This was SO FUN! I loved the format. And Stewart, I think you gave great fashion advice. Goodwill and other thrift stores (in my area Thrifty Shopper and the Salvation Army) use proceeds to provide much needed services to our community. Occasionally, prices seem high for a particular item, but in general, it's still a bargain. Reuse, recycle and repurpose while helping those in need. Win. Win. I like evening times better for UA-cam live. Looking forward to it!!
Hi Linda and Stewart, Love this video. Please consider doing more and turning trash into treasure for our lives……….Love these type of ideas. Recycle Repurpose Reuse should be all our Motto’s for living our best lives. Thank you. Fiona 🦘
I have noticed our Goodwill prices are higher but it doesn’t keep me away. I still think recycling is important. I think about 90% of my clothes are thrifted and I get many compliments on my outfits. Love your thrifting videos,😄👍
Let me just say, I love to thrift/second hand shop, but I rarely go to rummages…I would rather pay that”finders fee”. If I go into a shop and pay a bit more I’m good with it. My goodwill however is not that great whereas where my daughter lives in NC, hers is great! I love how you OWN your second hand vibe!!! Love it Linda!
I've been thrifting since I was a teenager and had no money. I now have everything I need but still thrift as that is much more friendly for our environment. The consumerism I see everywhere drives me nuts. Keep thrifting!
And the reality is there are stories of Goodwill's every where throwing a lot of stuff out. They can't keep up with how much they receive. We're a throwaway culture so I think we're doing a service to the environment!
Thank you for taking us along! I’m a Goodwill shopper! You found some lovely items in the clothing! I usually don’t have the patience to look through the clothing, so I go straight to housewares! I love all of your gardening videos! It’s all so beautiful!
Great point about thrift store prices, people can be so petty and unnecessarily critical. You are being economically, socially and environmentally responsible by creating a market for items that would otherwise end up in the landfill. Cheers to you, yet again, Linda!
Agreed. Don’t know why I have heard don’t go to thrift stores bc you are stealing affordable things from others who really need it. No! You are buying and if a family person comes in do you think those places charge them or turn them down ? Nonsense. Linda supports their ability to give needy what they need. Keep donating and keep shopping at these places.
@@youbetcha108 agreed, and further, I have never been in a thrift store with anything remotely like a shortage of goods. It is also absurd to suggest that a UA-cam channel with 150k subscribers has the power to change markets in a country of 330M people.
Thrifting does have new appeal and prices have gone up, but I try to shop wisely and do take advantage of discount days. Thank you Linda, for explaining the positive aspects of increased prices.
Oh so much fun! I love this video and hope to see more like it. I’m really confused about why anyone would say or basically accuse you or other thrifters of driving prices up. Um hello- every thing has gone up. These stores are putting a lot of resources into getting good items and not just junk to sell. Sometimes i think the terminology “thrift store” isn’t relevant anymore because they have really stepped up their game. Anyway, have a great holiday weekend 🇺🇸
Loved the bright yellow and black separates you found while “Thrifting.” You and Stuart make everyday activities so fun. Now before I purchase … I will ask myself if it looks “Vater-ish”.. big smile..
Regarding the sizing of clothing, I carry a retractable tape measure in my purse so I can check waist, bust and length measurements! It makes it easy to know if it's going to the dressing room with me. Love these type of videos in addition to your fab gardening videos💚
Shopped GW yesterday. Head full of Linda ideas. Came home and right to my garden that was cleaned, decluttered and wrought iron repainted. I look at things differently when I thrift these days.
My friend and I go to the Goodwill Outlet which is where everything is so reasonable. My favorite comment about something I got there was when a woman in the mall asked me what high end store I got my pants from and I told her they were a high end brand that I got at a low end price! When she found out where, she was amazed! Keep up the good work, Linda and Stewart!
I love that you encourage others to thrift! Your idea of using saucers for indoor potted plants is something I do also! I taught my children we look at 50%+ racks first to stretch the clothing budget and when they were small garage sales for winter coats and jackets. While flea markets were something we spent the whole day shopping for yard things and fishing gear, my hubby hunted for and often found. His hobby was rebuilding reels and then selling those once a year and doing it all over again! Thrifting is fun and responsible. I really enjoyed this today. Thank you Linda.
You found some great apparel at your Goodwill. I once owned an original Diane Von Furstenburg wrap dress circa 1975. If I had kept it I could have resold it today for a pretty penny. Great fun! Looking forward to the live Wednesday Walkabout; evening is fine with me.
Linda, thank you for taking us shopping at Goodwill. Thrift shopping is one option to be a responsible consumer. I have shopped at thrift stores for years. I find it quite satisfying to know I found a bargain while helping others. Rich and I are looking forward to the new Wednesday walk about. Hugs to you and Stewart.
I’ve only been watching you for a few weeks, but not only do you have great info and presentation, I love your spirit and I connected with you…..and you’re a thrifter! That’s so awesome! Another lovely soul doing good in the world, so glad searched for shrubs! Which is how I can across you. And your information was invaluable. If we lived in the same area, we could be junk buddies. But we can be in spirit!
Hi Linda, Perfect time for a live: looking forward to this! Love this glimpse of your window box; watching for herbs, veggies and edible flowers. Santa Fe must be a perfect getaway for you; would you share your favorite locations there? I was there in January and might go again late summer so your favorite stops would be fabulous!
Fabulous video!!! Please, please, please, do more thrifting ones. It’s so much fun watching you picking out so many artsy cloths and home goods. Of course it’s everything that I love and look for. Thank you, so much fun.
