Robert Truax proposed a rocket that was almost in the same weight class in real life (though his was a "mere" 18,000 tons). The idea was to save money by building a relative low tech rocket but to give it (greater than) Saturn V payload simply by making it absolutely gigantic. There was no way that KSC could have supported such a large rocket so Truax's solution was to build it in a shipyard and then float it out to sea where it would launch from the water.
A nuclear powered aircraft carrier would have been borrowed from the Navy & the power of its reactor would have been used to make liquid oxygen and hydrogen from seawater on site before the launch. After being fueled up the rocket would be tilted upright and then shot off into space.
This idea seems like something out of Kerbal Space Program, but Truax was an engineer on the submarine launched Polaris missile which was tremendously successful, and feasibility studies conducted by TRW suggested that the idea was fundamentally sound. However, it was an idea that was too radical & the upfront costs too high for it to make it past the design stage.

It slows the game down so the physics checks are spread over a longer time while retaining a high framerate. So basically it's slower, but it's smooth and not laggy.

Should have used Procedural parts, although I assume it was actually the engines causing most of the slow down as even inactive lots of engines on a model seem to slow things down inordinately there is a mod though that will enable you to have multiple engines that are just 1 model to solve that though. It was a mod I used to make a BRF as even 32 engines brought my KSP down to like 3 - 5 fps.
