Does toilet paper go right into the number two bin?
Yep!
I always assumed the part that catched the solids came out some how making it easier to dump.
No it doesn't... Everything else comes off of it and you just turn it over and shake it out!
Question, how does the top bowl stay clean with no water to flush
There is a little spray bottle with some essential oils and vinegar that you can use to help spray down the pee. And the poo if you aim right, there shouldn't be any clean up :)

We haven't actually started renting it on AirBnb yet. We have had a number of friends stay in it and there have only been a few mishaps where they forgot to empty the pee bucket. I am thinking we'll put a sharpie line on it for when to empty it and also buy a cap for the pee bucket so emptying it isn't so nasty. Other than that the poo doesn't have to get emptied that often if the composting is going well. Also if you have guests stay for a short time like one night, there shouldn't be a need for them to empty it at all!

Sit to pee or find a tree! Offthegridschoolie also sells them through his site. At least you'd be helping him out financing his life rather than Amazon. That makes it sting a little less....maybe???

The t paper should be either deposited into a waste bin and thrown out with the regular trash or use one that is designed for septic systems that biodegrades completely.
Yes! I should have mentioned that we use a special composting toilet paper.!
@@ColaVentures I have had mine for 6 months and I live full time in my trailer. I never put TP in the toilet. I have a trash can next to the toilet and that works fine.
Its $1550 in canada. I get it in afew days. Did it come with the fan included. And ive got a similar compost tumbler too.
Have you (or anyone) used a NH without venting it? If so, how well does it work (ie does it get smelly)? Thanks!
I think that wouldn't be a great idea. the air circulation is a big part of the composting process.

It smells mostly like peat moss unless the pee over flows... then it is a disaster :) but as long as you keep the ratios right poo/peat moss, it smells great! Well... maybe not great but not terrible.

Having used it for a while how do find the height of the seat, it seams to be a bit higher than a regular toilet?
The height would be good for an old lady with knee problem lol
How heavy is it to remove? It looked heavy? I am a female and will be living alone...will I be able to lift to dump? I am pretty strong:).
It isn't too heavy. Depends on how much is in there really! Less than 20 pounds I'm guessing but I've never weighed it.
I have a DOUBT. Do we have to carry the entire toilet out to clean it every time?
Check out the Natures Head website - looks like you can slip a 13 gallon garbage bag over the top and dump it into that without taking the toilet all the way outside.

It depends on how many times you dump
The poo we only dumped a couple times in 3 months but we weren't using it a ton. Just at night. The pee is weekly or more :)
I work with a guy who calls
the ground “the floor” and you call a floor “the ground” 🤔
You can even plumb the pee part directly into the gray water instead of keeping the bucket I think! Nice video!
I thought about that... maybe some day. The pee bucket is annoying.
