- Amidst the Guitar Hero 1 and 2 FC races, Guitar Hero 3 was only a matter of time to be released. With the unexpected release of an expansion game, however, players were faced with the most absurd charts by far in the entire series, and it was up to a select few to finish them off.

Fun fact: "I Want Candy" by Bow Wow Wow was playable in a pre-release demo for this game, but was cut from the final setlist. It's often speculated that "Because It's Midnite" was added into the final game in its place, due to its otherwise baffling tier 2 placement and the fact it's the only song in the setlist not actually from the '80's (as like "Trogdor", it originates from Homestar Runner).
Well, at least we got a fun song. A song worth remembering.

Pretty sure Because It's Midnight was gonn be the one bonus song in the game, but since I Want Candy was cut, BiM was put in tier 2 instead.

you know what makes me really sad. I was absolutely obsessed with gh in Highschool and played every day for hours on end. only near the time he stopped playing and caring as much did i learn that Kevin went to my school and by the time i tried to get him to play with me he wasnt into it. I dont know if i could ever explain the feeling of telling a 15 year old, who is addicted to a game, that one of if not the best player in the world was in my home town

Loved rocks the 80s. Also man scorehero what nostalgia, still remember when I was top 200 on there after ~31 GH3 FCs. That was where I peaked though and quit for good.

I recently bought the Dual Pack for GHI and II, as my original II copy was played so much that the PS2 won't read it anymore lmao. Just beat GHI on Expert today, I knew it felt off cause things that seemed piss easy on Clone Hero just seemed impossible on this game. Knew I wasn't going crazy lmao.

GH1 has a TOUGH engine. I love it, but yeah it’s a tough engine. Also, it was lagging so much when I tried playing it on my flatscreen TV.

Well the one problem with that is that once Flames was FCd, there was little future games could do to present a real challenge to top players. I guess GHM could be interesting, and maybe WOR but that was so late.
@@plasmakitten4261 I think one way to make the later games' score progression more interesting, is to include full band FC's too. I've heard that Fury Of The Storm wasn't FBFC'd until just a few months ago.
