I'm always on the lookout for glassware - vases, candle sticks, bowls, etc. I glue them together and make "mushrooms" and/or other assorted items for my garden !!! Also fun to give as gifts to my gardening friends
Those small jars are yogurt containers I love them. Stone muffin pans are Pampered Chef. Very expensive new. Really good finds at your store and the prices are amazing. Thanks Linda and Stewart.
I have to “take items for a ride” around the store. Sometimes they come home with me, and sometimes not. 😜 It gives me time to look at it and make a decision.
Enjoyed this video!Thrifting is a relaxing hobby of mine! My tip- “think about it in your cart”! Many times I’ve gone back to get an item I had just walked past minutes prior and it’s gone from the shelf! 😫 Therefore, I always place items in my cart as I ponder purchases and if I ultimately don’t want to buy, I place back on shelf before checkout.
I really enjoyed this video. When I go to any appointment, I usually take cookies. Getting plates at the thrift store…going home and putting in dishwasher and have it ready… it makes a good presentation for sure. Sending hugs prayers and kindness with lots of smiles 💖🙏🏼💖ps looking so cute Linda👍🏼💖
Usually 90% makes it in my cart….unless my husbands with me…he’s good at bringing back down off the Thrifting Cloud I seem to float around on. 😉 We’re trying to downsize for our little Victorian retirement home we’ve already purchased that is about 1000 Sq Ft less than where we live now. 1 more year! I can’t wait! I really enjoy your channel! Thank you for sharing as I’m sure it is a lot of work.
Well, boy do I LOVE this!! My most FAVORITE kind of day is strolling for hours at a thrift store and filling my cart ( to answer your question of the day, I leave with about 85% ) full of "goodies"! And I must say, it is after midnight here in Kentucky and I am already making plans in my head about my next trip to our local thrift shop! I LOVE your idea about putting homemade candy in those glass bowls and also really unusual containers for the Chex mix. Your holiday finds are FABULOUS! There is just nothing better than a day at the thrift store! Can't wait for part 2!! This was worth staying up late for...LOL! Sending you and Stewart lots of love and blessings!
Linda, your friend/neighbour with the native American vibe collects (as I reacall) Xmas baubles......enjoy your trip....and please try to fit in a thrifting video.....🤞
Linda I cannot believe how many wonderful items you found today at such an awesome price. I love the topiary trees they are going to be fabulous for the holidays. Thank you so much for sharing! Enjoy your upcoming trip!😊
I have put things back & then go back for it, only to discover someone snatched it up. What a bummer! I love you taking us along & I would never have thought about buying to deconstruct. I also love seeing your outfit style; would never have thought of putting those colors together, but it’s something I would copy. Stewart is a great shopping buddy; he even offers suggestions! Are you sure you didn’t find him in a catalogue for “The Perfect Male Friend?” I need a male friend that can help me with carpentry, bricklaying, welding, heavy lifting and all those skills I don’t possess or can’t do. You are a blessed women!
This was so much fun ! The mid century platter / dish was gorgeous.. even if it wasn’t a favorite color of mine . I love the topiaries and your idea of removing the leaves . The cut crystal candy dish idea was fabulous.. any of us non candy makers can do that with store bought candy or chocolate covered pretzels! The only thing is that you may regret not buying that little blue and white pumpkin. Later on when you need a gift for that person .. you might wish that you picked it up 💙 Thank u for taking us along , you have given us all some great ideas.
Love this!! 🎉 Thrifting is so fun, and kind of addicting, lol! I would say that I’m like you, and about 75% of my ‘finds’ actually go home with me. That muffin tin was a great find, and the stone wear ones you picked up look like Pampered Chef. Great tips as always, Linda!! Can’t wait for Part 2! 🎉😘
For the mini muffin tin. Herb flavored ice cubes or pesto cubes! Freeze and put in plastic bags for storage and winter flavoring for soups and casseroles😊
I collect those small glass candle holders that fit in sconces. I don't use them for that. I put small bottle brush Christmas trees under them (the kind with pearls for ornaments). At other times I put a single seashell, a faux succulent or a miniature treasure I've collected in the past under them.
Love the glass bowls you were looking at for your candy. A gorgeous gift basket and the prices were so good. You could not buy a gift bag as elegant. Great finds and Stuart is so much fun to have along.
I love your thought process when in a thrift store! Right before check out, I look at the items in my cart and if I don’t have an immediate plan for them they usually stay in the store. Thank you for all of your wonderful videos.
I lack that type of self restraint, when I find beautiful treasures at a bargain price, I typically buy 99% of what “speaks to me” 😊 You’re so classy, Linda, thank you for such great content!! 👏
It depends on what I find later! I’m a sewer and a crafter and if I find a stash of old fabric, notions or crafting supplies that will take priority! 😃
Just love when you go thrifting. Given all your ideas, it makes it very enjoyable to watch. I keep about 60 - 75% depending on if I'm gift shopping or just buying for myself to replace. I really like the dishes for individual servings, how fun is that, than you have your basis and can add meat or vegetables according to likes.
I love thrift stores. I shop like you with a category or mission in mind. We like a good bourbon too and our favorite dinner house has these beautiful glasses they use, I happened to fine one, just one at our favorite thrift store so I bought it anyway and every time we go back to that thrift store I look for more and finally found a second one. Now we can enjoy our cocktail in style. I love your thrifting videos, I think we all do…
It depends on but I never com home with all that I put in my cart. That goes for going to plant shops & nurserys as well. I sort of chose at the end between the things I put in… 👍😁
Good thing/Bad thing about the thrifting videos: I LOVE shopping along with you from the comfort of my home. Your ideas on how to utilize items are genius. Bad thing? Well, not so bad, however, I hate when I see something I've been looking for and see it on the shelves and can't get it! "Linda, noooo, get that thing on the shelf you just passed; I NEED that!!!" 😆 Seriously, though, I just love these videos. PS Am I the only one who sees some fashion when thrifting and think "Ooo, I bet Linda V would like this."? 😉
Hi Linda! I love thrifting for stocking up on items that I can use in my garden and to put plants in and sell or gift. I like interesting mugs, creamers and such to grow small gardens in. Looking forward to the next thrifting video. 🥰
Hi Linda...just a thought ..put thing's in your cart that you are thinking about you can always put it back or give it to the check out person if you decide no...I thought I'd go back for a nice leather purse and was talking about it with a friend I decided I'd think about it and 20 minutes later when we were ready to check out it was gone...so I from now on put things I may decide to get in my cart just in case. 😉
Love your thrift videos. I’m a lover of hurricane vases so I would always not pass them straight. Also loving those bows with the handles they’re very useful in so many ways
Linda, I am a new subbie. Thrifting is my hobby, so many treasures out there, it's the little things in life. I thrift for home decor and love to repurpose as well. I look forward to your channel, glad I came across to it!
I love thrifting, mostly everything makes it home and if i can't use it I and may friends and family do swaps..lol its always a great way to get together and brainstorm some ideas to redo or remake . Enjoy can't wait to see the next part of your thrifting adventure..
Good morning Linda. Excellent video. Your thrift shopping and bargain hunting skills are impeccable. Good luck in finding those curated holiday items. Have a wonderful weekend.
I use the mini muffin pan for muffins, but also mini egg bite quiches... also put a slice of rolled cookie dough in bottom, press up the sides and a mini Reeses cup in the center.... yummy cookies
I really enjoy these thrifting videos you do, Linda! So many great ideas I never thought of! I can't seem to get that comment out of my head from your last thrifting video, where you mentioned someone who had commented that it's people like yourself who drive up the prices at thrift stores. It's so NOT! If anyone is driving up the prices it's people who resell thrifted items, which I find nothing wrong with that either, reduce, reuse, recycle. But either way, these types of people would complain no matter what, whether you go thrifting or buy Armani. Also, I just got my CoolJob gloves today from your Sunday Live Giveaway and I LOVE them! Thank you!!
At the thrift i look for silverplate flatware that are in my patterns that i own. Sterling or silverplate napkin rings Anything Waterford, Tiffany or Steuben Crystal.
I just went on Craigslist and found one for $10.00 (although I’m sure it was much cheaper where Linda was shopping!), picking it up tomorrow! Someone wrote in and said they make great cornbread muffins! 😊
I’m so excited for cozy, holiday season on the LV channel! Hoping we can get a fall and winter Bake With Linda video. How do you remove the marker from all the thrift finds? Sometime removing the stickers is difficult enough
I think it would be about 75-80% goes home with me when I’m seriously looking! I was eyeing that lamb as soon as it came into the shot. I would have done the same thing you suggested - or used it at Easter amongst some potted daffodils and eggs. I like to do a table scape using moss from my cottage and small birds nests with faux speckled eggs and a pot of mini daffodils.
I noticed you walked right by and did not pick up the doll! That phase will come and the thrift store is a great place to find playthings and dress-up clothes for the grandkids!!! linda in NE
I shop a little differently. I don't put items in my cart. I take pictures of things I'm interested in. But if I don't remember an item at checkout I obviously didn't love it enough to buy it. Shopping that way saves me a ton of money. 💸

