I like having weapons that share as it simplifies ammo storage. 357 guns are great as I can use less expensive .38 special ammo to practice and plink while carrying 357s when it's business time.
I realy like my 308 M1a comp stainless, Browning x-bolt s-stalker and Browning levergun in 308 too.

I LOVE my 1894C. The only problem I've had with it (not the guns fault) was that I lent it to a buddy for a while, never put any form of lube on it and didn't operate the lever fast and straight. He was cycling it slow and torqued slightly to the side. So when I got it back it felt kind of grindy. Pulled it apart and there was so much metal worn off the side of the lever. Hurt my damn heart. Had to order in a replacement and now she's back to her former glory.

    • @adventureinc517

+Michael Wayne Have any idea how many rounds he ran through it to wear it down like that? I havn't had any issues with mine and I've shot it a lot. May be because it's stainless. I havn't paid any attention to how straight I've been cocking it. I do run it fast though.

cool video and I loved your discussion on multi tools! I always have one on me and they come in handy in so many different ways! I got an original Leatherman when I was 12 and spent the next 12 years beating the daylights out of it doing farm work, construction, hunting, factory work and all other kinds of tough jobs. Leatherman warrantied it for me and I still have it and use it when I'm back home on the farm. I also have one of their smaller S2 Juice tools which is part of my EDC and has saved the day many times. Keep it up!

I have a similar story about the larger surefire defender, I was offroading one night in Prescott AZ and got out of my truck and walked around to look at the truck and scenery, and when I looked under the truck I saw something sticking out of the mud (it had been raining for around 3 days before we went out) and sure enough, it was a flashlight, coated in mud, bashed on rocks, probably driven over multiple times, and I cleaned the lens and clicked the tailcap, BAM full brightness lighting the peak across the valley like it was daylight. Maybe its a Surefire Defender thing to be lost and still work well. Great videos guys, keep it up, keeps me a little more sane here in Kommiefornia.

Real world a multi tool is a better option for every day than a knife. I live in the UK though and despite knives being shorter than 3" and non locking is legal real world the Police will still suspect you might carry it for defence which is illegal. So I have a tiny opinel keyring knife, you would not believe how useful it is and how often I use it though.

You are not allowed to carry a knife that doesnt violate your law yet if you carry it because you may at some point need it to defend your life you could be charged with breaking the law? Man, you need to leave and come to the USA.

I carry a multitool, light and karabit knife. If I need a standard knife the multitool has one. I'm in nj so I can't carry a gun. If I could I'd carry aGlock 30s in fall and winter and a kahr pm45 in the summer. Just my 2 cents.

    • @srspower
      @srspower 8 років тому +1

travisp11 Yes in the UK whilst it is technically legal to defend yourself it is illegal to take any precautions for that ie: Pepper spray is illegal.

A revolver can lock up. If sand or grit gets into the lockwork it can lock up the gun. I have had mine lock up at the range, the primer blew out and locked it up tight.

but by and large auto's are prone to those types of malfunctions as well as the ones you just stated.. I have a gp 100 that has never (and I mean never) had any issues with functionality whereas my sig p228 has on occasion (depending on ammo) suffered some failures to extract.. not saying one is better than the other just pointing out another missed positive regarding a revolver as a personal carry

BuckShot Hey man, you said never :P

      Here is a recipe:
      -pencil mustache
-slick your hair to the side
      -wear those 80's/90's saucer glasses
-wear short shorts with a polo
-throw a turquoise fanny pack in the mix that says "Party" in glitter.
-White tennis shoes with white crew socks pushed down towards the ankle so they're all bunchy.
-Hang out by a preschool with one hand in a front pocket and the other holding a camera.
Won't be breaking the law but for fucks sake, I'd be watching the hell out of you.

      +Cat Lubber Recently watched some
ballistic videos on the 9x18 round, was very shocked and it convinced me not to trust the round, personally. The ballistic test involved shooting it against an 8th inch of steel, the round didn't even dent it, it hit the steel and bounced off. I performed worst than .380 in that respect.

Dude at one point I didn't really either, but I moved out into the middle of nowhere. There's no street lights or ambient lighting. It helps to have a small flashlight on you in that situation all the time to help to see my way to the door or check the yard for rouge coyotes

Leave the "combos" to the burger joints; the paranoia of self-defense "experts" would have you carrying 9 tons of crap to "defend" yourself. If ONE GUN can't defend you, then stay away, don't go there, smile, be polite, offer some sexual favor if worse comes to worse...

But what happens if it's just a scuffle that doesn't call for a gun and can be solved with a simple cut of a knife. I don't know if you've ever been cut badly before but it hurts like shit and if someone slit my arm open I would definitely stop fighting long enough that the person could get away from me.
