I agree Chuck Udon Thani was fun, my wife and I went for lens replacement surgery through Isaan Farang channel. That’s when we saw you outside the Irish clock. So we were just chilling for a week and healing, stayed at the Pannarai, we had a lot of fun, met nice welcome people and a lot of laughs on that street. You go to a bar for afternoon drinks and before you know it the bar crew are cooking amazing Isaan food and sharing… so much community on the street if you slow down engage and enjoy.. Songkran was so much fun. Great food Irish clock and Mandreds Italian and all the little bars along the street, dollar bar, ATM bar. Didn’t do much in day and night or nutty park we were having too much fun,
The bar owners there are super friendly compared to most places. Very family friendly style as you said and the staff are not brash like in most places. Always loved going there for a chilled out time. ATVB Chuck n Co. Bushyboy Oz.
giving extra cash for taxi's and hard working people trying to survive daily comes from the heart and considered 'tam boon'. I always give taxi drivers in BKK a minimum of 100 baht, regardless of the low fare. Small gestures mean a lot.

Never been into Nutty Park, didn't even know it was there. Been into Day and night a few times. Not really a bar person. We usually come to get Thai passports for the wife and kids. Plus some western food as well. Will have to check some of those places out next trip to Udon Thani.

6 years ago... Udon was so much cooler... between Covid and inflation. It's like any other town in Thailand. It hasn't recovered.
