The Ready or Not Handgun Tier List
Вставка

- There are a number of sidearms to choose from in Ready or Not. Ranging from old and reliable to new and innovative, each one has different characteristics that make them unique. But how effective is each handgun in the game? Based on their ballistic performance, accessory compatibility and aesthetics, I'll be ranking each one in a tier list from F to S tier.

Best part of the 5.7 is not having to pay for the ammo
I’m hoping the ammo gets cheaper now that S&W has their own 5.7
And it has a buff against poor people
@@guid8735 no I was talking about irl, 5.7 ammo prices are high
@@KE8NUFoh lol I got very confused I would love to own a five-seven in real life just prob won’t be able to shoot it too often lol
Truly the most unrealistic part of Ready or Not
Full Swat '99 set, no helmet, no armor, a pair of sunglasses (even at night, no questions) and no fancy high tech gear. Just you, your impeccable aim, and your trusty Python.
Best looking kit ingame
Helmets and Armor did exist dummy. Just pick Kevlar in light armor (no steel, maybe ceramic but optional), pick a helmet and vest that looks closest to the PASGT armor
@@OperatorMax1993 If you heard something flying over your head, don't worry, it wasn't somebody opening fire on you, it was only the joke.
jesus christ, it's jason bourne
@@OperatorMax1993 bruh, there is a PASGT helmet and armor in the game 😂

Not as bad as nothing, but pretty closw

@@andrewattleson6834 Kimber is a small step up from HiPoint.
@@immikeurnot A huge step down in reliability, however.
If there was any doubt about you being a gun guy in real life that cleared it up right there. 😂 Epic.
Pistol choice seems entirely dependent on if you have a shield or not, imo.
If you do have a shield, the Five-Seven is probably the best choice so you don't get screwed over by body armor, the other pistols just don't have the AP capabilities needed.
If you don't have a shield, you can run pretty much anything because unless you're mag dumping everything that moves you wont run out of primary ammo. However, as noted in the video, running the big iron gives you bonus style points.
theres a whole ass achievement running the revolver on rust belt
@livingreverie5951 what no way
@@livingreverie5951Revolver best handgun in the game imo
@@frostburn9104It may not have a lot of ammo, and a lot of recoil....
But after a single shot, those mfs going down
I sometimes just use my pistol because, well I just want to sometimes.
One thing about the fiveseven that wasnt mentioned was that it has extremely low recoil compared to all other handguns in the game. If you go to the range and spam it at a target without trying to compensate for expected recoil you will see.
I noticed that it felt like it had lower recoil which made me decide it was the best piatol
Yeah I tested that yesterday and was really surprised lol. USP45 kicks like a mule in comparison. This also means a slower re-centering speed so if you use an optic you will lose the dot after the first shot and it will come back way slower than with the fiveseven.
@@Saurygielyes but the .45 drops most suspects with 1 shot to the chest. The 57 takes multiple shots.
@@timtam5874 *Unarmored suspects.
If they have a vest, .45 isn't so great.
@@timtam5874 So i just tested against the gas station crackheads. Against unarmoured suspects, USP45 needs 2 shots to the body and fiveseven needs 3 shots to the body. USP45 has more power but more recoil and lower capacity. Fiveseven has less power but very low recoil and high capacity. Id argue as a backup its better to be able to put more rounds down while still being quite accurate especially if youre getting shot and panicking. You could make an argument for either side really, it comes down to personal preference.
Only one correction, you are confusing them USP with the Mk 23 when you discussed it’s development. The USP was originally designed in 40S&W and 9mm and assumed primarily at the US law enforcement market and European military market respectively. The .45 ACP variant came out a few years after the originals, and did borrow a bit developmentally from the Mk. 23.
THANK YOU! Came here to say the same thing.
You are right, I mixed the 2 up.
thx m8
Last night I had a game where I took the Python out for a spin (lol... spin... revolver...) and pied around a corner to find a suspect holding a civilian hostage. Tried ordering him to surrender, he refused. Tried a couple more times. Suspect moves to take the gun off the hostage and point at me instead. Before he can get the shot off I take my shot, get him right in the head, hostage stumbles away yelling. And in my head I just instantly hear:
"Texas Red had not cleared leather 'fore a bullet fairly ripped
And the ranger's aim was deadly with the big iron on his hip"
The masculine urge to draw a revolver from a leather holster and one tap texas red is universal
Big iron on his hip~
There are hostages in this game??? I just bought it
@@WhiteViporYeah, in some missions.
You can not claim Big Iron with a 9mm Double Action .That is Evil .
The colt python is unediebly a S tier, but it's not only about the style. This hand cannon one shots everything and is extremely ammo efficient. It's not forgiving at all but with great aim it's crazy.
The dopamine in my monke brain hits hard when solo clearing a level with only a Colt Python...
Do AP rounds one shot armored suspects?
@@jacobdyingextraordinaire4805Generally , when shooting to the upper chest and neck .