This video was so fun! I love thrifting. I get in the mood to thrift about once a month. I have to drive about 30 minutes to a Goodwill. I love the Top you got & scarf. So playful & eclectic. I really like your thrifting videos! Stewart is so awesome! Your interactions while filming add depth to your videos. I live in EST. 6/7pm is when I 'm preparing dinner & eating. I like Sunday afternoons for live videos.
Loved the adventure! So happy you kept the eclectic dress! I too was thinking.. create a pillow! Yes! It'll be a lovely accent in your home. & SCORE on the Singapore tee & coordinating scarf for your trip. Thank you for your inspirations.
Me encantan esas tiendas ....es como si buscamos en un baúl un TESORO...cosas poco corrientes, raras y bellas,de otras épocas y a un precio muy bueno!!! Tus compras estuvieron PRECIOSAS,me encanta tu falda!!
I lucked out today at our local Goodwill! When I walked in the door I spotted a grow light. When I got up to it, it was from Gardener’s Supply and never used!!! $19.99 on the tag and almost screamed out loud😂. Online it’s over $150! Such a fun day thrifting❤️
Hi Linda and Stewart Fun. Glad to see your shopping spree. I saved an OP shortcut Terri beachy zip up top circa 1985 which my daughter swiped from a closet. She loves that top and it still looks great! I can’t go to thrift shops. I have no self control ! But I do recycle curbside furniture if I can use it. I love to Re do old pieces. It’s my meditation. That and gardening🌺🌺 New York 7a either time works for me for yt live!
I love thrifting and have done so since I was a teen. I used to sew back then and would sometimes remake the outfit if I loved the fabric. Now my daughter is a big thrifter too. We share our thrifting finds over the phone since she is out of state attending nursing school.
Awesome video! Love the garden and your thrifting ideas. I love live shows, I live in Australia so if I can catch the live I will. I’m thinking that 6pm would mean I’m up and awake for the show. 🥰👌👍🇦🇺
This was so much fun! I enjoy the challenge of finding thrifted items to use in my home or garden, as well as small items to add to gift baskets for friends. Thank you for taking us along!
It’s funny,my favorite thing that you bought was the thing that you weren’t happy with and are going to make pillow cases out of! It’s called a Dashiki,an East African garment, meant to keep you cool in hot weather. Lovely!
Diane Von Furstenberg created the wrap dress. Really pretty print and it will make a nice robe. Thinking outside the box. Enjoyed your thrifting spree in Little Dot. Loved the green top and scarf combination. You were at the right place, right time. I can't say 6 pm is a good time but I will be there next Monday. Love the earrings.
Maybe the tunic could be saved by opening up the front seem just a bit. But, if not, repurposing it for a cushion cover will be stunning. Shout out to Stewart! His diplomatic answers made me chuckle. That's exactly how you shop with a lady! Well done. I love that he has his own mic. Great addition. Now on to find that fanny pack!
That was fun!!! I was vicariously shopping with you😊. I’m in SoCal, the Goodwills here don’t have fitting rooms😕 I agree with something comes in, something must go out!
Love your sense of style! The grafitti shirt was awesome! The long tunic top is so cute that I would consider having it altered to fit. It would make a stylish and comfy travel outfit - which would make it worthwhile.
Really enjoyed this. Hope you'll do more of these. The audio wasn't a problem for me and I have severe tinnitus and am sensitive to that kind of thing so I appreciate your concern but it was fine. Thanks! P.S. your Dot is super cute. ETA. Lives aren't really my thing because there's usually a lot of non entertaining content like pauses for questions, etc. I appreciate the edited videos where that kind of stuff is cut out leaving just the fun bits. Also, the time wouldn't work for me as I am on the west coast and still working then. But lots of people do seem to enjoy lives and I hope yours goes well!
Loved this video. I really like Stewart micked up. Linda you gave us great hints especially the dress you liked but it did not fit so you are going to make a pillow. If you really want to wear it maybe you could actually open the V in the front so you could get it over your head.
Love this thrift video. Would love to see more of these. Material is getting expensive and hard to find , great idea for a pillow, curtains, tablecloth’s napkins etc.👍😊❤️
I'm in Australia and have set my alarm for the live show next week can't wait. It will be early morning so better than the middle of the night for us 😁👍❤️❤️❤️ im also fan girling Stewart and that giggle 💖😊
Hi Linda, totaling loved the trip, so happy to see thrifting in vogue again! Sorry Stewart did not get the items on his list. I love the lettering top and scarf, and think you can open up the seam on the tunic so it fits over our head.
You haven't driven up the prices & GOODWILL. It's the resalers. Especially those who state their mark ups & you see the profits. Love driving around in your little DOT. 💕🌞 Reusing is a great idea & I've done it all my life
OMGoodness! I love Stewart or Stuart?! Tell him he is totally a good “girlfriend!” He is agreeable and patient! Next time, take the camera from him and show us what he looks like with his loaded down equipment! Fun video and love the printed tee shirt with the scarf! We definitely think alike!
I’m with you, I try to follow my own rule to go to the thrift store only if I bring something. 😉 …I don’t always remember my own rule, so thanks for the reminder.😊 I’ve been thrifting since high school, I’m a grandma now. It’s fun and you’re right, it increases my creativity. It’s like a treasure hunt!!
Great fun. It's difficult to see the construction clearly but I think you might find that a seamstress would have very little difficulty opening the neckline on that striking dress.
I love going to Salvation Army! When my mom was a little girl they help get her glasses and leg braces ! My father remembers service men getting of a bus and Salvation Army were given out a cookie and a cup of coffee free beside them was the Red Cross and they were charging $1.00 !
What a wonderful video. Stewart is a gem. You have a good eye and know how to pull things together from fashion to household decor.
This was SO FUN! I loved the format. And Stewart, I think you gave great fashion advice. My late husband loved clothes shopping together I really miss that. Stewart is a great friend ❤️👍 loved the Sydney t-shirt ❤️👏👏👍😁
Ugh….I need to do that too! Take something back!!! Love your videos too!
Linda, when it comes to fashion you can do no wrong! Just like your garden!
Hi Linda and Stewart,
Love this video. Please consider doing more and turning trash into treasure for our lives……….Love these type of ideas.

