I’ve been dressing and decorating pre 1950s since the early 70s! Back in the day when every thing was made to last and fashion was actually ELEGANT!!! People used to make fun of my clothing in the late 60s , early 70s because I dressed head to toe 1910-1950! I no longer dress head to toe, but almost always have a piece of those days somewhere on my body! Love it!

As a 17 year old, i dress in suits and everyday clothes from the 30s
I get alot of mocking comments by passer by's but i love it when people actually find it interesting and compliments

I dress formally, but I don’t have anything vintage, before now I never really throughout about it, but that’s a wonderful way to express yourself, I hope your collection continues to grow.
Just make sure it’s matched and tailored to your shape! Nobody will mock an expensive looking person, even if their outfits are from another era.

I, too, love vintage clothing and have worn pieces for many years. But, not to the extent that you are. I love that you appreciate the quality and beauty of vintage. You naturally have a feminine look from that era and your clothing looks fabulous on you. Kudos to you for owning who you are and what you love and not following what others do!!

I’d say mostly Stevie and Anita ,there was a time, I was into Sharon Tates look ….though it wasn’t really my bag.
I’m very boho chic vintage style. I’m not a label” chic unless it’s my fave Free People” they are very boho comfy to wear I recommend them to anyone.

Awe I too started collecting because my father would love going to flea markets aka swapmeet he passed away in 2020 at the peak of covid yes from complications he passed away one month before the first vaccine came out anywho I still go to the swapmeets thanks to my father whom got me hooked 😂.

Honestly I love the look.
I don’t dress in precise imitation of a particular decade, but in my own interpretation of men’s styles from the 1930s and ‘40s mostly, to perhaps the early ‘50s. What amazes me is the number of people who come up to me on the street or in stores, all races, both men and women, often people a lot younger than me, and tell me how much they like how I’m dressed. I think there’s a hunger for classic styles, a sort of desire to get away from the t-shirts, sweatpants, flip flop sloppy look.
I love the style of 30s to the 50s however I can’t wear it because it’s not to my taste in the ways of clothing but I love the decor of the era

I started wearing like from 1930 when I was 15 and i am 42 now. Everyone started me outside and I stopped because I thought people were disturbed by me.
Please pick it up again....people today dress like trash....the world is in need of more proper elegance from the past !
I dress in my own version of mostly ‘30s and ‘40s. Only some of it is actual vintage, but I also buy new things that are classic styles that haven’t changed much, if you know what to look for. (Maybe that’s easier for menswear, I’m not sure.) People frequently stop me to say how much they like how I’m dressed, both men and women, often young people much younger than me. White, black, whatever. It always surprises me and it always makes my day! You should consider going back to it if it’s what you love.

Well it’s basically way more fun! I’m quite a skinny tall person and would find it far easier to just wear dresses all the time and cute buckle flat shoes rather than spending my life searching for jeans that fit properly and trainers that don’t look manly on me! 😂

3:00 “everything was so glamorous”? Girl, people wore the same clothes for years, cooked their repetitive bland food at home, and mostly went to work - and did not have a choice in the job most of the time. Most people weren’t living like superstar actresses!
I also like vintage clothes but I sometimes worrry about the energy they carry. If that means anything to you it wod be advisable to do a spiritual cleanse on the stuff before you wear or put them in your house. Even a small prayer may do the job

I dont really think she LIVES every day like it´s the 1920s. She DRESSES like it´s the 1920s! Huge difference!!! If she lived in the 1920s she would have to deal with missing equal rights, wars, prohibition and many other things you don´t want to miss today! Sure, not everything was bad in the old days, but it was not completely perfect!
