- I've got a thrift haul for you.......it's a big one! ;)
The thrift gods were smiling down on me again, and I can't wait to show you what I found. Grab some tea, maybe some leftovers, and settle in. It's another long video! I sure hope you enjoy seeing the vintage goodies I found at the thrift store!

Laci - Навчання та стиль
Laci, I could not believe it when you held up the Paper Doll Wedding, Little Golden Book. I was born in 1972 and had this book. It was one of my favourites when I was 3-5yrs old. I loved the dresses that the girls wore in the story. I’m fairly new to your channel and videos. I just started watching in the last month. You keep me company while I am sewing quilts to preserve my sanity during COVID. Love your vintage. Keep being you, and thank you for keeping me company.
Every time you do a thrift haul all that keeps playing in my head is "Where does she even LIVE?!?!?" Thrift and antique stores literally pepper the downtown area of my town. They're all beyond over-priced, and contain about 85% antique farm equipment. Like are you just an actual goddess as well as being a Disney Princess, or do you live in Thrift Mecca?
I was just thinking the same thing!!! Here in Colorado Springs, that one kitty would be over $50! I’m so jealous of her thrift store options!!!
I really like listening to your videos.. I am a senior citizen and your sweet soul comes across on your videos.. I bet your mom has a lot of fun hanging out together and doing all the thrift store trips 😊
The kitty's ball changes color with the weather. I saw them when I was a girl, so it may be from the 60s. You find the best stuff! Congratulations and thank you for sharing.
Oh! Haha thank you! I haven’t seen it do anything yet. Hopefully it still works!
I think we put them in a window. We had one where the ears changed colors.
I think the kitty statue is made from a salt that reacts to moisture in the air.
Laci Fay The Vintage Girl Next Doo
I have a few vintage “weather” postcards that have a fuzzy part of the picture treated with a chemical that changes color with moisture. Over time the chemical can lose its power, but sometimes they still work!
I had that Mary Poppins album when I was a child ! My sister and I played it over and over and read the book that went with it ! Such a great memory !!
That green velvet dress is stunning! Pretty sure it’s bespoke to to the detailing… which makes it even more special!
I just keep watching your old videos because I love them. You are simply the best!
I love the Holiday dresses, especially the white/gold dress! And I love the spring flower dress! And all the non-clothing items too! :)
I had a dream the other night where you gave me your wardrobe. I woke up sad, but then I realize that every time you make one of these videos, you really DO give us all your wardrobe!
That teal floral dress is smashing on you! You have an incredible eye for clothes shopping !!
Oh my gosh! That green dress...swooning! And you look amazing in it!❤
Oh the Kitty weather changer... I had them when I was a kid... the sparkly stuff that looks white, changes colours to the weather out side.... Mine only did 3 colours Pink for {I cant remember } cloudy blue for sunny green for rain , something like that. eventually they do stop working ... But how wonderful that you found one...
I love how you find the very best things!!! You look so beautiful in all of them, thank you for sharing.
Absolutely love the emerald green dress!!!!!
You're so good at doing the 50s style modeling, that green dress might be my favorite 💐
I love the first outfit, as well as the yellow and the blue blouses. Such pretty colors!
The shoulder pads give that blue dress the 40’s look, love it.❤️
Wow! So many wonderful treasures. I always love watching your vintage hauls. You are the vintage shopping queen! I can’t believe how cheap those beautiful treasures were! That 8os sweater is amazing too! I love it! XX
I love your brooch, I have collected vintage brooches for years, the more rhinestones the better!
That green and the gold dress looked amazing on you! 💛💚 you should do a video on the vintage clothes you make.
I loved the kitties and poodle! The red vase was awesome!
Darling poodle, great catch.💜💜💜💜Absolutely couldn't leave the red glass, wow!
Oh the blue 80's dress! I think it's more 40s love it. 💖
It's so good...lol. I luv that line!
I’m glad you bought that beautiful vase. I remember seeing a Murano Glass Fish sculpture from the late 50s early 60s for 50.00 at a thrift store; and thought it was way to expensive. To this day I think about it from time to time and regret not buying it.
Oh my gosh , what a trip down my memory lane, i had those ornaments with the 3 baby’s changed to the mummy.
I enjoyed this video so much. I have never seen such a large glass piece like that before. I truly believe that you got a great deal on it.
I’m so glad you enjoyed!! Me either! I’m glad I grabbed it.
Gold accessories with the green velvet would be stunning. Can you tell, a I am binging you today!
Ohhh, love the yellow. I have a yellow baret! You look adorable. I have every color beret..... I’m going to pull them all out and match. I think I even have the yellow long gloves. Thanks for all the ideas. I just love your style!
Everything looked fabulous on you! That yellow sweater with the purple skirt...absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks so much!! Ahh yay!
