They go very well and there an empressave motor when they get going. It's about 230 HP around 4000 rpm. This motor isn't chipped. It revs around 1500 rpm at 100 km/h and 3000 rpm at 160 km/h. This 200 series Landcruiser is an automatic transmission.
Alpesh Meghani it can go about 200 km/h. We have had it to 160 km/h with the motor revving at 3000 rpm. The police are very strict here in Australia so we aren’t allowed to drive over 110 km/h on the highway in a 110 km speed limit. We have mainly driven it on sand tracks on Fraser Island and the beach driving. The speed limit on the beach on Fraser Island is 80 km/h. If you want to see how fast they go look up on UA-cam Toyota Landcriuser driving on the German Autobahn.
@@seanzappulla71 Thanks Sean for your reply. I am a Landcruiser fanatic, I am considering buying a 200 series preferably, we get 2 models in Kenya the first having a 230 hp motor with 450 Nm torque and the later having a 270 hp motor with 650 Nm torque from Australia. Therefore I needed a review of how well the 230 motor performs. Curently I have the 80 series which I use for off-road.. It's a 1 Hz engine.. the maximum I have done on it on flat road is 120 kph and on hills it really struggles.
Sean Zappulla I wish we could have that motor in the states over here in USA I dream about that engine! I have an 07 Limited Sequoia 4.7 l v8 ! The motor is very strong and reliable Along with the tranny! 3rd row seat, leather, seat heaters, wood, JBL Audio, and Sun Roof, We can't even get the 79 series of 76 series of land cruise is over here only 200 or the luxury series! It sucks really bad that we can't get them over here! So I sit back and daydream about that twin turbo diesel engine! I would love to get one of them and beef up the with a 4.5L Twin Turbo Diesel engine and chassis from the Tacoma (BEEF IT UP!!) and add Skid Plate Side and Bar Rails! Tow hooks, double batteries, all kind of slide systems in the back of your refrigerator for water on Demand with shower, coolers, Locker's FRONT AND BACK! just the whole shebang! It would sell like hotcakes over here for real!
Thomas Knobf here in Australia we can only get them in a diesel these days. We did had an option of a gasoline or diesel and the diesel out sold gasoline versions. Why don’t import the diesel motor by itself and have a engine swap and sell the gasoline motor. You can do the same with the 4 runner with the Toyota 2.8 litre 4 cylinder turbo diesel motor and that is a fantastic motor. Most 4x4’s here in Australia have 4 cylinder turbo diesel motors. I think one 4x4 has a 5 cylinder turbo diesel motor. You might get a motor from a wreck Land cruiser that has very low Km on the clock. You might have to fly over here to Australia to checkout the motors. They are Euro standards motors. Australia has very strict standards with pollution with motors. The 200 series has calactic converters on diesels. I have had a look under it and I have seen the calatic converter under it.
You can get them from a written off 200 series Landcruiser for the twin turbo motor from here in Australia with low or high km on the clock with low running hours. These motors are everywhere here in Australia. No one here in Australia wants a gasoline. My father brought his 2nd 200 series Landcruiser and the sales guy said they only sell the diesel motors. You can buy a turbo diesel RAV4 as an option. The Gasoline 200 series Landcruiser is built by special order but it’s a long wait and so everyone buys the diesel and a diesel is better to cross Australia with. Everyone that I know that has a 4x4 has a diesel vehicle with long range fuel tanks. The 4x4’s here in Australia comes with a 4,6 or V6 or v8 turbo diesel motors.
My family is going to drive the 200 series Landcruiser to Fraser Island and i'll get some video of the diesel running on the sand and through the tracks on Fraser Island.

Hi Sean
The 230 Hp. How fast can it go? And what's the acceleration like 0-100 kph? And how does it perform on tarmac steep hills?
