I am as excited about the Sierras as you are! We travel full-time in our Airstream and we have been to Lone Pine and Alabama Hills so many times…the thought of hiking up near Mt. Whitney is daunting! Can’t wait to see that part of your adventure!

Hey Jason, you guys are having W-A-Y too much fun out there! Cannot wait to see you tackle the Sierras.
My son and his group just rolled into that campground at mile 677.3 on Friday May 31st. Looks like you are a week ahead of him since your vids are "behind" where you actually are. Thanks for letting me see what he sees since he's not vlogging in real time. Also appreciate the "snow report" - it's comforting knowing he'll also get the advantage of ideal conditions when he gets to the snow covered areas.
Please let him know that the passes should NOT be traveled during the afternoon. We went over the passes around 6am and have been very safe with just microspikes and ice axe. There have been several evacs due to people going over passes in the afternoon.

I'm guessing it was a volcanic eruption, then mud flow from the next eruption then another layer of lava flow.

Awesome video … from experience I can tell ya there’s nothing better than a cold beer on trail from a random stranger 😂 oh and nothing worse than a Whippoorwill calling out from a nearby tree for hours on end during the night (also from experience 😂) looks like your doing really well and 20 miles a day is a great speed to embrace the majesty of the trail …. Cute little guy at the end of your video. I’m sure you treasure every moment you have phone contact with home. Personally I’m picking up and enjoying the background sounds in your videos. Birds, insects, the wind…Never occurred to me that they weren’t present. These days I don’t get out much so I notice those things. 👍❤

😂 bird songs.....we camped in catalina in Tuson....a desert and the birds singing was just crazy. There were more birds singing than where I live....in WI.

So one person thinks you are not enjoying the scenery. It's your trip to enjoy how you deem so obviously, just keep to your scheduled itinerary. You will adjust accordingly as there will be unplanned changes along the path north.

Wow, a big day, first you talk about 20 mile days then you just add 50%! Nice views also, I feel that the colours that appear in your vids are a fair representation of reality: a bleached-out, baked landscape, seen through a fierce haze of sunlight.

Can you explain about the water situation? Are the caches always stocked? It seems scary to be dependent on that. Also what type of shirt are you wearing since it is long sleeve with a hood and so hot? I check your new video out everyday and followed you daily on the AT!
They are usually stocked but can't be relied on.
The shirt is an REI Sahara and it's been really good for the heat and cold.
What’s Big Foot’s story? Where he’s from, why did he decide to hike the trail? He seems great!

Re: the birds comment... Q-anon has made it emphatically clear that wind turbines kill birds indiscriminately. I keep waiting for hikers in the Tehachapi area to show videos of dead birds strewn on the ground all around the turbines to no avail.
Why are you not looking forward to upping your calories? (Pardon my ignorance!) Do you plan on hiking the entire trail (barring injuries) with Bigfoot? You seem to be, but are you both of like minds/pace?
Due to the weight. And so far so good on Bigfoot.
