@@Joe-sd2kx lol no, first of all, the only corrupt ppl on that list are Romney and Bush, and Trump always wanted to be president, ever since he was a kid.
Notice how Chief Justice Roberts says “So help you God?” all 4 times for Obama and for Biden too but just says “So help me God.” for Trump. It’s like he thought Trump would actually say “So help you God” back to him.
John Roberts asks every president elect whether they would like so help you god as question or a statement. Obama and Biden said question, Trump wanted it as a statement.
Well, even if cameras were around back then, people probably couldn't have grabbed a camera quickly enough. Remember, your predecessor died after 30 days in office. It was a bit of a shock.

for those who don't know, fdr decided to run for president so that he would be able to lead the country throughout ww2. originally, he wanted to stick with just 2 terms, but with the war going on, he didnt want someone else taking over
And FDR was the only president he ever swore in. Hoover was sworn in by former president William Howard Taft, who immediately preceded Hughes as Chief Justice.
Sad to see FDR by 1945 looking so drawn and his voice without that booming quality. That was less than three months before he passed away. With Dwight D Eisenhower in both 1953 and 1957 it is interesting that when the chief justice says “... faithfully execute the office of President of the United States,“ Eisenhower’s response is “ faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States.“ I thought maybe he had misspoke in 1953, But he did it again in 1957. For historical purposes, I am glad a recording of Lyndon Johnson taking the oath of office in Dallas aboard Air Force One on November 22, 1963 after the assassination of President Kennedy is in existence and I am glad you posted it. Finally, thank you for updating this so quickly with President Biden’s swearing in.
Rehnquist had thyroid cancer at the time and would die only a few months later. I don't know if that had any connection to how his voice sounded there, but it's worth mentioning.
I find it funny that for a lot of the inaugurations the same guys have been doing them, yet they still have to read the book because they can't memorize the same 30 words

The fact that Charles Evan Hughes is the only Chief Justice to swear in the same president three times (all FDR)

I first watched Biden's inauguration live and just was surprised by the fact that they did it 16 minutes early (iirc it was 11:44 AM EST) and that's all I really remembered. Then I watched this not long after and noticed he said everything fairly fluently. This time, I noticed that when he turned to his left, there were only three people; his wife, Hunter, and Ashley (I think). Beau died in 2015, and Naomi died with Joe's first wife in 1972. He's outlived two of his own children and a wife, and I can't help but feel sorrow for the fact that two more people should've been there with Joe, but they weren't.
Biden has done so many things than people realize. I think he’s doing great so far as president. Things may be a bit messy around specifically the border crisis and the pandemic but he’s handling being the president well. I do think that he could tackle the border crisis a little bit better but then again we have a bunch of issues right now that he’s trying to handle in the best way possible.