Thank you so much for this video. It's been such a sad week so it was nice to watch a positive video!
Oh it has been. Very😔
I'm so pleased to be able to hear Stewart. Thank you Stewart for being a good sport about carrying the extra weight in gear.
I've been thrifting since I was a teenager and had no money. I now have everything I need but still thrift as that is much more friendly for our environment. The consumerism I see everywhere drives me nuts. Keep thrifting!
Same here.
I remember OP clothing! They were really "the thing" for a while.
Hello dear how are you doing?
I love Linda's thrifting videos! She has so many good ideas.
And the reality is there are stories of Goodwill's every where throwing a lot of stuff out. They can't keep up with how much they receive. We're a throwaway culture so I think we're doing a service to the environment!
Some fun things you've found there. I really like that t-shirt and scarf. It's so you.
Thank you for taking us along! I’m a Goodwill shopper! You found some lovely items in the clothing! I usually don’t have the patience to look through the clothing, so I go straight to housewares! I love all of your gardening videos! It’s all so beautiful!
Hello dear how are you doing?
Linda and Stewart you're my new favorite! 💛 you're the type of people and energy I love to surround myself with.
Great point about thrift store prices, people can be so petty and unnecessarily critical. You are being economically, socially and environmentally responsible by creating a market for items that would otherwise end up in the landfill. Cheers to you, yet again, Linda!

