Side note, this kid was looking at you like you’re the coolest thing that ever existed. Too cute. Thanks this video was super helpful
I just started taking my seats out for my build, you are so funny and helpful but funny, which is helpful 🤣
I was wondering how the deadbolt setup would work, thanks for the video, gives me a good option.
Those doors still look really wobbly when locked.. have you improved the system?
I think I am going to try to do this style lock on all three of my doors
Exactly what I was looking to learn about, thanks!
Great demo on putting in the new lock! It looks great! I really liked the handle, too. It's true what they say that nothing will keep out a determined thief. Or, as someone once said to me, "A good lock won't keep out a thief, but it will keep an honest man honest."
I don't understand, though, why you took out the bolt on the bottom that locked into the floor. It didn't seem to interfere with the new lock, and it would only add to the door's resistance to an attempted forced entry. Seems counter-intuitive to me to remove it. But then, I may need more locks on my door to feel secure than you folks do. 😊
Good point 🤔
Looks good!! I did the same thing for my Skoolie!!!
Great idea I think I will have that set up or very similar. Thanks for sharing
That's awesome!
Bravo, keeping people honest.
I think you did a good job, good 💡
Really appreciate you
How did you temove old lock in tear
get some good metal bits for your projects people
looking to tackle this.. one mistake i made on my screen door was i broke the tab on the cylinder when setting the length making it useless, wont do that again
Rear door lock tempval
Crazy ... I installed my lock and the metal screws came off the patch after a few days of using the newly installed lock... this is the third time trying to secure the front door. Who else has had my issue and what did you do ?
Sighs and sighs.. haha.
what does your battery bank power on the daily?
Nothing. We have it disconnected and we're connected to shore power when were at home.
Man, you made this look pretty easy. We can't get ours to line up perfectly so we have to jiggle the door to get it right. It works though. Another problem is we don't have a horizontal strip going in the middle it's ALL glass, so we had to put it along the bottom and it's hard to access it from inside without much contorting. So it was difficult to line it up
Yea we have to jiggle too! Ahhhhh the glass that would be annoying/
Break the glass & deadbolt is rendered useless...
Esther StrategicAdvisor yep 👍🏻
Some people wouldn't go that far.
That's true for any door with a window, and most glass doesn't break as easily as you might think.
you mean like any house that has windows? lol
