Her biggest weakness is that she doesn't have a running animation
Bloodborne bosses are like that. Walking towards you menacingly.
From Father G, to Gehrman to Lady Maria. Walking is what a hunter must do,
If you look carefully, Maria has a sprint where she becomes invisible and covers much more distance than a run but she uses this technique only a few times. All the bosses practically have it, some more, some less.
The only real problem with Lady Maria in Elden Ring is two things with her AI: She's meant for a much smaller arena than Elden Ring is used to, and her AI doesn't register projectiles the way it does in Bloodborne, so she'll just tank them instead of trying to dodge at least some of them
Yeah, that's why she doesn't have running animation, well many bosses in Bloodborne don't have one. so it somewhat nerfed her.
But still couldn't fend off godskin duo 😔

I love how Radagon just grabbed Lady Marias head and proceeded to beat the hell out her with the Elden ring like she was nothing 21:18

Even though I was disappointed in maria's AI, it was an entertaining watch, think the problem the AI had was closing distance as her arena is fairly tiny compared to ER arenas, but one of the best runs ive seen!
She was designed to punish player aggression. Even back when she was only fighting Bloodborne enemies in these videos, ranged opponents would massacre her. A lot people have a misconception that she is really fast, but she never was. She's a slow glass cannon with low poise that punishes players by hitting extremely hard with hyper armored attacks that get consecutively harder to dodge due to splash damage. If you use range weapons or learn how to parry her, she and the Orphan of Kos, become some of the easiest bosses in Bloodborne and all of Soulsborne. They will at least be leagues easier than if you try to footsie with them.

@@yannym4605 How is she not fast? Her old hunter's pace is even faster than the player's. Anyway, I don't like the passivity they put on Lady María. Yes, I mean she walks instead of running after us. and be more aggressive, at least if it happened in the second and third phase, also taking its combat speed.
@@yannym4605 I agree, kinda what I was getting into was her AI cant close distance, but for bloodborne she is likely the most fair boss in the game for first timers. ER is just a faster game, but overall it was nice to see maria get a showcase :)
not to mention her ranged moves got debuffed hard.
Taking away her insane poise damage is basically taking away the only chance she has of possibly beating ER late-game bosses.
Do you think Ludwig the Holy Blade would stand a better chance against ER bosses?

@@JoeyCentral Probably not. While Bloodborne bosses can compete health-wise, they lack damage and defense compared to late-game ER.

Was beautiful to see Morgott and Maria entering the second phase at the same time 9:54, both cursed using powers that they themselves disowned, giving their all in a deadly battle, one cursed by a power of blood and life that he rejected and another cursed by the blood that she once worshipped and now pays for a sin she committed to a village years ago. I even find it respectful the way Maria looks at the body of Morgott, an opponent she respects even in death.

it's just gorgeous, now please make Ludwig, the first vicar Lawrence and the Orphan Kos against all the bosses in the Elden Ring or two huge amphibians with an anchor from the fishing village against all the bosses of the Ring

Those two shark men have a better chance than orphan or Lawrence.
Gosh, The sharks in the well are the hardest Boss in the game dude. Whenever I used the Shamon bone blade all their attacks missed each other so they just went back to killing me.
Lady Maria and Mohg was a rather interesting matchup... considering they both use blood attacks.
However mohg is a demigod but lady maria did quite well tbf

The godskin apostles thematic and appearance fit surprisingly well in yharnam like some berserk apostles in Victorian Britain
Hopefully they do get justice afterwards by a boss remake maybe incorporating the matriarch at the second or even make a third phase as a triarchy boss

I would love to see AI npc from other souls game get imported or maybe even regular enemies like lothric knights vs the knights enemies of elden ring in the future.

Lothric Knights vs. various faction knights could be interesting, seeing as the ER faction knights are based on the Lothric ones. See who got upgraded or downgraded between games.

In some souls Lore somewhere in the ether I could see Lady Maria pulling up on Mogh like "What's good Young blood, let's run the ones real quick to see who should be the Formless Mother's rightful heir"
@@linked2dio26 gideon is a joke in almost all of these because he gets pressured and cornered instantly and they dont let up, if you let him start spamming his magic hes a bit trickier, especially for an AI lol
@@pluginpanda Yeah, it worked against Maria because he could constantly stagger her. Most bosses just perma stagger Gideon and poise through his spells. The only notable boss he can also stagger is Malenia
The fact Margit got more damage in than Godrick
I always hated Margit’s balancing because the exact same thing is also the case on a regular playthrough. He’s so much harder than godrick and really dislike that from a game design perspective.

