Excellent video brother. I can tell you though because I'm a poor ma'fucca here's where you went wrong with that mac and cheese. You add the water and you let that absorb and soften the noodles and after that there's almost no water left. Then you add the cheese and mix it together and it makes it like normal mac and cheese. You're better at catching cook, I'm better at backpacking quick instant poor-white-trash meals. We could teach each other a few things. 😂 Sláinte!

He also could have just boiled the noodles in the water pot to soften them up then just scooped them back into the container and mixed with the cheese. The water still would have mixed decent in the potatoes.

Best stealth camping you done so far,and by far the most "realistic" one. The past two stealth camping were awesome but they felt safe. Never did i once think anyone would intrude on you, hence you didn't feel the need to put alarms. This one really feels like stealth camping, you were even trying to hide from security. @Section9studio you’re a damn fool lol your cousins live in a motel 6? And the motel 6 staff was perfectly on board with someone sleeping in the lot behind their property risking possible injury, property damage and lawsuit? What would the hotel gain from this at all? And a security guard would risk her job for a guy she doesn’t even know? Quit making up things where you pretend you know things you actually don’t, that’s inaccurate and slander.

You put your mettle to the test and came out a champ. Awesome video! You are a brave man and must have an amazing immune system from gathering water at that source.
Also. Nalgene Oasis bottles are back in stock! I like to have three different colors on me for camping. Green means "go" and I can chug as much as I want. Blue means "cool it" and I can sip it when I'm thirsty. When I hit my red bottle, it means I'm almost out and to use the water sparingly if I'm not near a clean water source.

This was a good one! You ran into some realistic challenges with the security lady and all the noise from that warehouse. The water bottle security system was clever. Too bad your cat buddies didn't hang around. For your water situation, it might be good to get one of the two quart army canteens. They come with a case that you can attach to a pack, or use like a haversack. If I'm camping somewhere without access to water, I'll bring a one quart nalgene plus the army one and that's usually enough for cooking, coffee, and hydration.

One piece of kit you may want to add in suburban areas is a tool called a silcock key. It is used to open silcock/water valves around commercial buildings where they do not want people turning on the water. They have tamper proof valves and may be shaped to where a multi-tool may not provide enough grip.

I once worked at a truckstop and would do semi- stealth camping. No pun intended. What I meant everybody at work knew I am camping in the wooded acreage behind the station. Nice thing was that was only about a thousand away so I can easily resupply as needed. The only promleb I had was when two guys on atv's noticed my bright blue tarp against the fall foliage. That was thend of that season. I fixed that by getting a green one and spay painting my own camo pattern. Had to the same for my hammock. As far as fires go, I use a Dakota firepit. If I am Wild camping and not worried about stealth I'll just do an open lay.

Man, it's been a while since I've commented on one of your videos, but I've just caught up with your stealth camps, and I just wanted to say they were all extremely well done and enjoyable. Will definitely be giving them a rewatch.
Now, I do have three tips or suggestions I would like to give you, and whether or not you take and use them is entirely up to you. I also don't know if you do these things off camera or not, but if you do, feel free to ignore me completely, lol.
    1. All your stealth camps have been urban so far, but have you considered stealth camping in a state park or something where there's a lot of foot traffic, but you're in the outdoors? You walk in unnoticed, camp unnoticed, and then walk out unnoticed.
    2. Have you considered a red light? I understand you probably need the white lights for filming, but a red light would make you more difficult to detect as it doesn't travel as far and less noticeable in the dark. Or, if you don't want to use a red light, maybe the moonlight settings on your flashlights?
    3. More of an observation than a tip, but most of those microwave mac & cheeses are made with the assumption that the microwave is going to evaporate a good portion of the water, the noodles will absorb what's needed, and you'll have a bit left to help mix the cheese. The fill line is marked with that in mind. Next time, I would add a little less water than the fill line, let it sit and get absorbed, dump out most of the leftover water, then add the cheese and mix. Just a tip if you go the mac & cheese route again, though it sounded like it worked out for you in the end.
Anyway, keep up the good work, man, and I thoroughly enjoyed the stealth adventures.

Just add boiling water to the noodles and let sit for about 5 minutes. Any water left, go ahead and drain it, and then add the creamy cheese pack. Just a suggestion. Those trash trucks that empty the dumpsters are told to raise it up a few feet and drop it back down bcuz many homeless are using them as quick shelters.
So they wake them up and give them time to get up and get out. Otherwise they get flipped into the trash truck and compacted with the rest of the trash and yes they have found people that didn't get out and were compacted and were found at the dump site crushed

But it's less gear, smell, and risk of burn from an accident. Salmon packets are good. Heb also sells packets of Indian food, which are a nice variety. I use a foam pad under my inflatable, to protect against thorns, and as backup if it leaks, the foam is something. Would you have rolled up in the tarp if it rained? Maybe good in addition to the poncho rigged over you. For alarms - what about string and bells?

    Enjoyed the video my friend!

