You're wrong. I think it's because of something to do with your socioeconomic/race/sexuality/political views/age. I am clearly right, unlike you, because my opinion is better.
This is low tier British backyard engineering from someone with your background. Allen Millyard would have bought two V10s, cut 6 cylinders off one with a literal hacksaw in his shed, welded them together into a V16 and had it running smoother than the original. He already put a V10 in a motorbike.
But MAB! Fight time: the brake lines were not an exact replicator ;) Thanks for sharing and great to see the Pootan overlanding, albeit within the confines of the factory.
Great content and great progress. Also, took me ages and possible repetitive strain injury to pause frame my iPad to capture the subliminal cow girl picture you added 😂
I drove a Ford Nissan Patrol once. Firstly, Toyota would never rebrand a Landcruiser. The Patrol was terrible. No suspension travel. Then the bonnet flew open and tried to kill me. I think this motor should have been put into a 70 series.
So when you referred to the regs for clearance of the steering knuckle I wondered which regs apply to the donk - the Nissan era regs or the Touareg era regs and was that a factor when you decided on the conversion?
Tbh they're mostly the same. Post 1989 is all the same. As for the engine swap, the engine is technically just a part. It's only emissions that need to equal or exceed the old engine.
I'm going to "fight you below and tell you you're wrong"... I dont think the section of brake line which you have created to span the gap between the body and chassis is going to be flexible enough my man. The curly noodle style which the factory came out with would have been much more... flexible. I would consider recreating the standard part by curling some line around a 50mm tube say, 10 times etc. Anyway, no hate, just my humble opinion.
There is not one comment on this video that could start a 25 reply argument. The algorithm must have blood.
There absolutely is. Go cause havoc!
Just adding a second to this one

The "Murder She Wrote" music over the lathe work is hilarious 🤣👍👍
@@gafrers hahaha, I thought I was the only old enough to pick that. It was a surprise to me too.
“Shut up, you dickhead” ahahahahaha so good dude, great watch 🙏🏻
Thanks mate. Let's hope it stays on 4 wheels when it's done 😂
@@ridiculousthings4x4haha I’m sure it will, can’t blame that on the car that was fully my fault 😂😂

Geez mate. Ur moving on up when u get Tim’s approval. As u were!👍🍻🎯🇦🇺
You remind me of that guy who was building a td42 twin vnt turbo patrol and then mysteriously disappeared.
I'm all about it dude haha
Funny you should mention that. I spoke to him a year or so ago, but we live too far apart for a Collab
I know the dude who owns that same Ute haha
Wow V10 patrol looking forward to seeing this blasting down the road!
Congrats on reaching such a significant point in the build. The worms audio brought back childhood memories; going to go download it now. HAHA thanks
Great episode, good to see it moving. Cant wait to see it on the road. Good work.

There are 85 comments and 4x4 Engineering man has liked every one of them. Except this one.
I have hit a nerve.
You never disappoint excellent as usual keep it coming😅😅😅😅😅😅
I also have a v10 tdi so I understand why you would go these lengths. awesome video series!
“Shove the shaft into the hole”. Hmm I hope it fits ok. 😂😂
Original intro, awesome. Sweet ride bro
i'm impressed. congratulations.
Awesome vid as always. I was cheering for you when it moved under its own power! Love your attitude, cant wait for the next vid.
It totally happened first take and the shot of shifting from P to D wasn't a break point...
You've got your own style. Lol, work you show is top shelf.
I 🥰 V10 TDI Sound !!!!

Great video... Always funny in a weird way 😅
Awesome. It's getting closer to being on the tracks.
Pootrol life beckons.
Looks awesome man
Hopefully we see those wheelies you planned for this beast to do next video
Bloody awesome mate
Awesome video man just found your channel today
Great job keep up the good work
Recently found the channel and love the vids! Reminds me of original project binky. Keep it up 😃
All that binky with none of the views 😅
Just for fun I was hoping you were going to tromp it and explode a Cv
Awesome job on the lathe 👍

That ain't a cowgirl son 😏😏
Tiny texie, damn your dark in all the wrong ways 😅
It lives!!
Also, it sounds amazing 🤩. Probably due to having no mufflers and being inside a large shed. But still! 🎉
It definitely rattles fillings when you're stood next to it. Who needs mufflers anyway? Oh yeah HWP :( and I guess me as a result of that
Murder she wrote music if I’m not mistaken. Nice except for the realisation that I’m old 😂
Don't worry, me too ...
@@marks7120 Spot on.

Your copper brake lines will work harden and crack with all that flexing.
Next build: v12tdi swapping a landcruiser. 😂
Fkn loved WORMS
There's a pill for that

exciting times!
Interesting stuff
You got a licence for those guns mate
Licenced to thrill
Would still need a torque wrench doing up the harmonic balancer bolt, other wise those guns would snap it clean off.
Love ya vids mate n glad she's coming along...........so shut up😂
You shadduppp

Different methods same result. As I mentioned, Toyota does bends like I did on the V8, I assume for the same reasons as I did
A V10 Jimny would be cooler….but this will do for now.
Whoopi, gay stick and Pooten😂
By the look on your face you chubbied up over the first drive,we'll done bro
You funny little you
For aV10 it don't go so fast?😜
"it was in low range"
I say it wouldn't do a jump, or a shop skid
It'll skid like a kid in jeans on a polished floor soon enough
you're wrong
Ok
You are both wrong
You stretched your stick 😂 Amateur!
