@@Regigigas_YT growing replacement flesh on the body is actually the common practice for replacements. A good example: if you get frostbite on your nose and they amputate it, they can regrow one for you on your forehead and just rotate it when it reaches the proper size. I've seen mice with replacement ears (cartilage and all) grown on their backs to replace missing ears (human ears, not mouse ears). In terms of the toe necklace: if it's your body part that was removed legally, you should be able to do whatever tf you want with it. Amputated limbs should be legally considered still a part of the person, but sadly some hospitals won't let you keep amputated limbs.

I'm a surgeon. If the tissue is healthy, i allow them to take their limb home. I just have them sign some papers before leaving. If it's removed for a disease or rotting, then i refuse. I work with the assumption that the patient will store the limb in a freezer, more than likely alongside food. My hospital does offer to cremate the limb and let the patient keep the ashes at the very least

The bones at a flea market make me sad, both because there is NO way anyone could sell an ethically and legally acquired human skeleton, as well as the immediate backlash everyone instinctively have.
A lot of us collect bones. Taxidermists, vulture culture enthusiasts, medical professionals etc. I personally have a complete human skeleton of my own that was bought as a graduation present from my entire family when I finished med school. It cost THOUSANDS though. His name is Yorick and he's a constant reminder to me that we're all the same beneath the skin and every one of my patients deserves 110% from me.
But damn, if that flea market skeleton is real, I'm heartbroken that a human beings remains we're valued at only 30 dollars. Fucked up.

About the arm penis story- growing new body parts via you own body isn't new! This was first tested on mice(ofc) and was deemed successful when these donor mice were able to grow human ears. I don't remember if they were graftable or not, but it happened. Additionally, phalloplasty is a significantly old procedure, younger than vaginoplasty and chest reduction/enhancement but iirc still older than open heart surgery. Phallo was originally created by one Dr. Nikolaj Bogoraz, who reconstructed the penises of injured soldiers. This technique is also what allowed Harold Guillies to perfom phaloplasty and construct a neopenis for Micheal Dillon, the very first trans man to have a penis. Science is wonderful and absolutely insane.

"jolly rancher" story is likely pre-Internet social shaming fiction, but there MAY be an explanation that's far more realistic: blood clots. Yes, when the uterine lining sheds sometimes you get, well, chunks. In fact if you're getting clots larger than the size of a US quarter on the regular it's best to see a medical professional because it can be a symptom of a treatable condition. Anyway, it may explain odor and the subsequent, uh, mouth feel.

I love keeping the compilation playlist running 24/7 - my 'media center' laptop is old AF & doesn't like to come out of sleep mode easily, so it's great how your playlist doesn't do that stupid "do you want to keep watching this video?" popup box (especially since I like to listen as I get ready for bed OR while puttering about the house doing chores, etc & thus am not always actively watching, even though I'm actively listening) & instead just keeps playing. I'd adore even more of these compilations of your older videos, but it's probably annoying to upload such large files to YT; I'll just continue to enjoy the available ones & hopefully will be pleasantly surprised to find a 14th video added to the playlist soon! 😄

@Blue~The~Blonde lotta study. I focus on cultural aspects of human development, artwork, belief systems, communal hierarchy and religious and ceremonial customs. Unfortunately too many of the newcomers to the field are too inspired by Ancient Aliens, alternate "historians" promoting ancient advanced tech, and people wanting to "prove" the bible or other ancient texts to be true. You can go into something nd make an assumption from first blush, but the idea isnt to prove YOUR belief, its to document, observe, test....the scientific method still applies. At the core humanity is the same now as we've ever been. Only technology and our ability to understand the world, therefore how we see the world has progressed

Every tear when something starts to come together only to be something completely different because a change to a more modern word. And its fun. When ive worked with bones and the dead, we would develop vast stories of their lives so they were humanised not just some ancient corpse.

50:45 poor guy was groomed by his own parents. And he sees it as ok. In a lot of cases the abused don’t see it as such. And that’s a sad reality. And it’s even sadder when it’s the persons family. I really hope op will one day realize it’s not ok and their intentions probably wasn’t “helping him”. Hope they can get help. And maybe some therapy. It’s only perceived that he’s not fed up because he doesn’t realize how not ok that is. People who don’t realize the sexual abuse wasn’t ok think that what happened to them wasn’t traumatic and helped them in some way.

I made earrings from a pair of my wisdom teeth. Gonna make a pair of studs from the other two. I also have my dad's lost teeth and plan on making something neat with those. When he dies he wants himself skinned to be donated to a tattoo history museum bc he's an old school tattooist and he has some classic artists collected on his body. One of his ex gfs has dibs on a pinky finger though... And It's requested that I get his heart in formaldehyde. We plan on tattooing my cousin's ashes in a tribute piece next time we get together and have the damn original stencil. Other family members already have that special ink. My husband expects to be cremated and snorted when he goes... Which a friend did with his friend who passed this time last year. Seems a popular tribute... And finally... I either want to donate to the body art process where I'm made into art with a posthumous infusion of resin or, if sign up is full as it has been... Then I will donate to the Body Farm... The forensic education program. One of og program heads was my mom's forensics professor and friend. Seems like a good use.

As someone who worked in the medical field and was a patient and is now an intractable pain patient, just because one has a high tolerance to medications does not mean they're a drug addict.
That is a common, discriminatory and insulting phrase used to shame the patient.
Doctors and nurses have always been ignorant unfortunately because they never receive any training on acute pain or intractable pain.

Those who do this voluntarily appear to be involved primarily with other like-minded people battling various medical maladies (including several autoimmune disorders). I considered it myself .... for about half a second. Helminths are involved in immunotherapy for one or several disorders like mine (Sjogren's Syndrome, fibromyalgia). However, I grew up near a woman who had a tapeworm for years, and the gruesome stories that I heard her parents and the neighbors recounting were just too much.
