Yeah this leads to the funny experience of Institute Synths taking Lasers from BoS soldiers in Fallout 4. Fallout 3-new Vegas I find are more suicidal bout getting them
It would have been hilarious if the Brotherhood had had a bunch of brahmin grazing on the ground over their bunker and had a full husbandry settlement populated by covert Brotherhood members - kinda like Veronica - hiding the entrance. When the Courier arrives, they could be greeted with, "Welcome to Hidden Valley Ranch!"

@@zxylo786 with what water lmao? and literal militia groups IRL can put pumping equipment into dirt tunnels, a pre-war bunker would have a better system.

@@American_KazumaIf you can, there’s a terminal in Ramos’ office you can use to turn them against the BOS, makes clearing the bunker a whole lot easier
Sad that the gauss rifle is actually so weak in terms of dps. By way of feedback, it might be interesting to see what happens if this fights takes place outside the bunker as it would keep the numbers of both sides consistent. If there are 20 NPCs on the BoS side clustered across the bunker while you're pumping NCR troopers + rangers + vets + heavies in one band, the individual firefights will be heavily tilted in favour of the NCR. Letting all the vets and heavies battle it out against all the paladins at once might be more even.
I’m guessing this dose make sense that the courier told the NCR Ranger that was there that the brotherhood was in bunkers and pointed at the slave collar on him.
i think canonically the ncr would just collapse the tunnel and starve them out, but i can also see them doing a full scale attack just for the armor and tech they have
Kind of think about it, Why don't the NCR send more troops to hidden valley instead of Ranger Dobson? Is it because they think the brotherhood had already disappeared after helios one, or is it because they'll use the bunkers as they're own base?
What mod do you use to make the lasers “stick” to walls and NPCs for a few seconds after firing? Same for the Laser RCW. It has a similar effect on some of your videos and it’s green instead of the normal red. Wanted to add those two mods for my next play through!
It's rather simple, really. The Brotherhood had the advantage in technology both offensive and defensive but they lacked numbers and supplies. Also while their weaponry and power armor were certainly impressive and head and shoulders above what the average NCR Trooper had that didn't really mean much when it only took a few Troopers to overwhelm a Paladin. The NCR Soldiers while individually not competitive with Brotherhood Knights or Paladins were competent enough, had decent firepower, decent armor, a decent supply of ammunition, and the benefit of having a pre-existing logistical backbone in the area. The Brotherhood's loss is a clear cut example of the saying "the pursuit of perfection is the enemy of good enough". While not inherently intimidating a single NCR Trooper was still a threat armed with a good enough gun and good enough armor with the logistical backbone to keep that gun supplied with ammo. While a Brotherhood Knight/Paladin had superb weaponry and superb armor it really only took between 3-4 Troopers to take one down assuming they were all wielding bog standard Service Rifles with no AP rounds. The real killer in the end was the fact that the NCR had roughly 15 Troopers for every 1 Brotherhood Knight (using the Battle of HELIOS One as an example) and the supplies to keep all those Troopers armed.
What could've been cool is maybe reporting to the NCR about the Brotherhoods air filtration problem, then do an undercover/sabotage quest where you tamper with the air filtration and fill the bunker with poisonous gas, then set up a nearby troop deployment to take them out once they exit the bunker. Always found it weird how the NCR felt the need for a strategy when it came to the Powder Gangers but not for the Brotherhood. As is, the quest for taking out the brotherhood is to literally go in there and push a button, then just survive the barrage on the way out.
Awesome vid Could you do the Super Mutants of Black Mountain invading Quarry Junction? Can the brutes clear out the Deathclaws or will them be torn to shreds?

So basically: 5 shitty conscripted NCR troop with 2 weeks of bootcamp = 1 legendary BoS Knight with the latest power armor technology. No wonder the BoS suck.
The NCR aren’t about overpowering with skill primarily they overpower with numbers doesn’t matter how much good you are you will be outnumbered if they keep shooting you long enough. It’s how they won Helios. Just threw crap loads of troopers in sent the ranger in next to clean up stragglers. Rangers make up the skill the troopers lack unless they are sergeant or part of the 1st Recon decisions. The brotherhood killed hundreds and I mean hundreds of NCR but they just kept on storming.
@@zxylo786I was refrying to the battle of Helios one. Before the first battle of hover dam the NCR sent enough troops for it to be a 15/1 battle the brotherhood lost 70 percent of their entire force because no matter how many troopers the brotherhood killed with their weaponry and power armor the NCR just had to many troopers. Pretty much NCR tactics are this. Swarm with foot soldiers, send it support to aid the advance (first recon), send in rangers to secure position (sent in after troopers), then if that doesn’t work they send in heavy troopers to deal with problems like turrets, heavy resistance, or massive disadvantages in fire power, then their last result is sending in the best of the best the veteran rangers usually armed with ranger sequoia’s (.45-70 cambered revolvers) and anti material rifles for dealing with heavily armored targets. Pretty much they only use their better troops if the “canon fodder” can’t gain some ground.
