Some of the drivers of the camera cars are in the wrong here, too. The guy in the BM realised his mistake, but the camera car driver just stood on the horn. The horn is supposed to make other road users aware of your presence, not vent frustration. Just causes confusion and panic if you blare the horn for that long.

I bought a copy of the New, Updated Highway Code and I found it is pretty much the same as the old Highway Code... Pretty much don't assume you have right of way. Don't proceed if it isn't safe to do so. Don't sound your horn aggressively and so forth. Hmm, how many drivers on here could pass another driving test? If I was Prime Minister, I would pass a law that ALL drivers need to pass a test EVERY 5 YEARS! That way, driving standards should improve a HUGE amount as everyone would need to be able to pass each time. And I would be the first to volunteer to sit another test....I have been driving since I was 15 and am now 48. I passed my test in Edinburgh after five lessons from BSM, but I have never stopped learning.

The video at 4:31 is from Sludgeguts of Aylesbury. On Sludgeguts' channel he shows a lot more of the build up to this incident and it shows that the truck driver was weaving in and out of the bus lane long before Sludgeguts drove his bus alongside the truck. Now, if I see somebody weaving in and out of lanes in front of me I stay well back, so why Sludgeguts chose to drive alongside this truck is beyond me!
People need to realise that their first priority should be to avoid accidents. Some on here just seem to stand their ground if they are in the right, at any price. Having no accident is better than being in a non-blame crash.

The HGV driver at around 2:03 is clearly trying to close the gap. Getting to a point, where the braking distance is dangerously low to the HGV in front.. Good driving behaviour is leaving a gap, for potential overtaking cars. Quite annoying to be stuck behind, if it's a winding road. Then he could have been implemented in a fatal accident... it was damn close to a frontal or offset impact. Why not just keep the steady pace for fuel efficiency, and let the people take risks on their own