I swear it does more damage than the FAL. It's actually pretty good once you get used to it
I personally primarily use the USP45 with a flashlight or a Glock19 with a muzzlebreak, rmr and flashlight. The USP has less rounds but more firepower, and the glock looks frickin awesome
The five seven has been my side arm of choice since I started playing. Combine it with laser attachment, silencer, and ballistic shield. P90 on semi for near infinite ammo. Face shield and heavy steel armor to be a walking tank. I just start screaming "hands up" as soon as i'm walking through the front door. I want them to know i'm there, ready or not, here I come.
To the Kimber's credit, the team must have done all the hand polishing you normally need to do to make one work. In-game it never jams. Lol

I run shields a ton so i’ve used most of the pistols extensively. If you like a gun because of its looks, that’s cool, but the objectively best picks are either the USP .45 or five-seven.
The USP is more effective, assuming you can hit your shots. It will put down the overwhelming majority of suspects in 3 shots or less. However, the small mag size means you will have to hit your shots or risk completely running out of pistol ammo.
Alternatively, the five-seven will frequently take 4-6 shots to take down suspects in my experience. However, you get a much larger, more forgiving magazine in return.
My preference is to take the five-seven on longer maps where running out of ammo could be a concern (hospital, port, or farm, for example). Then, i take the USP on shorter maps with fewer suspects (college, brisa cove, sullivan’s slope, for example)
My exact thoughts. Was gonna comment basically everything you said here.
(Though I have a soft spot fot the USP so I tend to use it even when I shouldn't)
blah blah blah i didnt read any of that COLT PYTHON ATTACK!
I’m getting a pc for Christmas and I’ve been watching a lot of your videos. They’re so informative and the more I watch your videos the more hyped I’m getting to play it!! Thanks for the awesome content!!
Much appreciated
Been waiting for this one. Thanks bro.
The USP will never not leave my inventory. Even with just a flashlight on it, the aesthetic is clean as fuck.
Patrician taste my guy
Double negative
If VOID coded in the ability of a revolver to top-up with single rounds, instead of dumping out the whole cylinder and using an entire 'magazine' to reload, the .357 would be a lot more useful. I'd love to see the S&W R8 added to the game. Eight rounds of .357 and a light/laser rale would make it very competitive.
loving your RoN vids, love your voice and presentation
This tier list video is hilarious 😂 I loved it.
Great video, keep them coming!
Civilian Use Only is not happy with the Kimber 1911. That's okay, I'll keep carrying that garbage.
you forgot that with revolver you can do trickshots and make cool clips especially if you are wearing sunglasses in the middle of the night.
Always used the M11 in this game, and that is my pick for..like ever. Never let me down in the game, and with my time in RCAF cadets, guns like that never let me down either. Must be a sign :)
Really wish they would buff the revolvers damage at least a little. Sometimes it feels like I just have a little derringer with six shots.
I love the 57, the stopping power isn't the best, but I still love it. It's to the point that it upsets me that the Bolton Security guards in-game have access to it.

You really can "shoot what you can't see". Just ask the unlucky hostage on the other side of that plaster board wall. 😁
I use pistols as a spare tool in the game. If I bring a longer rifle I use a pistol to clear tight spaces. If im using a ir laser on my primary I will have a flaslight on my pistol. I prefer the 5 7 because its good for any situation
Very valid use case
@@civilianuseonly i also do this. I run the glock and the m11. i have a mod for the m11 that turns it into the p320 and i absolutely love it.
I had a coughing fit laughing at the Kimber
It got what it deserved
The 5.7 is so good on RoN that i usually carry it in conjunction with the SA-58. The sheer force of the 7.62x51 with the versatility of the 5.7x28 makes every map looks like a walk in the park.
Just hope you don’t hit any civilians three houses over lol
Do you choose AP bullets for both? I'm a newbie
@@ahji-b it depends on the map. For the SA-58 I usually run JHP, but I like to run AP in some harder maps (like Port Hokan). For 5.7 I always run AP.
Cant wait for the primary's tier list!
8:01 This is my favorite side arm in Ready or Not (USP45) because of the size of the caliber and because you can mount an IR laser on it. (I love NVGs). It's always very reliable.
I love pretending as solid snake snake with the usp lol
Playing in SEK gear (German police Special ops squads) I use either the Glock or USP. For primary I go with the G36K and HK416 or SIGs ARs. Good video highlighting the strong points and weaknesses of them.
The "equivalent" of the Colt Python (MR73) was used for a really long time as a special use or secondary weapon in the GIGN (french intervention and hostage rescue unit). Sometimes still used as a third gun and the first urban sniper of the GIGN
Nice, I always run the FN5.7. Do a tier list for rifles
I always move back and forward between the M11 and the five seven... Both are very cool 😎
I like the TLE 1911. It's 7 .45 cal rounds and I have never had an issue with people not falling for there last time with it
The custom supporter glock is where its at
I'm a big fan of the Beretta 92FS in real life, having many thousands of rounds through mine. So I tend to run it as my in-game sidearm.
my preferred sidearm is the USP for the coolfactor. and is still somewhat viable because of the 12 rd mag
Yo this Chanel hella under rated

