Love the hair flowers! I used to collect vintage gloves. I lived in Austria and took public transportation and putting my hands on the same rails as everyone else freaked me out so I always wore gloves. Because vintage ones have more colors I could match my outfits
She must live in an area of great locally owned thrift stores. We only have Goodwill and their prices match retail (literally, they told me thats how they price.).
Awesome haul! I found a black Ciel Chapman cocktail dress (That fits like a glove) thrifting the other week for $7.50! Sometimes you can just “feel” there is something great in a store when you walk in!

You could add a border in red to match the waistband on the Little Mermaid skirt. That's what I do when a skirt is too short. You can add ric ric too, would look so sweet.

The black cocktail dress with the cream-coloured neckline accent was a stunner as well. I like the gadgets you find, and was loving the thermometers. Seems Betty Furness was quite the tv personality back in the 50's. She did a lot of live commercial spots for Westinghouse appliances during tv shows. I learnt something new--thanks!! Take care!

i wandered into the new Goodwill location around Chelsea in NYC, someone hand made a dress and it may be an early 60's pattern and even added a small petticoat into it. I had to save it and couldn't believe my find. Then, a week later my friend gifted me two lace dresses from the 1930s. The pale blue fits me like it was tailored to me! She also added two frail vintage bras which is great to just have for clothing history but would not dare wear. Thank for sharing your stuff, really love the Little Mermaid skirt- finding the hand made stuff is always interesting to me and makes it just the more unique.
I loved all of the nightgowns! The one with the robe took my breath away but the sheer orange one was drop dead gorgeous on you... all of them were stunning. Also, I really liked that purple dress shirt on you. I know it’s likely 80’s but it definitely could pass for earlier. There’s just something about deep purple on redheads ! I have 2 copper moulds hanging on my kitchen wall.One is a heart the other is egg shape.Years ago a person would make jello in them.I was a teen in the early 1960s and I can't tell the difference in the 1950s.When I look at your house it takes me back to the 1960s.I loved that time period.
I love so much of what you found but my faves were the coral nightie, the last one you showed that you said was super seethrough (you have a lucky husband!) So pretty. and also the New Look fitted blazer looks AMAZING on you, the shape of it. In some ways its even better without matching skirt as it accentuates the flare more. That thermometer set was cool too. Oh...and the red gloves. I need to stop or I will end up listing it all heehee
