      ***** Or lets give human monsters something than can kill a lot more people, look at countries that have strict gun laws and see how much more peaceful they are. I am glad I live in Canada, I don't have to worry about my kids getting shot up at school.

      You are right mass knifings and beatings are soooo much nicer. And look at the top 10 mass killings. 8 of the 10 are in countries that have much more oppresive gun laws than even Canada. AND 1 of the 10 didn't even involve a gun. But keep your head in the sand and lie to yourself. I'm sure you feel better.

    Came here for the anti-gun comments and how England was superior and all that shit. Was not disappointed. You guys have to be the most arrogant country. "In our country we fight with fists like a man". i swear I read that in a comment. Good luck with that when someone pulls a gun on you or your wife. You think he is gonna set the gun down and fight you with fists "like a man"? Stop being naive. You guys can reply, but I am gonna mute the comment so I don't have to read all the dumb shit people are going to tell me.

    • @SubstanceASMR
      @SubstanceASMR 9 років тому +8

      Dont more people get killed by cars, which are designed just for transport, than guns?. I hear about deadly car accidents almost everyday. A lot of it involving alcohol also. No one is loosing their shit over how deadly cars and alcohol are. Being responsible is what prevents or at least reduces the death toll involving cars, alcohol and guns.

    • @Azoryo
      @Azoryo 9 років тому

      Substance D The thing about cars is that they're not really made to be particulary effective against someone. They are means of transportation, not assault. We hear a lot about car accidents because many people use them and on balance many people tend to be careless. There are however significantly less gun owners and most of them are well aware of the power they're wielding, so there are naturally less incidents and even fewer accidents, because people will rarely shoot at eachother accidentally. Deaths by cars, or alcohol, or both are mostly unintentional while deaths by weapons are not.

    Love my Glock G21 gen 4, I chose the gen 4 cause I’m left handed and it was easy to switch the magazine release. Ran multiple different types of ammo to the old school .45 Fmj to .230 grain hollow points to 185 grain hollow points and brass and aluminum rounds. Probably over 500 rounds and no Failure to feed, jams. First handgun I’ve bought and love it, working to get a glock 17 gen 4 soon.

    In the end you are responsible for your own safety. Which is a scary thought for a lot of people but you cant rely on the government or police to protect you all the time. Plus police usually show up after violent crimes are committed. Not all the time but most of the time. They just make sure the criminal goes to prison.

      @@jrg3213 since I made that comment 5 years ago I had 39 at one point. Sold 8, bought 2. Don't miss those 8. Will probably sell a few more too. Even though I like to stash guns around the house I'm now a believer in owning what I like shooting not what I think is neat or cool. If I don't like shooting it I sell it. A few old guns are cool, but I'd rather have 500$ or a gun I can stash than another drawer gun for show and tell.

    Plenty of extreme opinions here. We are all entitled to our own opinions, folks. Some think guns are bad, some don't. Some think a handgun is fine, but a fully automatic assault rifle is too much, and some feels belted machine guns is too little.

    In no particular order:
    Colt 1911 (in .45 any other caliber is shameful for a 1911)
    Glock 19
    S&W M&P 9
    H&K P30
    Beretta M9

      Disagree on all but the glock 19. If you're choosing a glock 19, all the other 9mm handguns are redundant. the 1911 is for people who are either 55+ year old grandpa, or people who get all their firearm knowledge from the internet. The best 5: Glock 19, Ruger SR45, Beretta 96, Bersa Thunder 380, Kel-Tec P32

    • @DownRangeReviews
      @DownRangeReviews 10 років тому +3

      I respect you opinion buddy, no need to dislike mine. My grandfather (Lockheed) tought me on a 1911, so I guess it can be an "old school' thing, but a Kel-Tec? Not in my house sir.

    I just bought the new Taurus TX-22. It's became my favorite gun!!! This thing will run ANY KIND OF AMMO. I've put over 800 rounds thru it so far, and ZERO PROBLEMS of any kind. Not even a light strike, with the bulk ammo. It even runs Winchester M22 ammo, like a champ. The trigger reset feels like it should cost $1,000. It's simply perfection. I highly recommend it, to anyone looking for a .22 pistol, to practice with. Comes with two 16 round mags. 600 of those rounds were the Federal 550 bulk ammo. But, I've ran basically every brand thru it, without a hiccup. It's amazing!!!!!