Didn't realize how much damage Radahn's Meteor Crash did until Maria tried to tank. Also, she needs a run animation because get flattened by Rennala was hilarious.

Maria one weakness was lore walking
That’s why they took that away from Radagon. He used to lore walk way more before one of the many patches.

In my opinion what you should have also modded in for Maria is a bleed effect for her phase 2 so that she can take advantage of the blood that's on her blades in phase 2 as well as in her phase 3 her damage shifts to Bloodflame since she doesn't have a cutscene to shift phases like ER bosses and shes a sitting duck and unlike Morgott and Godric when during their shift in phases their get an 80% damage reduction to keep them-self alive while transitioning, that should have been given to Maria... it's a little unfair she has to sit there and take backshots at full or even crit damage level and then after transition all she gets is a damage buff but no added effects like Mohg and his weapon after transition he does bloodflame, she should have had that... later bosses it would help her damage... also bosses that could be parried, you should have let her gun function like it does in Bloodborne and let her parry bosses with it. That is my critizism on the video, other than that pretty good.
nah, it's fine, because she has phase transition damage that takes away a chunk of the enemy's health, like mohgs nihil except worse.

I honestly love bosses that steamroll, nerfing her is understandable, but upsetting.
She shouldn’t have been nerfed here, she is severely outclassed without the poise breaking.

Lady Maria scaling to Morgott sounds about right. He's the last boss that doesn't have the power of a god or over a concept itself, like Maliketh and death. Orphan Of Kos will be interesting.

hey man i really like your videos about seeing how other souls bosses fare in elden ring! can you do one with isshin, the sword saint?
Now I see Morgott and people related to Godfrey have significant moves they share Morgott does his jumping attack like Godfrey does with his axe and Layandell army does the same stomps as him though not powerful enough to make earth crumble into rocks.
Radagon also does simlilar stomp though he uses his holy powers to make it more powerful.

The most exciting thing about these bosses is that it, over time, would REALLY help fix Elden Ring’s biggest issue - the amount of reused bosses. I mean, imagine if every Evergaol was a callback to a boss from earlier in the Souls series? Super cool work you’re doing.
I know it’s probably not being planned, but releasing these as something more modular would be a HUGE help to the community. Having a sort of repository of older bosses that players could put into their mods. It would be a huge help to the community overall.

No surprise that Maria, whose shikai and bankai are blood and fire respectively, got rocked by Mohg, who has ultra high resistance to blood and fire.
Have you even played Elden Ring? Mohg's biggest weakness is blood.
Mohg is weirdly weak to bleed for a boss and character whose whole thing is blood. But, I suppose the Formless Mother doesn't care whose blood it is, just that there is blood.

Was expecting Maria to do loads of damage. The Bloodborne bosses seem to do more damage.

Amazing video even if Lady Maria's design really couldn't stand up to the ER boss design philosophy of float like a butterfly, sting like a truck. I think the poise break of previous videos may have put her on a bit more equal footing by allowing her to get proper hits in, but seeing her beat the early bosses without resorting to blood felt very nice so that was worth it

It would be useless, the problem is that Maria's AI is adapted to bloodborne and a small room. She has a handicap in every possible thing.
She can be easily stunned as well. Her battle is made for you to use as much parry as possible. To make things more fair, the battle would have to take place in a smaller area like the one she fights and they would have to mod her AI to dodge and use her gun to stun enemies like she originally does, but I'm sure that's very hard to accomplish. @@su_patatita_1951

I really wish there was a video online explaining how these bosses are being imported into Elden Ring. The thing i really disliked about Elden Ring was how many times you have to fight the same bosses, (looking at you godskin duo) it would be amazing to import the best bosses from every souls game into all of the reused boss arenas.
All the bosses frome other FS games are in the mod replacing some of the clones ?
It's the first time I really feel sorry for Lady Maria. Against some bosses she had no chance.
