My brain is like stupid in the day but at night it goes crazy. These random thoughts pop in, I start thinking about a tv show, I keep wondering why I can’t sleep, etc.
When your occupied your engaged so don't allow random thoughts. When idle the randoms come like an avalanche as not occupied. Thinking is not doing. The more thinking the less doing.
I'm stressed out about not having enough sleep making me worry that I haven't had a deep and full sleep in so long....damn it's honestly so frustrating, but still my brain isn't at all tired and works just fine, or even better than before 'not sleeping period'. The problen is I want the confortable feeling of warmth and cozy when sleeping back. I just......NEED SLEEP. Can't even yawn omg what is wrong with me??? I'm not tired or sleepy but I feel like there's something missing ugh sleep sleep sleep sleep oh my god
I have ADHD and sometimes it isn’t necessarily stress that keeps my mind racing. Sometimes my insomnia is just the most endless random thoughts. It’ll be on one topic like planting trees but then quickly drifts off into another topic that’s contextually different and it just keeps going till the early hours of the morning. Sometimes playing a sleep hypnosis video helps me.
My thoughts before bed are so weird, either I make up a conversation with myself or I just think of random weird things. Like the other night I was thinking of how much pain flies must go through their short life's at 3am....
Honestly I get anxious if I sleep very late like bro I get anxiety like Rn it’s 1:10am and I’m here thinking “ I’m never going to sleep” “ How do I even sleep?” “how do I sleep without hearing sounds in my head”
Try to make sleep schedule and don't mess it up, and try to stop overthinking or hallucinating about stuff, I know it feels good when you think about stuff that you like but that's not good if you overthink about it, be greatful for what you are, and don't overthink stuff that are unnecessary, trust me just let it go and try your best to sleep, not hallucinating. I enjoyed this video. Something that worked for me is to write down anything on my mind before going to bed, and spending 15 minutes sitting in peace and quiet-no TV, no radio, no phone, just peace and quiet. This seems to be a variation on what you labelled mindfulness meditation.
I just want some Deep sleep. You know the feeling that you wake up like you didn't sleep at all? I want to atleast turn off my mind for a while but dont know how because thoughts are running on my mind all day especially during bedtime which doesn't allow me to sleep smoothly. I’m watching this bc I can usually sleep very well and fall asleep fast. But since my skateboard has been stolen and I was really happy to got to that one private contest my stress really has been going crazy. I was finally having my own time since school had me busy and I couldn’t skate cause bc an injury and now that was taken from me too.
I keep thinking about unrealistic consequences of my tasks. Like what if I do not pass my entrance, I will be a jobless, my family will scold me, I'll be ashamed in front of my friends etc!
What actually happens I go to bed like 11 and I keep changing positions and some times I think I took naps in between like I don't know anything about 12 to 3 and then suddenly I see that I am still not sleeping and I wake up thinking unnecessarily. And after that I sleep my myself and wakes up in the morning feeling tired.
I'm struggling to get that deep sleep everyone craves, I fall asleep okay nowadays after battling insomnia for years, BUT throughout the ENTIRE sleep, my mind wanders, I know I am thinking about whatever random thing is attacking my brain, and I am aware that I am sleeping WHILE having these thoughts, it's like I am awake battling insomnia all over again, ONLY I AM NOT AWAKE WTF??? This ever happen to anyone?