My uncle had a portable stereo turntable with removable speakers. I remember seeing it way back in the 60s I think. He passed in 2012 so now I have it. It works good but I sold all my LPs a few years ago.
You got a great deal on the big orange swung vase. Its beautiful!
Love all the items you got, especially the grey vintage cat with the sparkly blue eyes!!! I also love cats; any thing cat related I must have! 🐈 And I love how your kitties just randomly pop up! Too cute! Thanks for sharing your lovely hauls; makes me want to go thrift store shopping so bad!!! I also have a collection of modern vinyl and I'm saving up to buy a good but not too expensive record player. But I do have 2 vintage vinyls that were gifted/record store bought though.
Thank you!! Oh yes! I must get all the kitty things!! 😊 hopefully you can go thrifting and find some treasures soon.
Those pictures of you in the mustard sweater are gorgeous!
All the items... What great finds!
Ahhh! Great deal on the pumpkin blow mold!
wherever you live, you have so many great vintage finds....where I live everything is picked clean. It's so hard to find stuff before the dealers get at it.
Always enjoy your videos Laci, but your thrift hauls are my favourite! A little jealous of your poodle, I collect 50s kitsch poodles and that one ticks all the boxes! Awesome green velvet frock too, just gorgeous! X
Ahh I’m so glad you like them! That poodle was a super lucky find! I’m excited about her!! Thanks so much!!
I'm a nurse and hooked on your channel after working the nightshift, I watch your videos to relax before bed.
I'm new to your channel & I'm hooked. I'm a mid century baby '64 & so many of the things bring back memories. The Mary Poppins ready along book & record really took me back. My parents enrolled me in the Disney club & I'd receive a new album every month my favorite was the Aristocats. Please keep the videos & hauls coming.
Laci I totally got a soap dispenser just like that for $.75! I also love my old records. I get them out and play them especially at Christmas time.
That Lazy Bones dress is an Aussie brand!! Normally SO expensive! When I found you I thought of their dresses straight away! So glad you found this!
Oh awesome!
I know this video is a year old, but every time i watch your videos i am like... ooohhhhhhh, my grandmother is a historian, and she has roleplayed at Museum for years, from 1800s to 1950, and her house burned down a few years ago. There was so many patterns, she had historical hats and many outfits. I love seeing the simplicity patterns .. im crying
Wow! I am soooo envious doll, beautiful finds! I’m off thrifting tomorrow so thank you for sending positive ‘thrifting vibes’ my friend 🙏
Those dresses were divine, especially that green velvet number 🥰
I will keep my fingers crossed for a vintage record player to come into your life! 💋 😘 xx
Oh yay!! I hope you find some treasures! Thank you friend!!
Excellent finds!!! That 80s dress already have 40s vibes, I would consider keeping the shoulder pads. 😊👍
I love the mint green sweater with the white collar!
First off, your hair looks so gorgeous!
I just love you thrifs hauls. They are so much fun to see your treasures. The cream and brown dess is my favorite clothing piece, then the leaf blouse and shoes. The poodle is my absolute favorite now clothing. Oh sooo cute.
I pray you and your family have had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoy them!! Some lucky finds for sure. Thank you!!!
Love your style and joy at things you find. Just discovered this channel.
Wow I can't believe how you find great items like these from thrift stores and garage sales!!
I had some of those weather knick knacks. They used to change color with the weather but the coating came off over the years.
"I just couldn't leave him behind." This is the existential reassurance I didn't know I needed.
The last comment is correct. It is a Barometer Kitty, The ball is treated with something that changes color depending on the weather.. They came in various figures/animals etc. My Mon used to buy them for us as kids in the early 60s at F W Woolworth and S S Kresge . Great find!
We don’t have DI here in MN. We have Goodwill and a few other random thrift stores. Goodwill charges a premium for their items, I honestly don’t think they ever put out vintage dresses, and they are inflexible with discounting stained items. I love everything you found, so beautiful! The dresses are amazing.
Ah that’s too bad!
I worked at the Minnetonka Goodwill and anything remotely dirty that couldn't be cleaned in about 50 seconds was trashed. They are a pretty terrible company nowadays.
How funny! The paper doll wedding book has my name in it! Mary Beth. A name I don’t hear very often 😁. So awesome!
I had that very same Mary Poppins record as a kid. "Chim chim cheree" was my favorite song! Listened to that one on repeat. Also. " Spoonful of sugar". 🙂
You are just the cutest! Loved your finds and would love to see more of your thrifting videos. Also love the pretty kitty!
You’re so sweet thank you!! So glad you enjoy them! 😸
All of thoes dresses you tried on looked amazing ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great haul. Binge watching your videos all afternoon. Lol 🙂 The blue 80s dress would look more 50s with a white belt and cute brooch.
Laci, I have the whole set of Disney albums that include Mary Poppins! I would spend hours listening to them as a child.
