals that everything from clone wars era, empire and first order eras was his doing
This makes me wonder if Sidious would be the same if he lived as long as Vitiate. The motivations of Vitiate seem to come from a place of immortality and boredom. He has a lot of time on his hands and a limited amount of things to entertain himself with, so he's constantly looking for the next big thrill with zero regards to how destructive it is as long as he gets a kick out of it. Then once he's bored he'll move on to his next escapade.
I wager this is the same reason he kept Revan for centuries. Because Revan walked in light and dark, his mind was a source of inspiration for Vitiate and it appears to have even led the emperor to emulate him; he starts a family as Valkorion, lays the groundworks of this "Outlander" hero who will free the Eternal Empire and unite the Sith and Republic.

I like how the sith knows they are bad but they agree they're not insane and ruthless like Vitiate. The jedi and Sith can agree on one thing, Vitiate had to be erased
Vitiate was not insane. In fact, he was one of the rare Sith that was fully rational. Sith in general would hide their psychopathic and sadistic urges behind the call of Dark Side. Vitiate on the other hand simply had a goal of becoming god. He did not want to kill for the sake of killing.

I came to the conclusion Sith names are giving to individuals based on their character, or something specifically unique to them. Sith names like most names also have a meaning behind them. For example Stephen/steven means crown or wreath. The basic definition of Tenebrae is darkness or shadows. The basic definition of Vitiate is to destroy or impair. This describes Darth Vitiate to a tee.
If you play SWTOR as a light side alignment sith sorcerer the title you gain at the end is Darth Imperius, because light side choices in that class story are basically doing what's best for the empire. I played one who was still definitely a sith and had selfish and evil tendencies, but above all else he truly wanted what's best for the empire and believed that doing so meant doing best for its people and allies, even if he had selfish personal motivations for doing it all. He saw his own role as being a fundamental part of an ideal empire and making the empire a better place ultimately benefitted himself through benefitting the people. For this reason his relationship to Valkorion was a rather interesting one of wanting to learn from Valkorion, but also hating him for using the empire so harmfully.
Emperor Valkorian was a superior being , and as such lowly commoners have to realize that Superior beings owe NOTHING to their inferiors .
The sole purpose of the existence of inferiors is to serve and be of use to those that are better than them .
So , in a nutshell..........
If your Emperor uses you to gain power and immortality , you should bow down and be grateful.
He is Jar jar binks who was plaguis the wise
The trailers for SWTOR are enough to cement Valkorian as the greatest villain of the SW universe. Better story than anything disney did with the sequel trilogy.
Sidious is a shallow knockoff who WISHES he was Valkorion!
Great video you do such a good job of explaining these characters!
I want see Darth valkorion to have more star wars content
Disney would fuck up his character, let’s leave him in Legends where greatness and epic characters exists
Disney will turn him into a lighthearted family friendly watered down censored pg rainbow sunshine Saturday morning kiddish cartoon villain cracking silly jokes
And twirling his mustache and saying hey don't put no banana in my tailpipe.
What does your crown mean if you rule over _NOTHING_ ? I concur that this dude was evil, but he was *Stupid* evil. What point is there to wiping out _EVERYTHING_ if you have no witnesses, no "lessers" to be _awed_ , nothing left to fear you? Power-wise? Sure! He sounds like he's at the top of the list, but again, so what? Not a lot of thought required to "Blink" everything out of existence. This dude was born with a "black spoon in his mouth". It came off as though he didn't have to learn or toil at all to gain power. Sidious is the epitome of evil, no question. Valkorion is the epitome of power, no doubt, but he lacked the intelligence, the cunning, the natural manipulate powers of Palpatine. Evil and Power are two different things and one doesn't necessesarily equate the other. I mean just think about it before you brush me off...What is more evil? To kill a being outright or have the being _KNOW_ you could kill it outright at anytime, but...don't? There are many things to consider when comparing the "evil" of someone to another. \m/ (With that said, I have only the video to go on. Up until this point, I _gleaned_ that he was one of the most powerful, but in all actuality, all I knew was I thought he just looked like an old Knight (the armour, white beard, etc) and looked very stereotypical. So, you have to read this from my perspective.)