Me, overthinking at night + A random song playing in my head Me,thinking that I am overthinking + The song continues Me,overthinking overthinking + a random song plays on my head + Random scenario flowing in my head with really weird thinks like, Pineapple on pizza, whay if I have my legs replace hands and my face replaces my butt. I don't know why my mind don't let me sleep I goes to sleep at 11 pm But I actually sleep at almost 2 am I have also stop using my phone at night but my mind can think for 2-3 hrs and don't let me sleep. I think of some weirdest things like I am a famous singer singing Infront of thousands of people and many more weird stuffs 😂 what to do I am literally pissed off 🥺 my brother who sleeps just beside me he fall asleep within 10 mins and I just think of stupid things and see whole night how my brother is sleeping 😑 please anyone help 🙏😭
I laughed when the same thing actually happens to me ..I thinks of having arguments with people who don’t even exists sometimes I get angry when they win an argument and it stops me from sleeping it takes me hours because it stresses me or sometimes I think of being an adult with kids and arguing with my kids about some weird stuff I’ve been trying to sleep since 11pm and now its 3am oh God
I can take good naps for hours in the morning but then I can’t sleep but I took naps because I was tired that I couldn’t sleep the night prior. And I’m so sleepy like droopy eyes etc but my brain won’t stop. It’s exhausting because now I’m even stressed about the fact I can’t sleep so it’s an extra thought in my brain racing just thinking about how terrible I’m going to feel the next day.
When I lie on bed for sleep...my mind start tracking the sleep...I start thinking some positive thoughts and about to fall asleep but in between there comes in mind..oh I was about to sleep...again and again this happens
it feels like I cannot control my mind at all, when I start thinking about something, my mind just takes over and continues to think about that one topic even when I try to change it or stop it.
this is my routine: I imagine walking barefoot up grass-covered stairs and count to one hundred. Then as I feet my eyes become heavy, I move to pretending I’m digging and each dig makes my mind smaller and smaller. I then pretend I’m floating through space, and I then fall into a deep and fast sleep!
I did the exact same thing..but my mind is just awesome- from grass my mind went to bear Grylls videos thn what if i lost in grasslands Thn change my thought process to space my mind- what if there is a same planet like earth in other galaxy what will happen if earth blasts Poor me😭
it's really hard for me to sleep...there are just so many things I do throughout the day and then at night I thought I'll be tired and sleep but I think sm that I just cant-

If you cant sleep. do something that doesn't require focus but is still distracting enough to allow you not to think about sleeping. e.g. listening to slow wordless/vocaless music. Hence why they say count sheep, doesn't require intense focus but distracts enough to not allow you to think about sleeping. empty your head.
Half the time it's so bad that my thoughts just drown out the sound of the music, and they aren't even always stressful. Like, my brain doesn't even comprehend that music is playing at all. A lot of times an auditory hallucination like someone whispering in my ear, calling my name from the other room, speaking close to my ear, etc. startles me and snaps me out of it and I can suddenly hear the music again. Then the cycle just starts over.

I used to just smoke weed. But being on probation. I cant. So for the last 3 years I have barely slept. Maybe 2 hours a night. Until I get soo tired I sleep most of my Saturdays and sundays away. Catching up on rest.
My eyes are closed. But my brain can't stop thinking. I even imagine things that never exist. One day my sister said that I was talking while I was asleep so I was in shock that time because I didn't even feel like I have a sleep because I thought I'm still up cuz my mind still thinking
These people who tell you how bad it is to not sleep just make it worse. None of their tips work. I’ve tried them all. The secret is to disregard their attempt at making you feel bad about it. I’ve been an insomniac my whole life and I do just fine with little to no sleep.
I don't know if I am the only one but whenever I'm about to sleep I'm asking myself: What actually happens when I fall asleep? "Like when am I gonna sleep?" "Like you forget how you slept and then wake up like you time traveling 10 hours asking yourself how does that work?"
@Fam Mate Me too I cant sleep .. I always ask myself why me!! I wish people dont go to sleep😭😭... My Anxiety is Back fck.. My only advice to you is just think something that what makes u happy. I havent slept in 3 days straight the past week and went to the doctor and prescribed me Pregabalin, a medicine used to limit the signals being sent to the brain in order to also fall asleep better. I've stopped the medication for its only for a week and now I'm back to not falling a asleep. It's very frustrating since I have work in the morning and I don't want to be drug dependent. :( It sucks since I exercised and have a healthy sleeping pattern when taking the medicine and now I'm suddenly back to square one. :(

Some folks cant exercise. They work and when they get off work. They are soo tired they cant ...because they dont get the sleep they need to start with.
Damn nearly every night my mind is thinking about something negative. I wouldn’t say It’s dreaming because there isn’t any images , just my mind talking to itself. when I wake up I’ll start realizing what my mind is thinking about usually something sad. And I’ll become sad…Or I’ll know I was thinking about something negative because I’ll wake up in a panic or I’ll wake up Sad. Whatever going on up there I’m not included I just catch the end of the conversation lol. 😅😭
What if you don't have 20-30 mins spare time?? Any meditation I do just cuts into sleeping time. I exercise every day, eat well, etc. I've tried listening to all types of peaceful music. No matter what I try, I'm constantly awake and thinking about random things when I'm trying to sleep. It's really affecting my grades and focus. Can anyone help me?
Yeah I’m trying to use this video to get my mind off the urge to start smoking. I must win this battle. Nobody can pierce my brain through the day (I don’t ever have an urge to start) but at night I can’t get it out.
I experienced 5 days zero sleep. I consulted a doctor and gave me a drug. It helped me sleep but I am trying now to sleep without this drug. What makes me not to sleep is I am constantly thinking if I will be able to sleep this night etc., and I am starting to monitor myself which resulted not to be able to sleep. How are you?

