Very good note, about reactions as "a friend in the room" 🤘 I watch reactions for the same reason. There are no people around me who would love ASTERISM or BAND-MAID, so, UA-cam reactors are my only friends 😁
@STRAT! If it ain't beat up,it ain't seen nuthin' yes stankfaces are derpy, thats kinda the point. Uncontrollable if you are really into what you are playing, not an insult.
One thing that often comes to mind when I see them play is that they don't look like kids playing. I recently realized that even though the guitarist is still a teenager, they've been playing together as a band for 8 years already. Someone probably mentioned it before, but one of the biggest influences on HAL-CA, the guitarist, was Akira Takasaki from Loudness. She used to even dress like him 😆 That also explains at least where part of the 80s influence comes from.
You're not wrong. They are phenomenal live. The first full Asterism album 'Ignition' is full of relatively traditional heavy metal like this song and 'Blaze'. Executed at the highest level. Their last two releases, 'GUERNICA' (2020) and 'GUERNICA + a' (2021) are more progressive. That's where 'Church' is from. Their most recent release is a Japanese anime x metal cover album titled "Animetic". You reacted to 'unravel', the Tokyo Ghoul theme song from that EP. They recently posted a live version of 'unravel' with the Norwegian singer PELLEK:
I would not say that we russians are cold people. Sometimes yes, cool, sometimes warm, but generally very hot) Hal-Ca, Mio, Miyu know this and appreciated it, signing all Guernika videos in russian words )
Each of their album has own theme and own "sound color", this youngsters are so creative and productive that is why I really love this band. For example during pandemic, they produce some musics that not included in any of their albums, this is one of 5 songs they made during pandemic: ua-cam.com/video/soyEfpz4sL4/v-deo.html And I still wonder how they "waste" such beautiful music composition like nothing, if its my band, that song will be the main song of an album, LoL
Really a band I should listen more often. They are amazing, but it's far from "easy listening" so when you put them on, it's more of an active listening than a backgroud fun one. And while I can listen to some bands for more than an hour straight, not sure I can with them.
Thanks for doing Asterism reactions. This band need more attention and support.

the derpier the face the bigger the musicians enjoyment.

So happy you are truly enjoying this band…. I’d love to see them live!
If she does'nt like Church...divorce her!
Well, we love our wives often for different reasons than the common music tastes 😂
@STRAT! If it ain't beat up,it ain't seen nuthin' thanks😜🤘

it's giving me dragonforce through the fire and the flames vibes man
This reminds me a little of YYZ. These people rock and will be right there with Rush in a few years.
Also check out D_Drive - The Last Revenge. They are another cool instrumental metal band from Japan.

Would like to watch them play. Maybe you move to the corner?
