Did the turbo fail or the scavenger oil pump? The result will be the same, but replacing the turbo will not fix it if the scavenger pump has failed, which is not uncommon in the 1VD engine.Hope you didn't waste your time... 😱

No you dont, its tight but you can get it through the wheel arch.
is thre other way to remove turbo without the engine??