Precious Moments - I think is what the little baby angle figures are. :-) So cute!
I'm always on the lookout for glassware - vases, candle sticks, bowls, etc. I glue them together and make "mushrooms" and/or other assorted items for my garden !!! Also fun to give as gifts to my gardening friends
Linda you are creative and good at thinking outside the box .
Those small jars are yogurt containers I love them. Stone muffin pans are Pampered Chef.
Very expensive new. Really good finds at your store and the prices are amazing. Thanks Linda and Stewart.
Oui yogurt makes those “votive” candle holders. I’ve used them to place peony blooms too. The stickers come off easy.
I have put small flower arrangements in them if some flowers don't have a longer stem. And the yogurt is delicious.
You can also buy super cute wooden lids that fit them on Amazon and then use them as containers with a lid.
Qui sells plastic lids that fits the jars. Just go to their website.
I have to “take items for a ride” around the store. Sometimes they come home with me, and sometimes not. 😜 It gives me time to look at it and make a decision.
Me too! I do the same in Target
Omg...same!! It's a running joke with my friends and family. Most things in my cart will probably end up getting put back!
Enjoyed this video!Thrifting is a relaxing hobby of mine!
My tip- “think about it in your cart”! Many times I’ve gone back to get an item I had just walked past minutes prior and it’s gone from the shelf! 😫