So, the whole "ruling over nothing" thing is actually a straight up untrue thing. Tenebrae was going to absorb the galaxy, yes - but his plan was that after doing so, he'd simply move on to a different galaxy, whereupon he'd do his thing there. His thought process was to just keep going, from galaxy to galaxy, until the heat death of the universe, where he'd go into torpor until a new universe was born, where he'd start the process all over again.
@@ASNS117Zero Hi, Zero. I getcha, now. I guess i totally misundrstood. What are your thoughts on Tenebrae? His power and his plan. I'm interested in your thoughts because even though I read _Plageueis_ I never really got a feel for him! Thanks for the clarification. I really appreciate when someone corrects me when I'm wrong.
I hope you have a swell type day! :)
I misheard when you first said his name and thought you called him Darth Idiot, I laughed so hard.
I’d be really interested to hear what your thoughts are about Yoda matching and then overpowering Darth Sidious force lighting during their duel in the revenge of the Sith. And if he truly matches the might of Darth Sidious.
He did
He battled the dark side of himself yoda knew light and dark side powers from my understanding
@@Edwinstewart88 he knew of them yes but only mastered the lightside abilities
I always look forward to your videos man, Vitiate especially!
Palpatine: I am evil incarnate.
Vitiate: Hold my blue milk bish!!!
Can you do a video comparing both valkorian and abalorth
Can't tell who is more evil: Sidious or Vitiate.
Vitiate killed when necessary, but he does admit he has cared legitimately for living beings at times. He is evil at the end of the day, but he believed it necessary. I mean, evil is evil no doubt, but he had glimpses of humanity in the darkness.
Sidious enjoyed torturing people. He liked killing them. He tears people's souls out of their bodies just to put them into clones and show what was left behind. He was practical, but unnecessarily malicious. He was described by extraordinarily powerful beings as just a black hole in the force itself. Living nothingness.
My only big criticism against the old EU is that somehow they allowed Valkorian to become such a powerhouse that it retcons itself in such a way that Palpatine isn’t the most powerful Sith Lord anymore.
Well sidious is in terms of political control and military strength
George Lucas said sidious was the greatest sith because he gained control of the republic to turn it into an empire and Nearly destroyed the entire Jedi order
No force powers siduous has can destroy planets or mind control otherwise it contradict and mess up the story
It makes more sense palptine was the most successful sith and gained the most control of the galaxy with. I opposition
Which is why people saying he is perhaps the most powerful that way still holds true
Just not with the force
After watching this it’s hard to say he’s not the sith’ari like I thought palpatine was evil cuz of things he did to Vader and everyone else but this definitely takes the cake
If Im not mistaken he was also hand picked and given his title by Marka Ragnos?
@@tandavawalsh0777You're right. He's also the one to suggest that he go into hiding to avoid the eventual power struggle after his death.
Personally I think Sidious is more evil but Vitiate is far more terrifying
Sidious wants to become a god and rule over everyone and make everyone know he’s their emperor
While Vitiate wanted to consume the entire universe
While this makes it seem like Vitiate is more evil it doesn’t his goal is far more terrifying though
The reason I think Sidious is more evil is because Vitiate actually fell in love with Senya he obviously treated his kids horribly but he actually did fall in love that would never happen with Sidious who cares about nothing and no one
I guess it depends on what you think is more evil a sadistic evil monster or a cold emotionless monster I think the sadistic one is more evil but I would find the emotionless one much more terrifying
Well said
Agreed. To a degree vitiate cared for people. Palpatine cared for no one. Palpatine was more of a psychopath
Yes i love legends way more ty
Finally you made video about this
Palpatine probably would've become a god if he had valkorions sith knowledge, but valkorion never documented anything he learned.
Actually he did in hes vault however it was destroyed by vaylins power
@@swtorbro5974 oh shit that's right! He also had the holocron that held his fathers spirit right?