I love the USP45, but if I want style points I use the M45A1 with a silencer and RSO sight.
Colt Python Supremacy .It is the game on Easy Mode .
I've always preferred pistols in tactical shooters and this is also the case in RoN - I only whip out the primary if we are bogged down in longer engagements (usually play co-op with my mates).
I like picking at nits, but for this list, there is not a single thing I disagree with.
i just go with what ever pistol sounds the best
I usually run shield either with the USP or revolver. Gotta run the laser and aim for the head, or have buddies backing you up
9:26 is one of the biggest reasons I always roll up onto site with my sidearm, and it's only once I need the extra firepower that I'll draw my primary
I like that you touch on the IRL guns.
Have you heard of the Manuhrin MR73? Designed to withstand 40,000 rounds of .357 PER YEAR. One has supposedly gone over one million rounds without a single major parts failure.
Funny that in my opinion, 5.7 is the best handgun IRL too. Probably this just shows how accurate and realistic Ready or Not is. It has a high capacity, good accuracy, low recoil.
Will you be doing a tierlist for items too?
Perhaps
Interesting fact. It is used in swat teams fir the French gign. They wanted a revolver for reliability and it's lack of pierce so it can clear rooms safely
The Five-SeveN was really an afterthought handgun to further sweeten NATO to the 5.7 round. It's overpriced, everyone who held one complained about a terrible trigger and the shitty plastic, and it's hard to find, its only positives are the ammo, allowing it to have a certain performance and high magazine capacity, and the fact that it was the only handgun chambered in 5.7 the longest time. The more recent 5.7 Ruger is better in all aspects and Kel-Tec's own proposed 5.7 meets more people's pockets while still having a better trigger.
EDIT: I found out FN has revisited the Five-seven with the MRD a year ago. I don't know much about it but it looks like the MRD came out in response to other companies experimenting with the 5.7 round and to straighten up the issues pointed above.
The Colt had such a big punch, it even hit the like button. xD

In RoN, I switch to my pistol when clearing tight spaces (like toilets) where my main (G36C) will compress.
I hope they add the trr8 in the future, we need a high capacity revolver
The vast majority of my builds run either the Python .357 or the USP Tactical, both in AP loadings.
I wish they had the S&W Model 327 TRR8 in the game, I would love a modern SWAT revolver that has a full bottom and top rail.
I remember playing with 1301/5.7 loadout. That was fun.
Shield Big Iron + laser = sniping across the map from behind the wall. Great success.
When I tried out the 45acp pistols, fun time ends after like 4 seconds. But with the 57, fun time keeps going. I feel like the 45acp should at least get extended mags or something
USP :
45s excel at the peekaboo playstyle. Few days ago cleared hospital with one buddy (he had a 416) and I brought the 1911 as a primary (SA 58 w/ LPVO for deep halls and the walkway). Some kills were single headshots (stairwells, short hallways where I could see their shadow), but if I fired 3-4 rounds and the fight wasn't over, I was either dead or behind cover again. So the capacity never felt short. You do need a ton of slots for magazines so you can always top off though.
I rate this video a solid 5/7.
I personally use the m92fs only because i deployed with it and the sights them selves are amazing
M92FS gets a lot more hate than it deserves