Awesome adventure, the cans and bottles was a great idea.
    Love Cuervo's jams throughout.
Two thing I would have done, mix the taters, mac & cheese right from the start, and dipped that overly sweet waffle into unsweetened bitter coffee to balance it all out, haha, the belly wants what the belly wants for me I guess.
    Thank you for sharing.

Great video! I wasn't at all surprised when the security staffer actually said, "Is somebody in there?" What did you decide about the microwave shells n cheese? I think the only way to make it while camping is in a metal pot or mug. I love Currvo Negro's tunes. I really liked your desert camping video with the Yucca for tarp support. I love the natural foods instructions. THAT alone is worth the watch.

Love this video. When I was a teenager I was homeless for a while. I got by for a little bit with couch surfing but that welcome wore out fast. I found myself in parks, and at one point breaking into a garage where someone had some camping gear. I never stole anything and meticulously placed everything back were it went every morning before the family woke up. Not a proud moment but man did I ever get some good sleep in that garage in a fancy down filled sleeping bag. Eventually a friend and his mom took me in. Strange time in my life.

A suggestion for your spice kit is to put some starch in there, I've found that very useful and it would've made that mac n cheese a lot better with very little effort. Quite a lot of calories in a small space as well. Corn starch is my choice.
As for alarm systems the personal alarms where you pull a pin is unbeatable. In a small, light and cheap package you get a near perfect alarm system that is loud (and some have lights as well), hard to turn off and can be used in so many ways with just a few accessories like fishing line and magnets. I know people that have used them as car alarms (magnet to the bottom of the car, run a fishing line to a pole or even a ground stake) and I've used them as booby traps for doors, used the fishing line as a trip wire as well as numerous other variations. Depending on what you're going to use it for you need to get one that has a light enough pull, some of them require a fairly hard yank to get going.

A little advise...in the beginning where u grabbed that branch before u started clearing out ur area to sleep in...u could have easily used that same branch and used it as a rake...use ur knife to carve out a lil and it will be a decent rake....second...look into carrying a steel canteen...that way u can boil water if need be.

    • @JunkyardFox
      @JunkyardFox  Рік тому

true, i didnt think about the branch, i do have asteel cup for boiling water that nests with my canteens, its the one i used for making my dinner and coffee.

Once I made a not so stealth sleeping .. by just sleeping at the nearest national bank (yes, where the ATMs are). It was great: cameras taking care of me, great shelter, the floor was a bit hard yes, but ok after all. In the morning a couple of bank employees woke me up with crackers and coffee.. We all understood the situation and I moved on.. Sometimes .. humans just take care of humans ( it was a cold rainy night ).

As much as you like green chili, you could be an Honorary New Mexican! But gotta knock off points for that coffee! Maxwell House is one of the worst supermarket coffees in my opinion. I went through many ways to make coffee backpacking and finally came up with using a small reusable coffee filter that I would add good coffee to (try Seattle's Best #4) and simply dip into my pot of water, just off boil (too hot will bring out bitterness).
For car camping I use a small funnel shaped thing that sits on top of your cup and uses #2 cone filters. I like a cheap light plastic commuter cup to keep the coffee hot. You can use the coffee of your choice, and it probably will be cheaper than those pods. Filtered coffee is supposed to be healthier too.

Love the new video brother and I’m rocking my new tshirt I got couple weeks ago roughly. It’s perfect!❤️ I take velveeta cups on road with me a lot love em but then again my box truck has a microwave versus boiled water over fire lol and those mashed potatoes cups are great too I just have to have butter. That spice kit you revamped is great!❤ omg another reason I like you so much your a cat lover! I’m the neighborhood crazy disabled army combat cat guy🤣. I get other random strays that come by to get a snack and say hi to me even this little prego female lately😳I have a feeling she’ll drop em raise em a little then leave em for me like other mothers have lol. I gotta get back down to Texas a what a burger darn it cause we don’t have em here in Ohio. God bless brother and Cuervo negros music❤ empty water bottle idea is genius! I’ll have to remember that if I ever get myself motivated to stealth camp around my city. I do have a spot several blocks from me I think would be neat plus creek right there area I grew up as a kid and all these years later I been back since 2014. Ok I’m shutting up it’s late and duty calls later today lol. Huh a random black high heel interesting🤣

A woman, Alone, At night, In a Druggies Paradise, Out of line of sight of roads, saying IS THERE ANY BODY OUT THERE ... has the biggest set any woman can have. Also, mulberry is best shaken from the tree onto a sheet. There multiple kinds that can sprout up from the same batch of seed. Ones with lots of colour to ones with no colour. And the ones with colour can either have no flavour or be very intensely flavoured. The white ones are almost always flavourless and super sweet. The coloured ones can be sweet or have no sugar in them. Lots of variety in the experience, and even though you think "oh I want flavour and sweet", not always. You have a tart apple, nice flavour but a little sour and want to make a sauce or a pie with them well then add in a cup of white mulberries, you dont change the colour of the apples, you dont lose the apple flavour, but you do get the sweetness from the mulberry. If you need a sugar source for a ferment but don't have wild honey to harvest, white mulberries are your friend again. All in how you look at them :) and lots of use for them.