Exar kun had far more knowledged than vitiate since he possessed the dark holocrom which was the most powerful sith lord holocrom in history and had over 100,000 years of sith magic archemy rituals lightsaber skills ect exar kun learned everything from it also he had scrolls 📜 from the jedi library in ossuss
Palpatine would of had similar if not more knowledge through kun and bane who he knew a lot about
The Old Republic was just filled with Powerhouses. Satale Shan, Revan, Arcann, Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion, Darth Malgus, Meetra Surik, and many others. Makes you feel that the Republic, CIS, Rebels, and the Empire didn't have a lot going for them.
When your plan is to destroy the universe itself, that's beyond everything.
And this is wher things gets a bit crasy..... how can Palpatine even be compered to people like Valkorion, and even more so still be called "the most powerful sith"??
Valkorion is to me how a tur emperror of the sith should be
Read legends, Sidious years later made black holes, well stuff as powerful as black holes.
Realistically palps is no where near valkorion. Even luke wasn’t doing shit like him. He’s constantly being described as a force god tho palps has similar ones he’s often described just as an avatar of it. The funny thing is that valkorion never had all of his power in one vessel. He always had his power distributed into multiple things like the ritual and his 1000+ children. In EoO it’s when we really see how powerful he is. He one shots 7 of the most power Jedi and sith ever and then it takes all of them + everyone he had ever hurt in anyway + the will of the force just to get rid of him.
Lucas said that Palps is the greatest Sith ever when people like Vitiate were not created yet. Also I doubt that Lucas took the EU into consideration.
@@bonk5943 greatest≠most powerful. Palps destroyed the Jedi basically which was something that vitiate didn’t do even if it wasn’t really his goal. GL statements I believe can be considered timeless and aren’t subject to post GL statements even if he didn’t have them in consideration
@@dinglebob551 Palpatine didn't destroy the Jedi, they are still around. It just doesn't make sense for me to call him the strongest due to one old quote that was made when Sith of Old with better feats than Palps were not a thing yet.
There have really only been 2 characters in the entire Star Wars universe that can be described as having been born evil- they were never corrupted and never fell, because they were already in the top tier of evilocity from the get-go: Tenebrae and Sidious
This is an incredible story. Is there a novel chronicling these events?
There is.
Star Wars The Old Republic: Revan covers a little bit of the story.
Most of it comes from the encyclopedia for The Old Republic MMO.
Plot twist: Palpatine IS Vitiate, but slightly more based. Rise of Skywalker implied as much 👀
Comics and books implied this 25 years before Rise.
@@MrDeedsly No one wants to read Dark Empire
@@KryptonianChaos1 Because Dark Empire is bad.
@@MrDeedsly Vitiate didn't exist 25 years ago lol.
@@ASNS117Zero It's not the worst, but not the best. That sums up most of Legends.
How did he go from pure blood (red with face tentacles) with to human looking emperor with human children???
He took bodies as hes vessels
He had multiple vessels. It went Tenebrae, Vitiate and Valkorian. He also had inhabited other bodies using them as voices and completely controlled/puppeted the Jedi strike team on Ziost. Whatever character you made to confront Valk in KOTET and KOTFE, Valk would attempt to takeover that body as his new vessel.
@@CMJensen97 oh I get it! Thank you very much!
When you are so evil, the Sith literally rebel against you
It's cool to hear about characters I don't know a lot about.
You know he's bad when even the other Sith Lords find him and his actions completely unforgivable.
100 % agree, considering he had 2 empries at the same time. and accomplished imortalitiy many many many times over when sideous barely did it
Because he is the true Sith Emperor and was way more powerful than any Sith to come after.
He created a paradise, and we're supposed to be the good guys for destroying it? 😆
Scourge lost hes emotions after gaining immortality
I feel like Vitiate is more self-centred than Sidious. Palpatine was first and foremost Sith Lord and an avatar of the dark side. Tenebrae was a power hungry dude, who only used sith for his own means, while Sidious was always representing sith and eventually became The Sith.
