Ban Bua was the hotel we stayed in last trip to Udon, really liked that room for the cost and location. The Centara used to be called the Charoen Sri Hotel, we used to stay there in early 2000s with USAF , that was way before the mall expanded, it was about 1/5 the size it is now
Lots of opinions everywhere, what I found curious about getting any directions from anyone in Taiwan, was that the orientation for everyone is not "North" but the most important direction where the sun rises "East" and while everyone is very willing to be helpful, at times it seems they send people off in odd directions/ I listen carefully, and then head off in the right direction anyway. Crazy fun.

Maybe if she had a friend from the states with her to give her someone to talk with and go to the store. I think she might feel isolated. Hard to move to a strange place. It was easier for you because you had Paige
Well considering before this she was home all by herself for 7 years isolated, she's in a little better spot.

I'm not sure how long your video queue is. If you are still in Udon, I have been meaning to recommend Yu Onsen and Spa just across the railroad tracks from where you are staying. It is a little spendy, but I thought it was quite good. If you enjoy a hot water soak before an oil massage it's pretty much the only place you can go. I use the Onsen (soak) and oil massage package when I want to give myself a special treat. Someday I might get myself a hot tub -- until then I let Yu Onsen take care of the hot tub. 🙂
You know guys when you get to a certain Age your body falls asleep when it's inactive, no mobility; you sit too long your rear end or legs falls asleep & shake it out or stretch & also if a furniture is hard than it'll sore a parts of body/bones..but ppl don't judge others, look at yourself, are you a plus 70, suggestions not point fingers 👵...Chuck & Paige & Gang hope to see you All soon...Maxi SF now in Houston

Enjoyable video Chuck! Nice of you to spend some positive happy time with Kara. I don't understand how people today can make those comments about Kara. They are even offensive and insulting to me. One should have the courtesy and respect not to talk about another person's parents; that subject is OFF LIMITS! What if the shoe was on the other foot? Chuck obviously loves his mom, so why would anyone make such ridiculously nasty remarks to him? I was not raised like them. I am the product of parents born in China; 1st generation 74- year- old Chinese American male with 4 children born, raised, educated living in Southern California. Could it be the generational difference or maybe they were asleep or not paying attention when their own parents tried to teach and give them the moral ethical value system of life. Kara is just fine, good people! In the words of the infamous iconic philosopher Rodney King...."Can't we just get along?"

I think what your mom needs that female interaction you're a great son and a great son-in-law but I've noticed you put in about 150% to make sure your mother-in-law is fine and then return I don't think your wife puts in that much time make sure your mom is fine and granted she can use the excuse that her mom is sick but y'all travel all over the place and I'm pretty sure she stays by herself just fine

Everything in my life is actually perfect. My wife, and my mother, my in-laws. If you're thinking negative it is just you. I am very blessed Paige has the patience to step aside as I have asked. She is the most supportive person in the world. I'm not always holding a camera on Paige....

Hey Chuck, I was just wondering if they have imported whole chickens from America over there in Thailand? I really like the bigger, fattier, and more juicy chickens from America much more than those whole chickens from South East Asia. The chickens from Thailand are all too small and lean for my taste. I also thinks the chickens in Thailand is not as juicy as the American chickens. Let me know if you have ever seen imported whole chickens in your travels around Thailand. Thanks.
Thai people like to have meat closer to the bone. They don't eat a lot of chicken breast, you'll find that is pretty cheap in the market. The reason why I think KFC tastes better here than America is because you cannot import poultry I think in most countries. But it's always about individual taste.
