You’re the man James. I tent camp at least once a month with 2 good friends. We’re in the mid west so it gets rough in the colder months. I watch your videos leading up to the days we leave for camp. Definitely gets me motivated. Looking forward to more of your stealth camp videos bud.

Hey Cowboy. Firebox Stove has a new burner with a diffuser. It fits in their stove with stability. It makes the perfect small gas grill. Also it would contain your fires and require a lot less wood. I’m sure Steve would send you one to try and review. I love all my Firebox gear. Extreme quality and usability.

I may cry a little if you stay with the skull, but at the end-of-the-day I will survive and will keep enjoying your & Cuervo’s presentations. 👍

no its a drawstring from my sleeping bag lol but it does look like a bug running quickly, but it was my hand moving the bag, that pulled the string
The human body adapts to its climate, what is cold to u feels the same as what is cold to a canadian or alaskan, they are more used to colder climate so u feel just as cold in ur climate as they do in theirs. Great video, thanks james

Have you thought about getting wood carving blades? They have some curved blades to carve out spoons, maybe you could try making a bowl with one. 🤔 Get into carving and then do wood carving blade reviews. 😁

Nice video James...you were prepared for all,and got pleasently surprised by nature a few times.Logo dilemma...kinda like you I lean towards the Jaw logo a survivor of the times...I do like the electric fox,but like you mentioned others who have a fox mascot or logo might get huffy (though yours is unique)You can never make everyone happy.Thanks for sharing and looking out for the Earth..I guess you could ice pick,knife out the center of stalk -cup-bowl project.Maybecrub a bumpy stone around inside to smooth it out or in violation of all things bushcraft...get a drill make holes and section break off the insides.sandpaper the resulting cup .Though not official craft you had to make do.Even up the edges and it could be a small scoopy cup(attach a handle or turn it into a soap dish.., endless choices ahead young one ! Neighbors relatives camped on the most southern part of their property right next to my line. I heard them, told them to play Hendrix or Pink Floyd extra loud. They thought I was coming to complain. They laughed and relaxed. Wind blows from south to north. No problem.

If I may offer some constructive criticism regarding the logos: I believe the skull appears more as a picture than a logo. I understand its significance to you, which is essential. However, as a logo, it might not be readily recognizable to new viewers who might not be familiar with all the Jurassic theme elements and that you found this skull etc. One suggestion could be to simplify it-maintain the same shape but consider editing it to enhance its simplicity.
I'm torn between the two. The classic one is more of a logo but the new one represents you personally more.
I would then keep the skull one but modify it to remove some of the details to make it more of a logo.
I hope that helps with some decision making .

I have some time ago, not lately
It’s a tough choice of logos. I’ve been watching for years and I’m used to the original fix and knife logo which I really like. But being a fossil, dinosaur bones and petrified wood collector, I really like the skull logo too. I’ll make a close pick with the skull as my favorite logo.

I love camping, but I like dome tents you can stand up in. I suffered for years in smaller tents, dressing and crawling around on my knees. A 4-person tent works great. Nice video. Again, my beer of choice

Love the camping videos james! You always seem so cold though in the winter time lol. Suggestion for future videos: might be fun to also incoperate these bushcraft camping vids with some backpacking adventtures and see what works and what doesnt in those scenarios?

I always enjoy your camping and cooking videos. And like your style of camping and enjoying the outdoors. Food always tastes better cooked on a fire in the outdoors. I never cook over flame. I learned long ago that coals are better for cooking, they are hotter then the flames themselves and the heat is more even. I had this drilled into me while growing up in cub and boy scouts. Flames are to unpredictable.

Talking about the logos, I like the original fox slightly better, but I have to say using both is cool because it doesn't feel like one is over used. I think the beanie with the skull looks cool but I definitely would like the enameled mug better with the knife fox logo better.

for the burn bowl, you might have better luck if you scrape out the ashy area between burns, but just expose the area you want to burn more.

Digging a fire pit as well as constructing your usual rock ring decreases chances of fire embers spreading. Using a pre-heated flat rock in the fire center as a cooking surface might also have helped.

I prefer the skull logo. I was stationed at Holoman AFB near Alamagordo like 50 years ago. So a lot of your locations in Southern NM look familiar. Probably went on 6 or 7 trips 5/6 miles south of Alamagordo in the foothills. Also was in El Paso a few times as well.

Sweet... I gotta do me some desert camping, So many things, so little time. I was gonna go around the Gulf to the Mountains just inside the border of Mexico. Had it all planned till Foresty said he was pleased to get out alive and that the cartels would most likely skin me alive and use my face as an angry clown mask. Your desert looks really cool and a little safer than he had me imagining. Might just go anyway, I hear Brownsville is picturesque this time of year. Thanks for the work and the share dude.