Darth Sidious probably thought himself the Antichrist where as Valkorian most likely was😂
Imagine if Aniakn was born the same way
I wonder how Valkorion would have faired against Abeloth!
hed lose without Luke since Abeloth require both the light and dark side to defeat her
@@abstraction6212 he has knowledge of both light and dark, he even implies on that during the story. Thats why he said both the light and the dark are not enough to defeat him.
even Palpatine would kneel to the man
Sidious said that he didn’t want to rule over a galaxy of the dead but vitiate wanted to destroy all life in the galaxy through a ritual so he could rule for eternity
Vader: *Murders high-ranking Imperial Officers*
Sideous: You need to calm down...
How bad is it when Sideous has to tell you to stop killing people, that you are going overboard?
He's also more powerful
Not true unless you’re talking about canon palpatine. EU palpatine was the strongest sith ever.
@@panafricanmarxist7632no lol palps isn’t stronger
@panafricanmarxist7632 I disagree but legends palp is definitely top 3

Ziost was the home world of my Sith Marauder and she took it hard watching the planet she was born in be destroyed that moment she vowed revenge against Vitiate 8:00
Palpy is more powerful - because he has the RIZZ Vitiate could only dream of.
I'd like a feature length film on this by Dave Filoni.
Hes not evil, he wants to live all aspects of life. Warlord, Janitor, Devil, God and evrything in between.
Woulda been dope of the sequal movies focus on this guy.
Maybe ill have to do it
Comparing Valkorion and Palpatine is like comparing Richard Nixon and Sauron.
The video never mentioned if Vitiate ever needed to use a lightsaber or if he ever did. Or was he just a mastermind with the force and literally embodying the idea of Palpetine that Sith don’t need lightsabers
In the game, no, Vitiate never used a lightsaber, he'd just block them with a wave of his hand and could crush and enslave the minds of even Jedi Masters with a glance. If he needed to resort to direct violence, he'd let loose with Force Lightning in ways Palpatine could only dream of, create illusions of himself and suck the life and Force from entire planets.
Something important to remember too is that he did all of this through puppets whose essence he'd hollowed out and inhabited. The Vitiate most in the Sith Empire encountered was just a host, as was Valkorian, a great warrior from the world of Zakul he hollowed out. The Emperor jumped between bodies as he desired while scheming his ascension to godhood.
What finally did him in was the PC hero of SWTOR (canonically the Jedi Knight) and Valkorian's family destroying his spirit while Kira and Scourge (allies of the Jedi Knight, and the latter the former Emperor's Wrath) tracked down and destroyed his original physical body (all his other vessels having been destroyed) so he'd have nowhere to escape to.
Even then, The Emperor left behind a ritual that would reconstitute himself from the memories of others that was only stopped by the PC hero, Kira, Scourge, Satele Shan (Revan's descendant), and the ghost of damned near everyone the Emperor had ever murdered coming back and destroying the nearly reformed entity forever.
@@ChristopherJohnson-np4dv that’s intense. He could hollow out peoples minds. That mind enslave sure was useful for him
Love this guy. True POWER
His lack of the force made him a true hero of those who favor death.
I heard he once kicked a blind puppy.
And laughed as it fell down the stairs.
And here I was thinkin that Sidious was a Dark Side incarnate.
Rey was born from a Dark Lord: Darth Sidius.
If we could consider Sidious as Space Hitler, then Vitiate could only be described as the sci-fi equivalent of the Devil himself.
i think he more closely embodies what the sith should be even more so than sidious
thats the ultimate trap of the sith. if you have any morals what so ever you will never break your chains.
I mean he literally united the SITH AND THE JEDI against him so he was something TRULY SPECIAL.
Vitiate wasn't the most evil. Just the most powerful even without Valkorion, and with Exegol.
Vitiate was set up to be a challenge that was supposed to be able to beat Revan so badly you needed new characters to send after him.
Revan was the most evil and its nowhere near close because Revan is pure unfiltered RPG petty. Revan will smash pots and walk out even if he knows there are no rupees in them and unlike Kylo Ren he 100% could be a better person but in total and complete self control over the entire Force chooses the Streets side instead.
Yes revan and the jedi are pure evil, valkorion and zakuul and the sith are the true heros
