for the keys and other watch master stuff; i wouldve grabbed a dark angels upgrade kit, and for the 'gap' with the halberd i would use a skull (like an ork or something to give it an 'anchor point' for max stability)
Thank you so much i play primaris deathwatch but i have held off buying a watchmaster because he is not a primaris this is a great starter spot for me to get ideas from 😄
Glad this could help. I'm slowly building up a Deathwatch army as well. On a side note, if you get a Custodes guardian spear then you can make any primaris into a Watchmaster.
The arms and head scale really well. The Primaris torso looks very good. I am having the Captain as a Flesh Tearer but no idea who my Watch Master will be.
@@JamsMiniMods I have a small force chosen and in tiny plastic ziplock bags for each model. Mixed Primaris and non Primaris for the force. The Watch Captain has the torso and sword of the company champion with the cloak, legs and backpack of the Space Marine Commander. Bald head with bionic eye and Deathwatch Bolter.
A great job well done.. when I have to separate parts, I use etched microsaws on a scalpel, the paper-thin blades make less mess and save more material
Just started painting my version that was made from the Bladeguard ancient/ Indomitus captain and a bunch of weapons bashed into the spear (xenophase blade ftw!)
@@JamsMiniMods it was a fun bash trying to replicate the essence of the character from what I already owned. No mistaking that he's a Watch Master though!
Does the Deathwatch have more than one Watch Master? because if they do I like the idea of making all custom characters and none of the named established ones so you can write your own lore.
Yeah they have multiple "companies/chapters".. So you can make any Watch Master to lead them, and any characters you want. It's a great army for kitbashing and building lore.
If you look at the Galactic Map in the Codex: Space Marines, you’ll see multiple Watch Tower icons. About 6 or 7. The Codex even shows the banner for three of them. Each Watch Tower is commanded by a Watch Master.
As much as I dislike them, the roman balteus is Ultramarines through and through. So...i guess I vote Ultramarimes, as much as it hurts my Dorn loving heart.
You probably have chosen a chapter by now, but given the kneepad symbol on Amulius, I reckon Novamarines would be a good choice. Also, I'm tempted to follow in your footsteps here, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are on trimming the terrain under the feet to be able to fit it on a 32mm base?
I haven't stuck a symbol on him yet but Novamarines does work! Trimming the terrain off should be easy and he'll probably fit on a 32mm quite well. Why do you want him on a 32mm? Play him as a normal intercessor?
@@JamsMiniMods No, I was thinking of doing something similar, but the Watch Master rules specify a 32mm base, so I wanted to be able to keep him tournament legal just in case.
@@JamsMiniMods There's a guy in my local area selling a NOS Amulius, but I also have, randomly, a spare Bladeguard Ancient torso, and I think both could work well... Just trying to decide how to do it.
would it not have been easier to just remove the backpack fitting from both models and reattach the primaris one to the cape rather than all the cutting work? less risky?
Every time you pick up the clippers I tend to look away or cover my eyes.... this hacking of parts that can be salvaje if only you use the right tools is like a horror move for me!
Ooh! He should be a Minotaur! That could lead to a baller Spartan look!
I didn't think of that.. Great shout there!.. I'll look into them to try get some inspiration 🤔
I do like the "Roman/Spartan" look... Minotaur is a win win for me
Spartan with glaive?
Thanks for the shoutout! So excited to be a part of the forming of your custom chapter!!
Thanks man.. It's a great start to the project!
That is a Crimson Fist. Sweet loking conversion.
You know.. I was thinking the same thing!
And thank you! 🤘

Definitely has to be the survior of a lamentors company, because if you can survive that then you have to be good
Haha you've got a good point there!
The arms and head scale really well. The Primaris torso looks very good.

Yeah they work surprisingly well! .. I'll decide on which chapter my Watch Master is from once I actually get round to painting him haha

Sounds pretty good.. Maybe a Imperial Fist? Sounds fitting
@@JamsMiniMods he could be. I have ordered the new Dark Angels supplement so new successor chapters may be added to the force.
Yeah I got to start more successors as well soon
This really did turn out cool... big risk cutting into these 2 models but what a result. Crushed it...
Thanks man.. Yeah, wasn't sure if it would work, but there's always green stuff haha
You could make him a black shield but alude to him being a loyalist Warhound.
That could be cool.. I might be doing Imperial Fist but I'll think about it 🤔

Great video, love the mini! Cheers from Canada!

Those are always the best kitbashes!
Looks amazing. Finishing touch could be shaving off the centre and putting an inquisitor I from the deathwatch upgrade spure

I could see that working well.
Love ya vids dude, new to kit bashing and you're a real inspiration :D
Thanks man, really appreciate that!
And welcome to the kitbash crew! 😅 If you ever want to share your work then feel free to join my discord!
Nice little Kitbash. Go Blood Ravens
Thanks.. I'm keeping a Blood Raven for a possible future project 🤔
My man... Great job! Looks pretty awesome. 👍🏻
Thanks man, appreciate it! 🤘
Hmmm I’d say try for the Mortifactors chapter, also a big chilly hello from Canada
I'll give them a deeper look!.. And a kinda chilly hello from the UK 😅
Salamanders or iron hand would be cool.
Iron Hands could work 🤔.. I'll definitely need to kitbash a salamander soon
Great work mate , really enjoying your videos , I think he should be a Dark Angels Watch Master , keep up the awesome work 👍🏻🇦🇺
Thanks Chris, DA could work!
Sweet man! Looking great
Thanks man 🤘
It feels like I’m watching somebody perform brain surgery on themselves.
“Are you sure you want to cut that THERE?!” 😂
Cheers 🍻

@Fraser Peat well, depending on how much it is Amulius is a good buy, and he's limited edition.
What 2 models are used???
The primaris body was from a limited edition Lieutenant Amulius and the other one is the Deathwatch Watch Master.

Huh, the arms don't actually look too short or anything.
Yeah they fit pretty well
What kit is the spear from ?
It's all from the Deathwatch Watch Master kit
Gotta be fists

Ultramarine
