I used to work for Pepperball. For about 2 years, I ran the assembly line for the VKS launchers. They don't shoot much harder than your standard field velocities for a paintball game, which usually sit at about 275fps. We would chronograph them at 325fps, unless it was for a specific contract, like the Japanese lauchers we made to shoot 450fps. But what really hurt was the filler in the projectile itself. It's essentially 90% baby power and the rest is the irritant. Baby powder is not the actual filler, but the inert training projectiles smelled exactly like baby powder when broken. There is CS, pepper, extra strength pepper, shaped rounds with either paint or active agents, glass breakers, and rubber rounds. The yellow shaped marking rounds we would call "death nuggets", because if the rounds were stored for a couple of years, the paint would solidify making essentially a solid shaped projectile. We sold 267 launchers to the US Army CENTCOM that were used in guard towers at Bagram Air Base, and almost every "death nugget" we had. It was a better alternative to firing live ammunition at kids throwing rocks at the guards. All of the shells for each plastic round are rated to break at 187fps. From a direct impact, the powder filler in the rounds would stick to your clothing, and create about a 1 meter cloud around the target you shoot. Convenient for shooting the floor or ceiling inside of a room or hallway to gas out anyone inside. I know from first hand experience that it is NOT fun to breathe that stuff in. We had a colonel from the Columbian army come up to see the facility, shoot some launchers, and test the intensity of our Live X round, which is the extra strength pepper projectile. He put one in a ziploc bag, crushed it, then stuck his face inside the bag to breathe in the dust. His eyes swelled shut, his nose would not stop running, and he had a hard time breathing for the next 3 hours. We ended up selling about 300 launchers and thousands of rounds of the Live X to Columbia in the following months. The launcher itself was derived from the Tiberius T4 paintball launcher, and the magazine is very large so that you can use a 10g Co2 canister inside, and not the 13ci HPA tank inside the stock. The feed portion of the magazine runs down the front and can only hold 15 rounds. The gas regulators and fire control pack had a nipple that would press a valve in the top of the magazine to use Co2. But the launchers I made had a filled nipple, and were restricted to use HPA only. But with a quick change of the nipple and re-chronographing the launcher, you could get it to work with Co2. Where an AR ejection port dust cover would be is a plastic cover plate that when removed, allowed you to use a feed hopper and round projectiles. I remember seeing the engineers working on a hopper that would feed shaped projectiles while I worked there, and they had a functioning example, but it was never produced beyond that. The barrel can be rotated around to the hopper position on the fly, which is also how you remove it to service the barrel nubbins.
Very interesting info, and seems like the clientele was a lot more diverse than just law enforcement. Was there a reason why the Japanese launchers had to be a higher fps?
@@civilianuseonly I never heard any specific reason why the Japanese wanted them to shoot that fast, but it was something they requested upon their order. Some usage advise: Since the pellets do no impact damage, aiming at the head, hand, or foot isn't rewarded. If you can't get a reliable bodyshot, aim at the cover the enemy is using or the ground at the suspect's feett. The pellet's gas cloud isn't as large as the gas grenade's, but its still bigger than you might think, and even briefly lingers in an area. It's big enough to even get suspects who are around a corner, or briefly cover some terrain a suspect is threatening to use. When two seconds or less is all that's needed for a suspect with a potentially concealed weapon to go from "non-compliant" to "active shooter" well most people prefer a retirement pension to a widows pension.
Pepper spray and CS Gas are illegal in war but allowed on protesters.
Song name for the song in the end of the video?
Maybe I am an AI. I keep popping heads w the beanbag shotty (not bragging, siege taught me shot placement is king)
Did anyone else see the terrorist throw his RPD and it fired on its own in the air at 5:24
On the first mission I had used the bean bag shotgun and shot an enemy eight times and it didn't do anything
Unreliable? Yes. But best for S ranks
Is that the hades ost I hear?
Yes sir
@@civilianuseonly a man of taste I see
🤓🤓Actually the beanbag shot gun is a less lethal weapon, not non-lethal as it has the possibility of killing🤓🤓🤓
Well, what's better to fight with a Baton against a The one guy that uses like Katana Then just using a gun on a guy that uses a katane Oh well, if I were to pick a weapon from a Pepper ball launcher. And an AK47. I would pick an ak47 for all around use. Then the pepperball launcher. That 1 is meant for less lethal use. The AK is all man.
The AK is a poor weapon for a professional Army, unit or operator.
@@superflyguy4488 Eastern Europe would like to have a chat with you, especially Russia
@@superflyguy4488 It may be slightly worst than more modern weapons, but it does not make much of a difference at all. They are essentially the same as the AR plateforms in almost every regard, especially the 5.45 AK's.
@@Ananonymousguy-nk9oj Not that I think the AK is a useless weapon, but at the point we are at, I would not claim Russia is a very good model for a professional army. But hey, Ukraine uses them too.
@@MichaelDavis-mk4me incorrect, the whole cyclic system and bolt carrier assembly is completely different, physics interacts entirely differently with the AK family irrespective of the country of origin due to the design and construction.
its realistic.....
I think it worse than die 😂😂😂😂

tac700=S-tier not that hard
I once tried to get S rank on Greased Palms with this garbage gun and it took me 13h. Doing “medal of valor” took me ~30h using only this gun and now i’m doing “the hermit”. I want to kill myself…
I've given up on trying to get that achievement