When it comes to thrifting Linda truly seems to be in the zone.😍
Yes lol!
Your thrifting videos are among my favorites. You found some great items.
I usually buy everything in my cart unless i notice a stain/tear/damage etc. Loved the thrifting video, one of my favorite ways to shop!
Thumbs up for the "thrifting cloud" LOL! awesome

I was just watching one of your other videos and here you are.what a treat.!!!
Nice! Enjoy!
Those topiaries are gorgeous! That cane chair round table & chairs in the background is fabulous!
Can’t wait for the 2nd part - love your ideas, Linda 🥰

Maybe we could hire him out!
I would defintely scooped up the ceramic muffin pans. They make the best corn bread-so crispy!
This was so much fun ! The mid century platter / dish was gorgeous.. even if it wasn’t a favorite color of mine . I love the topiaries and your idea of removing the leaves . I already do😫
Yes, I loved the little blue and white ceramic pumpkin as well, very sweet!
I love Linda but I really want to find myself a Stuart! How fun would that be!?!
It is!
He's a jewel for sure!

Love thrifting and those gold topiaries are a great find!!! Can’t wait to see what you will do with them during the holidays!

I was waiting for you to say that pineapple holder piece would be great also used as a potted plant holder. I can picture that in your garden 🪴 💚
It depends on what I find later! I’m a sewer and a crafter and if I find a stash of old fabric, notions or crafting supplies that will take priority! 😃

I love this kind of videos even though it's not garden related.
Hi Linda! I love thrifting for stocking up on items that I can use in my garden and to put plants in and sell or gift. I like interesting mugs, creamers and such to grow small gardens in. Looking forward to the next thrifting video. 🥰

Linda, you should show us how to make your toffee chocolate cookies😊
Yes, I go to an annual cookie party and need some new ideas.
I love the idea of individual lasagnas…how perfect for a small dinner party.
Love this video❤ I usually take it all home! Great ideas you gave us🌹 Can't wait to see the next one. I could thrift everyday!!!
Great ideas Linda can’t wait to see how you use the items you bought.

Good morning Linda. Excellent video. Your thrift shopping and bargain hunting skills are impeccable. Good luck in finding those curated holiday items. Have a wonderful weekend.