You can use the iron on more than once. Also you can use carbon paper and a little tool to make lines on your material once it runs out of transfer ink. Yes more thrift please
I love everything, what fun.We don’t get beautiful things like that at our yard sales, your so lucky. I really like your videos they are so fun. 😊 ❤️🌹❤️
That vase is an LE Smith Simplicity Vase in a pineapple cut. The color is FLAME. It's worth over $60! Great find!
Oh nice! Thank you!
You're most welcome! I'm a huge collector! The blue ones are made by Viking. The big one is Epic Column and the smaller one is Epic Drape. Your Amber bud vase is also Viking, however the Hobnail one was made by Fenton. They are Swung vases. Stretch glass has very fine stretch lines. Swung vases were put in a mold, then removed and swung back and forth by the artist so no two pieces are the same. ❤❤
Laci that green satin dress! 😍 oh my goodness! Droooool! 😍
Right?! I love it! Now I need a holiday party to wear it to!
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor When you posed in it you looked just like a picture I've seen of my grandmother looking foxy in the 40's. I hope you had a chance to fix the seams. It is gorgeous.
The green dress horrible
Oh my word! Such a good haul! The shoes and Mary poppins record! Would love a how-to video of your dress alterations or how to know which pieces are vintage and how to identify which era they are from!
Yes! Thank you!! Sure I will put both of those ideas on my list.
Loved the haul loved your cats too they are adorable love dresses and red stretch glass hugs and love
Oh my gosh... each one is a gem... then another and another...on and on and on! All so gorgeous!
And the mens western shirt...score!
AND the shoes! Ahhh!
😊
Love the green floral dress! You will get a lot a wear out of that in the summer! 😊
Me too! Oh for sure.
Vintage Halloween is supposed to be highly collectible, so when you run into things like that, it seems like a great idea to buy.
Whoa! You find amazing stuff! I'm crazy about the green dress and the blow mold. Great finds. I love your reprint patterns too. I like that they offer more sizes, and are less fragile than originals. I wish you luck finding a record player. I see them fairly regularly on Facebook marketplace.
Thanks so much!! Some lucky finds for sure. I appreciate that! Hopefully one will come my way soon!
I had that dress in royal blue! I found the shoes to match. The teal dress with the matching belt.
I see you got one for X- mas. I got a Crosley record player several yrs. ago and like you I bought so many 50- 60s records I love them!! I just love that 50s dreamy orchestra music❤👍😎
You find the best items!! 🤩❤️🙌🏻
Thank you!!
The blue swung glass you have I believe is Viking and the red swung glass is by l.e Smith I believe the color is called amberina persimmon because of the yellow around the edges.
excellent haul, Laci.
OMG I really loved your video! My hobby is embroidery and when you show the embroidery stuff I literally screamed with excitement! 💕
Oh fun!! I’ve never really gotten into it, but I do love to crochet!
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoorYou should try embroidery!✨
I love your videos, you are amazing! Greetings from Mexico😘💕
You found some very pretty pieces.. the Down East Dress, the Green Satin Dress and the Green Velvet Dress .... truly beautiful x x
Thank you! Yes I’m excited to wear them!
Re: the iron on embroidery patterns. Their usability depends on how old they are. The ink will deteriorate over time, and I have some from the 50's which no longer are usable. Generally speaking, in good condition you can often get 2-3 uses from each. Don't overlook the newer embroidery pattern companies that make "atomic" or "retro kitty" embroidery designs. There are also books of simple embroidery patterns which can be traced with an iron-on pen onto tracing paper and have a very vintage vibe.
Great finds!
Love the 2 gold dresses
I had the Mary Poppins record when I was a kid. Nostalgia!
I've got Alice in Wonderland and Lady & the Tramp.
Sweet finds friend!! From clothes to home, omg so many goodies😍
Thank you friend!! #cantstopwontstop
Me and you would have so much fun, I also have a huge collection of cat figurines, I always had cats in my home. Like seeing your cats, I miss mine so much, I enjoyed this video very much.
That vase was gorgeous, well worth the 35$😁
To be honest I'd probably be okay wearing that green velvet dress for the rest of my life 😂😍
Eep! The Halloween jack o'lantern light is the cutest!
Re:the cat figurine, I guess the ball of yarn probably used to change colour; I had one similar as a child, I remember those kind of souvenirs still being around in the late 80s/90s, as you said they changed to blue for good weather and purple for rain, i.e. mine was perpetually purple because my seaside town is always humid!
Hope you had a lovely thanksgiving! x
I mean I guess if I had to wear one dress for the rest of my life, that wouldn’t be a bad one. 😂
Thanks! I loved having that on my porch for Halloween! That’s fun about the kitty. I’m going to have to keep a closer eye on it! I haven’t noticed anything so far and we had a big snow storm today.
Happy thanksgiving!!