Such a smart idea to buy plates as saucers!! Brilliant Linda! 💡👏
Love the clothing that you chose. Thanks for taking us along on shopping trip.
Thankyou Linda For Taking Us Thrifting,I Really Loved it and You Got Some Cute Thongs.
I appreciate being able the hear Stewart now! Question of the Day: evening is good for me. (so is morning, but...)
Perfect time for a live walkabout. Loved this video and fun to hear Stewart’s comments. So many great ideas!
I just told my girls I'm treating them to a thrifting treat tomorrow 😊 they have fun finding good affordable clothing
Loved the bright yellow and black separates you found while “Thrifting.” You and Stuart make everyday activities so fun. Now before I purchase … I will ask myself if it looks “Vater-ish”.. big smile..
Love hearing the wind rustling through your trees!

Haha, I carry one but use it to measure wood, storage pieces,or furniture, lol!
Shopped GW yesterday. Head full of Linda ideas. Came home and right to my garden that was cleaned, decluttered and wrought iron repainted. I look at things differently when I thrift these days.

I loved going thrifting with you and Stewart. You two are so cute.
I don’t think you are responsible for prices going up at thrift stores. I am glad that you are a thrift shopper. I love going thrifting.
I think Pinterest has had a lot to do with it. The upcycling definitely impacts the rise in prices.
Oh, Linda, my husband loves that you called that skillet a “rod iron skillet”! That’s what he calls them!!🥰
This was great! Cheap dresses are my thing for light garden work and relaxing on the porch in summer.
You found some great apparel at your Goodwill. I once owned an original Diane Von Furstenburg wrap dress circa 1975. If I had kept it I could have resold it today for a pretty penny. Great fun!

More of these, please. Thoroughly enjoyed thrifting with you.
Love, love, love this thrifting video, please do more! What a great haul! Thrift rules!☺️ Much affection from the city of Detroit!
Stewart -- you deserve a bonus for helping with the fashions -- my hubby would have hid in the car
That was fun!!! I was vicariously shopping with you😊. I’m in SoCal, the Goodwills here don’t have fitting rooms😕
I agree with something comes in, something must go out!
Loved it...... thank you Linda and Stewart
Love all your thrift finds at Goodwill, Linda!

Great video Linda, lovely finds, especially the wrap dress.
Waited all morning and here you are.thanks
This was so fun!! Love the saucer idea! Let’s do it again!
Have a blessed Memorial Day!
Thank you! You too!
I think that early evening time is best for UA-cam “lives” at least for me, as during the school year, I work in the morning!
Hello 👋 dear how are you doing?
Every girl needs a friend like Stewart in their lives.
I agree!
Stewart, you’re such a good sport!! 😊
I would put a zipper down the back of that batic type tunic or and opening with a button on top. It is so cute, I love that type of look.
Thanks for sharing the trip to Goodwill. I really enjoyed the tour.
Love this thrift video. Would love to see more of these. Material is getting expensive and hard to find , great idea for a pillow, curtains, tablecloth’s napkins etc.👍😊❤️
OK, now I want to hit up my local goodwill.
You're lucky you have Stewart, he's a good sport. Fun episode
He is!
Hello 👋 dear how are you doing?
Hi Linda! First of all I love your tote! I truly enjoyed watching you shop Goodwill! Thanks for this fun video! 😉
Oh my gosh, OP shorts. Thanks for the flashback Linda!
I haven’t been thrifting in quite awhile, but you’ve put me right back in the mood! Loved this.
the blouse you have on might be great with your skirt - thanks for all your videos - enjoy them so much!
I love this video so much!!!!
I love when you guys go to different stores!!!
Happy vídeo , love it!
Love your finds. Gave me some ideas. Thank you Linda ❤️
Oh my, that WAS so fun, Linda and Stewart!! You are amazing how you find such cute things. love, hugs, prayers.
This was such a fun video. Thanks for taking us along!
I love taking the senior discount that's on Wednesdays so most times I don't go thrifting until Wednesday LOL
I'm in Australia and have set my alarm for the live show next week can't wait. It will be early morning so better than the middle of the night for us 😁👍❤️❤️❤️ im also fan girling Stewart and that giggle 💖😊
He’s a doll!
Hi Linda, totaling loved the trip, so happy to see thrifting in vogue again! Sorry Stewart did not get the items on his list. I love the lettering top and scarf, and think you can open up the seam on the tunic so it fits over our head.

Yes!
I personally prefer Mornings. I watch all your videos while drinking my coffee. Your videos give me motivation and inspiration to start my day. 💕
Great fun. It's difficult to see the construction clearly but I think you might find that a seamstress would have very little difficulty opening the neckline on that striking dress.
OP! That’s a blast from the past! I loved Ocean Pacific clothes! Great video Linda and Stewart. Blessings! 🤗🤗
I love going to Salvation Army! When my mom was a little girl they help get her glasses and leg braces ! My father remembers service men getting of a bus and Salvation Army were given out a cookie and a cup of coffee free beside them was the Red Cross and they were charging $1.00 !
If that cast iron frying pan is a Griswold, it's worth the price. Stewart is such a good sport.
