Hey, Cat, just here to say that a new hero; Echo came out with a brand new Origin Story. I also know you love reacting to the series and hope you’ll add it to this list.
I think Sigma's mind was splintered and fractured, and now fluctuate between multi-dimensions or parallel realities...
In game, his ultimate is actually a mental breakdown, and when you use his abilities related to gravity you can hear whispers around, and as you use the ultimate, you can hear the piano song that plays in the trailer, but only you, enemies and teammates only hear his shout
this stuff is what i consider good game immersion
It be cool if his ultimate did so much damage that the piano was the only sound you could hear, as like a mini nerf, it would also be a great way to show insanity, but that only happens during actual games not practice modes. Also imagine streamers using his ult for the first time and yelling to their whole team about a loud piano but no one else hears it. XD

Sigma: the bad guy that doesn’t know he’s bad.
He is a Scientist that devoted to his theories regarding gravities, but he holds no real desire or interest in harming others.
When you look through his actual interactions, he doesn’t show any signs of Malice or Hatred towards even Overwatch members. Instead, he shows respect and fascination over everything going on.
Now After he was freed by Talon, he was forced to fight for them and be their secret weapon.

He was never forced ! His a scientist that went little crazy so the gravity messed him up he has two personalities none of them "Persay bad" but one is more like "Humanity is nothing compare to universe" and another one "Helping people and learning " his torn apart and he respects everyone but yet he respects Universe more! That's what makes him "Evil" his not actually evil... or bad guy... He just thinks humanity is trash compared to everything else , one of his lines is ...
Sigma : You are very strong woman (To Zarya) But Gravity is STRONGER! he really likes her weapon lol

He ... learns from everything and he finds everything interesting but he has personality split !

When his experiment went south... He lost part of himself and i think the parallel time line possibly have merged in to him. His really interesting character and scary!!

Sigma has suffered great psychological damage. Talon broke him out of the institution at which he was being studied and they've exploited his vulnerable mind to convince him to fight for them. They are trying to create a living weapon.

When first saw the Sigma trailer I thought he broke reality and got some condition similar to Tracer's. That would have been cool. It would be cool to see how another character deals with that.
Wondering if they ever will make another character like that, especially since Tracer would be able to help them/relate to them.
Supposedly time practicality dont dont work the same in a black hole not even light witch can wrap around planet 7.5 times in 1 sec cant escape what if apart of him was destroyed from the emence force of a black hole (I'm not sure because we dont know much about what happens in a black hole so its jus just speculation)
I know im like 2 years late but i saw someone had a theory that him harnessing the power of a black hole allowed him to unintentionally break the 4th wall so he can hear the background music that is playing in the video and that's why he's asking "what is that melody". I also saw another say that the melody being played was just used in talons brainwashing but the first theory is cooler imo.

I lost it when you tried to pronounce his name! I am dutch mysefl (which is Sigma's country of origin aswell as his voiceactor) so it is allways so funny to hear people who are not native to the netherlands try to pronounce it.

Sigma was imprisoned because after the accident with the black hole he was trying to harnest he started manipulating gravity (both by accident and also just using it as his weapon) and he was dangerous for the ppl around him by manipulating gravity.
And he also has multiple personality disorder after the black hole basically split his personality
If you watch this in reverse, you can hear the fractured part of his mind whispering RELEASE ME
When I play Sigma, it serves as a reminder that anything through the power of science is possible, even harnessing things like Hawking Radiation (which is possibly what Sigma wanted when he wanted to harness a black hole, that or to use density to science some science up and other science fiction stuff), but it also serves to remind me that nothing is without a cost, and the world has a price for its secrets. Overall, I play Sigma because it fits my playstyle, but the character helps me come to terms with infinite possibilities and the price it holds. Also I'm 18 and play Sigma, he's more popular amongst people that like scientific stuff. I'm in the Air Force (american) and my field requires a good understanding of science to thrive in
i love sigmas intelligence but fragility, you see him as this eccentric , brilliant man but then every so often you see a switch flick in his mind and he just looks terrified because of it but then a moment later its back to normal. i was hooked by that the moment i saw it and he is my favourite character law wise because of that and 2nd favourite in game.

Sigma, from my perspective, is based around The Split-Timeline Theory.
Basically, Sigma has suffered an accident regarding the black hole experiment. Thus affecting his mental health and twisting his brain, or "spaghettifying" (idk if thats how you spell it). His mind goes through similar timeline, possibly witnessing the future. His body currently works for talon cause they are manipulating him to be that said "villain". He's more of a anti-hero in my eyes, he's neutral. Theory being, he possibly sees a bad future so what he is thinking, he must be the "villain" in order to make that future a better one, working with talon and all. The accident left him terribly scarred and will need to fight his way for a better future, or what he thinks will be a future.
The part where he suddenly switching from "I will bring you a better understanding of the univ- VIOLENCE" is a sudden change upon talon manipulating him.
I main him in overwatch cause he is very well written and the more i play him, the more and more i understand his origin and playstyle.

When the alarm goes off its Reaper and Moira breaking in to take advantage of him in his mental state. Basically they recruited him when he wasn't in the roght state of mind therefore making him a "villain" becuase he joined talon but it wasn't much out of choice.

Literally the only OW cinematic that isn't generic, predictable or just uninteresting. Sadly, didn't last long. Good character though.
there has been an incident between Hong Kong & China and a pro player from Hearthstone spoke against China(liberate Hong Kong etc.) so Blizzard suspended him for 1 year & withdrew his money prize also they fired the streamers that happened to be there, later they reduced his suspension to 6 months and the streamers too due backlash. now back on Sigma he's an actual mad scientist, he doesn't really know what's happening around him, he thinks he's being imprisoned but I think he's being taken to a mental asylum (because he's crazy) so the bad guys broke him out he's like they rescued me and joined them.

I know this is an old video and you probably won't see this, but Sigma doesn't wear shoes because being imprisoned for mental reasons at any facility actually has them remove and keep your shoes. Shoe laces and the shoes themselves can be dangerous to them, so they just completely get rid of them. Once he was broken out, he never went back because his mind is still broken like his morality.

Sigma is actually being used by Talon. U said he'S defintelly a villain but actually he's not... He's not aware of what is happening~ he was a scientist who took interest in how the gravity works and told himself that THE GRAVITY he's researching is actually a Harness for us and tried to control it~ for this research he used 'black hole' but the experiment went out of the hands. He became crazy and split his personality- they put him in the 'asylum' but then in quarantine cause he became dangerous to himself and his surroundings… thanx to that his mentality got even worse and took after his body if u play it reversed, he's asking someone to help him, someone to save him from himself … he says 'BEVRIJD ME' it's Dutch phrase for 'FREE ME' u can hear it only when played on reverse. It's the creepiest origin story for "hero" in my opinion :// not the saddest but definitelly interesting one 🖤
