I have had to scrap a few cue builds myself over the years for similar silly reasons. Once I put a beautiful purple heart and maple half slice on the lathe backwards on the finish cut, resulting in a very skinny cue with no taper. I still have it. I keep telling myself I can make something out of it. Another nice build sir. Well done.
Wade I have done the exact same thing. Put the cue in backwards. Some cue makers make toilet plungers with their messups. Seeing a half spliced maple and Purple Heart toilet plunger would be amazing.
When a cue becomes a fine art piece. Simply a stunningly beautiful cue. It doesn't matter if you're probably doing processes wrong, you're self taught so there's no right and wrong way, imho, just YOUR way. No one would know looking at the finished cue anyway.
Cue looks stunning for sure. How you got it done with your wife getting sick is even crazier. Didn't find how she got sick, but not our business anyway. Will keep her in my prayers. Hope you continue to grow in your building endeavors and keep up the beautiful work.
You are right about low deflection... and likely right about how they've spun something likely negative (spliced shafts) into what many view as a positive.
Coolest pool sticks of all time on this channel! 🎱🇺🇸 I can watch these videos all day! Minimal sound and subtitles just like every night in bed when my wife is sleeping! 😜 Keep moving forward!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
I’m a avid pool player Who has several friends that make custom cues… I’m Guessing You’ve played some pool in the past. Very nice work ~ and Please Give Your Wife My Best Wish her Health
Thank you ! for sharing your skills and your absolutely fine detail in your work .. The Koi are the bomb ! Along with everything thing else of course.. amazing
Great work! I have thought about trying to build cues but after this video I don’t think I would ever have the patience. Hope your wife is feeling better
Watched this video from start to finish. Incredible! Work of art I wish I could afford to get one made with the akatski clouds throughout the cue with your touch! Keep it up!!!
Beautiful work. I have two Tad cues, 1977 and 1985, bird's eye maple. It's amazing how far the technical side has come. And it seems no one uses Irish linen anymore.
Irish linen does seem to be taking a bit of a back seat. When I see cues with them now, they look dated. Not in a bad way, either. It seems like nowadays most cues have a simple black leather handle.
Best vid on custom cues I have ever viewed.!! Keep up the Pursuit of your excellence in work.!! Keep thinking out of the box.... Your well on your way to being the Elon Musk of the Custom Cue Trade.!!
Reminds me of Richard Black's "functional art" cues. Very well done, very beautiful. And I agree about the radial shafts. I think modern low deflection shafts are carbon fiber, with some hollow sections or light filling material.
What a beautiful cue you have birthed. I would love a cue made from you. I have a design that I have always wanted for many years and I think you would do it justice.
This cue. This cue right here isn't an actual cue. Nope, this is a masterpiece work of art!
The patience you have is unbelievable. Some people are just artists inside and that is you. Beautiful workmanship. Thank you for filming it for us.
Absolutely beautiful!! Hope your wife is feeling better and heals quickly.
Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us.

Simply a stunningly beautiful cue.

Best tip you could put on any cue!! Great work sir 💪🏽
And now I want one alike!!!! You are a Master, and an artist!!!!!
Cue looks stunning for sure. How you got it done with your wife getting sick is even crazier. Didn't find how she got sick, but not our business anyway. Will keep her in my prayers. Hope you continue to grow in your building endeavors and keep up the beautiful work.

Beautiful cue,def worth the whole watch
You are right about low deflection... and likely right about how they've spun something likely negative (spliced shafts) into what many view as a positive.

I think your work is exceptional and I admire your careful planning and thoughtful approach to your builds. I enjoy your videos a lot.
Wonderful cue stick
Epic build ,pain and sorrow into build and awesome in the end ,I too have crashed router on 2 cues ,I know the heartache..
Thank you ! for sharing your skills and your absolutely fine detail in your work .. The Koi are the bomb ! Along with everything thing else of course.. amazing
Love this cue, Im really impressed, i would like to see in black.
You`re right about the endmass and deflection but spliced shafts also provide constant radial stiffness.
Beautiful cue!
Great work! I have thought about trying to build cues but after this video I don’t think I would ever have the patience.
Hope your wife is feeling better
"Ideally, you want to avoid doing this"
Understatement of the century!
absolutely stunning
OMG you are such an artist!
Simply beautiful piece of art
Watched this video from start to finish. Incredible! Work of art I wish I could afford to get one made with the akatski clouds throughout the cue with your touch! Keep it up!!!

Your work reminds me of the new Yorkshire workshop. What you make is different but your skills and humor are very similar.
This cue are insane nice inlays

Magic! Boss job my friend
Wow…this is just mind blowing …nice work
Just amazing brother ! Masterpiece !
You could do really cool shift knobs too. Those would sell. Like crystal clear + pink/green/white, etc flowers.
Best vid on custom cues I have ever viewed.!! Keep up the Pursuit of your excellence in work.!! Keep thinking out of the box.... Your well on your way to being the Elon Musk of the Custom Cue Trade.!!