this is my routine: I imagine walking barefoot up grass-covered stairs and count to one hundred. Then as I feet my eyes become heavy, I move to pretending I’m digging and each dig makes my mind smaller and smaller. I then pretend I’m floating through space, and I then fall into a deep and fast sleep!

it's really hard for me to sleep...there are just so many things I do throughout the day and then at night I thought I'll be tired and sleep but I think sm that I just cant-
I wake up randomly at 1 am or 3 am and my mind feels like the super energy source, i can't make my mind feel sleepy and most random shit going on in my mind in which i say stories to me argue me explain me think about weirdest thing and this thing goes on until its not morning, still my mind feel super energetic but body feels so bad like dark circles swollen face it sucks man.
Just every night my mind is waking me up into random thoughts., It's so focused like, it's fully submerged..
I can't go back to sleep cos of that.
Hope for it to stop...
Some time my heart just start racing when I lie down to sleep.

The time when I go to sleep the negative scenario happened to me comes to mind... the scenario , the fights and about ex... always the worst things happened to me came in mind and it make me sleepless

If you cant sleep. do something that doesn't require focus but is still distracting enough to allow you not to think about sleeping. e.g. listening to slow wordless/vocaless music. Hence why they say count sheep, doesn't require intense focus but distracts enough to not allow you to think about sleeping.

Half the time it's so bad that my thoughts just drown out the sound of the music, and they aren't even always stressful. Like, my brain doesn't even comprehend that music is playing at all. A lot of times an auditory hallucination like someone whispering in my ear, calling my name from the other room, speaking close to my ear, etc. startles me and snaps me out of it and I can suddenly hear the music again. Then the cycle just starts over.

I used to just smoke weed. But being on probation. I cant. So for the last 3 years I have barely slept. Maybe 2 hours a night. Until I get soo tired I sleep most of my Saturdays and sundays away. Catching up on rest.

What ended up happening
My eyes are closed. But my brain can't stop thinking. I even imagine things that never exist. One day my sister said that I was talking while I was asleep so I was in shock that time because I didn't even feel like I have a sleep because I thought I'm still up cuz my mind still thinking
These people who tell you how bad it is to not sleep just make it worse. None of their tips work. I’ve tried them all. The secret is to disregard their attempt at making you feel bad about it. I’ve been an insomniac my whole life and I do just fine with little to no sleep.

I was so stressed for school I ended up sleeping for 3 and a half hours last year. Hoping to never do that again.
I don't know if I am the only one but whenever I'm about to sleep I'm asking myself: What actually happens when I fall asleep? "Like when am I gonna sleep?" "Like you forget how you slept and then wake up like you time traveling 10 hours asking yourself how does that work?"

I havent slept in 3 days straight the past week and went to the doctor and prescribed me Pregabalin, a medicine used to limit the signals being sent to the brain in order to also fall asleep better. I've stopped the medication for its only for a week and now I'm back to not falling a asleep. It's very frustrating since I have work in the morning and I don't want to be drug dependent. :( It sucks since I exercised and have a healthy sleeping pattern when taking the medicine and now I'm suddenly back to square one. :(

@@superoli5308when laying down count back from 300 in 3 number difference. It stops your thinking about other things and your will focus on the counting and you will fall asleep because it is very voring

I wouldn’t say It’s dreaming because there isn’t any images , just my mind talking to itself. when I wake up I’ll start realizing what my mind is thinking about usually something sad. And I’ll become sad…Or I’ll know I was thinking about something negative because I’ll wake up in a panic or I’ll wake up Sad. Whatever going on up there I’m not included I just catch the end of the conversation lol.

I experienced 5 days zero sleep. I consulted a doctor and gave me a drug. It helped me sleep but I am trying now to sleep without this drug. @@superoli5308 i really don't know how i do it actually but mostly don't try to focus on sleeping or time just lay there and I don't know how to describe it actually i usually my head starts to make a story on his own and i stop it right away because you will get carried away and the least you know it's 7 in the morning and a tip i experience open your eye frequently if you can't sleep for some reason i sleep doing it and try to take a deep breath it will help you get sleepyer i guess so yes ✨✨