Would like to see some double stack 1911 options in this game, since my own custom build off a Para Ordnance frame holds 15+1 rounds of .45ACP flush fit (in line with the 9mm pistols in this game). An FNX-45 that also holds 15+1 of .45ACP would be cool as well.
Also interesting that all the 9mm pistols top off at 15+1, when 17+1 is largely standard for full size 9mm pistols now. And most cops would use full size guns since they’re open carrying. Ah well, the fact that 15+1 9mm still seems commonplace makes me happy that I have 15+1 .45ACP to work with in my 1911. lol
I think it would be sick if they added a 10mm sidearm like the M&P2.0 10, 15 round mag with stopping power close to 45
M&P 2.0 in 10mm would be sick
Including a Bren Ten or even a Colt Delta Elite
They should really add an old school .38 revolver, more handguns in general, and some cool shit like P226, Walther P99, or a Mk23 SOCOM. More guns in general, plz!!
I kind of only use the guns I actually have IRL. There is a certain feeling to using a gun in game that is only a few feet away from you.
I thought this would be a load of crap when you said you'd rank them partially based on looks, and when you got to the revolver, I realized that I have been playing this game wrong the entire time I've been playing it: sweaty.
Colt Python in S tier? 100% agree, subbed.

The Five Seven is my dream gun! Any game that has it, is my go too side arm.
As a kimber 1911 lover, mostly for the looks and John Wick , the kimber on immediate F tier hurt my feelings :D
although it can't be ignored, they do jam
Which is inexcusable for such an expensive gun built on a 100+ year old design
I never even pull out my pistol
love your sometime biased tier list ! i'am 40 and i totaly agree !
I too enjoy the Five-Seven because I used it in splinter cell.
Honestly, Five Seven ain't the prettiest gun, but the 5.7mm round, big but compact magazines, and integrated rail are all high points for it. Unfortunately, I can only enjoy it in virtual form.
I have a real Beretta 92X Performance and it sure does perform.
Rifles next!
We need the s&w TRR8 revolver
Even though the Kimber one was very real, it still felt oddly personal.
I have some thoughts on pistols viability. I wish they had more stopping power of some kind, the revolver could almost serve this purpose but has too many drawbacks (such as the speedloader requiring you to dump ammo on the ground and poor sights). Pistols are very maneuverable and never get caught on walls, allowing you to take positions you can't even take with an SMG. Not to mention how cool they look in general.
The issue is that every pistol besides the revolver is 9mm or .45 and neither one of them has enough punch to be viable in most scenarios. The .357 has the stopping power but due to the way health and armor works, the results are very inconsistent and unreliable. It's entirely possible to get "robbed" even with a well placed shot. I also feel the lack of stun, lack of bleeding and subject AI currently heavily discourage anything that doesn't drop someone with a high ROF or high damage. If I land three or four 9mm, they might just live and I might just get my head blown off instantly.
With better AI, I could see pistols being a lot more useful in general situations. I'd also like to see a better reload for the magnum that doesn't dump all your ammo on the floor. Maybe a heavier caliber pistol such as a .44 or even a desert eagle if they decided to be a little fun. I know the desert eagle is not a very good gun, but it would be a fun gun to shoot and likely have the stopping power I am missing with other handguns.
Great tier list. However, you forgot to account for the fact that the M45's serial number calls you Darling, making it S tier.
I own a P229 Legion so it only feels right to use it in-game.. even if it's not great compared to something like the five-seven haha
I honestly just like the pistols sometimes because of how nice they feel.
Me and a bud cleared out the mail place (i dont remember mission names) with only the revolver, least armor, no other tools. We called it the 60s cop loadout.
TLDR: Revolver is above S tier
I wish they had non lethal secondary options. Trying to achieve a S grade with AI teammates can be tricky. They seem to resort to switching to a pistol rather than taser.
Your comments on the Kimber prove that you know your stuff. First and only kimber I had, the rear sight fell of during the 2nd mag through it. It fell off the gun...
Classic kimber
Honestly .357 magnum revolver is insane with AP ammo as from my experiance you can 1 thorax shot incapacitate any suspect which makes is godlike along with SA 58 in my opinion. With a ballistic shield and a laser you can also 1 shot suspects while having the ballistic shield.
I never had my Kimber jam on me y'all gotta take care of your guns
Thanks for your anecdotal evidence. Unfortunately Kimber has grown a reputation (that they’re only now trying to shed) for being extremely unreliable. Hopefully sooner rather than later they can get themselves back in good standing
@08:00 USP45 is my offh to go in any mission. Because it's cool and it had alot of stopping power. It's been my favorite pistol ever since CS 1.4.
I actually wanna know, is the TLE 1911 any different from the M45A1 in-game, stats wise?
Nope
Big iron all day, it got me through the hospital map solo. Only pistol that reliably drops people in 1 hit
The only two things I consider are mag size and caliber. Five-Seven wins on both.