  • @rokkinjohann

    Eric, among the 3k responses I hope someone beat me to the punch on this one: the S&W M14 is the Target Masterpiece. I owned one and had it rebarreled with the reportedly last Patridge sighted, .38 cal 8-3/8" barrel in S&W inventory. I believe the M15 is the Combat Masterpiece.
    A bird's head grip is a more profound roundbutt configuration than a typical S&W roundbutt. What you show as the Ruger New Vaquero would classify as a square butt by anyone's consideration.
    Remington Rand was not involved in WWI production of M1911s, the handgun deficit in that fray was filled by Colt and S&W .45 ACP revolvers.
    Keep up the fabulous series 'Gun Gripes', you guys are great with that.

    What is your opinion on the para 1911? I was looking online for a cheap reliable 1911 to start my collection but I had never heard of the brand before. Just want your thoughts on it. I also don't know if it is legal to own here in Massachusetts, do you know if it is or isn't by any chance?

    Walther P22 has been great to teach my children to shoot. It has a small grip, it is easy to operate the slide, and the controls mimic a larger weapon.
    The Ruger Mark III is a great pistol, but is a huge PIA to take down and clean

    I live 15 mins from this shop but I currently go to school in south georgia. I own a Ruger LCP and a Polish p64 which is pretty much identical in size to a Walther ppk. I only brought my p64 down with me to conceal carry when I am not on choice. The one thing I have found is that when I have my LCP it is no problem to throw in my pocket and leave but there are days where I leave the p64 at home because it is harder to carry since I wear very light clothes down here and it ways me down.

    I love revolvers I always have, I prefer shooting them as well. Shooting them is more of an event than with a semi auto. funny thing is I just finally bought 2 revolvers I just haven't picked up from the dealer. I really want a Smith & Wesson model 19 or 586 just haven't been able to find one at a reasonable enough price. Colt Python is the dream but they are so friggin expensive. Was thinking of a King Cobra but heard they were having some issues with the new ones.

    • @ElDuffman
      @ElDuffman 8 місяців тому

      I recommend the 686+ or the GP100. They shoot great and hold 7 rounds. The S&W has the better trigger, but Ruger is cheaper.

    Great video! You do have a point on the Glock 19, which is the easier gun to handle for anyone not familiar with pistols. Great defense pistol!
    A revolver is a great alternative, especially a Smith&Wesson but I would stick with a .38 for self defense. Love the 1911 but well, you would need it might be a little too much as a general self defense gun. Keep up with the good work and don’t forget the Sig Sauer P228 10mm, another great gun. Greetings

    Out of the guns you showcased here I would love to have the Ruger revolver in .357 Magnum and without question the 1911 is my all time favorite pistol, In any caliber. I like the 1911 in .38 Super, .45 acp and the powerful 10mm. For even more power a 1911 in the .460 Rowland would be sweet. I am a 1911 guy for sure.

    Hey how come you guys never talk about .40 or recommend .40 s&w pistols? Just curious I feel like my g23 is great cus I can get conversion barrel for 9mm and I don't feel like recoil is that bad on that cartridge.

    The S & W Combat Masterpiece is the Model 15, .38 Spec. The revolver he was referring to, as both .38 and .357, is/was the Model 19. Got a Model 15 in 1969, still a great shooter.

    The Smith & Wesson Model 10 and model 15 are also .38 special, and also are K frames, to get the .357 Magnum a model 19, which is also a K frame. The heavier frame (L) 586, or the (N) frame model 27, in .357 Magnum.

    Ill go along with a lot of your choices. As fo 22lr I prefer browning buckmarks over the rugers. The ruger single six is a great single action 22 revolver. As for semi auto handguns, the 1911 is a fine gun but I dont like the way they feel in my hand. The cz 75 and eaa witness have the slim slide but has a great grip and run high cap magazine. Ive never owned one of those pocket guns. The ones I have picked up, my last 2 finger are dangling in the air. And last but not least, you cant go wrong with a ruger revolver. I have a gp100 and a super blackhawk in 44mag. Thats just my opinion.

    • @boeing900

      Yup, gotta agree with you on the CZ. I'll take a CZ over a Glock any day. And in a .45, the CZ 97.

      +1 The Buckmark's ergonomics blow the Ruger away. As far as reliability I have no idea witch would win but the Buckmark is much nicer in the hand. I have big hand too and have to cock the Ruger sideways just to function the levers. But both are nice.