At the thrift i look for silverplate flatware that are in my patterns that i own.
Sterling or silverplate napkin rings
Anything Waterford, Tiffany or Steuben Crystal.
👍👍
Stuart is a patient man!
85 per cent, usually. That thrift store is so well stocked with great stuff. You should have gotten the silver skeleton candy holder! It was so great.
It was!
Oh wow! Pampered chef stoneware muffin baker. Be still my heart!
I just went on Craigslist and found one for $10.00 (although I’m sure it was much cheaper where Linda was shopping!), picking it up tomorrow! Someone wrote in and said they make great cornbread muffins! 😊
Sooo much fun and I love your treasures !!!

Loved the wire spider webs!
Those little muffin tins make great ice cubes with a little lemon wedge inside ice , for homemade pink lemonade
Great idea Lil!☺️
I still really want to see your basement and where and how you store all your treasures, lol!
I’ve shown it in the past, but will try to show again soon!
Great video! As usual, thank you Linda and Stewart. If possible, please send pics from Singapore. Safe travels.❤️
You have inspired me to go check out my stores. Thanks, loved all your ideas.
Those clear votive candle holders are actually Oui yogurt containers....I know, because I have some!
Deconstructing, what a great idea. Curious as to what you will do with the gold topiaries. Surly, something fabulous.
I noticed you walked right by and did not pick up the doll! That phase will come and the thrift store is a great place to find playthings and dress-up clothes for the grandkids!!! linda in NE
Lol! Not quite there yet!
Thank you so much for coming in our store it’s called OK FAMILY THRIFT e are family owned and ran.
In our area Good will stores are way too expensive even for out of season items.
I shop a little differently. I don't put items in my cart. I take pictures of things I'm interested in. But if I don't remember an item at checkout I obviously didn't love it enough to buy it. Shopping that way saves me a ton of money. 💸
Great idea!
I put in cart, if I don't I'm afraid that when I come around the corner again the item will be gone, which has happened.
Love that brown plate. Been looking for something like that for my dresser !
I get it!
I only buy like new pots and pans, bakeware at estate sales. So often people buy and never use. Look for older ones, Ware-Ever Aluminum are the absolute best and so cheap at Esales!
Holding a man's "Debris of the day" that quote made me chuckle
Sorry you didn't put that silver scull in your cart, loved your ideas for it.
Wasn’t it? But I won’t be home this Halloween I don’t think.
I couldn't help but notice the light and signal posts at the beginning of your video! I have a feeling that based on everything I've seen in your videos that Oklahoma City, like the area where I live, has maintained much of its culture, which I much prefer to newer areas that all look alike and really have "no feel".
Yes. This too is an older part of town:)
I love your thrifting videos! I never went before I started watching you! Now I love it.i would say about 50% makes it to the checkout for me! Have a fantastic time in Singapore and congratulations to you son and his fiancé..
Thanks Pat!
I’ve found some good items at that Thrift Store. Nice staff too
Love your thriving ideas❤️! Would love the recipes you talk about yum 🤤
Thrifting not thriving 🤣
Lovely outfits!!!
I think the Oklahoma shaped things were soap molds!
Excellent finds
Love your thrifting videos Linda!
When I go thrifting, I take pictures with my phone of items I like. Then before I leave I go through them to decide what I will actually take home. :) Unless it is a DEFINITE yes item… that walks around with me 😊
Love the video, great ideas! Good shopping day😎
It was!
I'm intrigued by your chocolate toffee candy. What are the chances of you doing a video the next time you make them? 😋
What’s a secret recipe I may have to think on that lol!
Yes, agreed! Would love a holiday “bake with me” video from Linda.
❤️Linda❤️,
Please tell me you have a green suit dress- if so you would make a fabulous Tippi Hedren from the Birds. Instead of Birds, though, you should be covered in squirrels while fiercely guarding a topiary😂. 🐿🌳🐿 we need this!❤️
Oh my!!!😱😱😱😱
Love your videos on thrifting ,thanx xo
So much fun !!
You are a great shoppers!
I enjoyed this video, but I think before you suggest using a piece for food, you should double check the back stamp. Many pieces that seem to be for food use are only for decoration. Also, I personally would not be using any dish made in China for food usage. I think a better bet for dishes would be anything that was made in Japan in the 1950s - 1980s.
Ooo I like your earrings!
Linda, can you please do a video of your chocolate toffee?
