Thank you for showing your experiment. Since I don't garden for flowers (yet), I had no idea that hostas were edible. You showed me things here. I agree that cooking, about anything, with garlic and butter is beneficial to the end product. Thank you for telling about Hostas being toxic to dogs and horses. I don't suspect I will grow any here. I like my dog. Thank you again. This is a nice informative video.

I enjoy exploring new things to eat. I think the hostas would be a safe plant in the garden unless your dog is very curious and likes to munch on things. Chester, my dog , isn’t interested in plants so i feel comfortable having them in the garden. Thank you for watching. Ps. The hostas don’t seem to bother the rabbits, I think that’s what’s eating my hostas!Ha ha

I wondered if it was worth the effort, I had heard the shoots were edible. Thanks for sharing this. I do regularly add broad leaf plantain and dandelions to stir fries, soups, casseroles, and wish I'd get into the habit of drinking pine needle tea. I read that it has way more vitamin C than OJ. I do like it, it tastes a bit like citrus.

Hi there. I know what you mean, it did satisfy my curiosity on their taste. Those ingredients sound interesting , I’ve never tried pine needle tea. I am interested in trying pine cone jelly. So much to learn and experience with. Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support.

Hi there. Yes, as far as I know , hostas are edible. I’m certain some taste better than others. They really do have an asparagus flavour. Thanks for watching.

My hostas are too valuable to be eaten. They provide green colour in my garden.
