While that's correct in regards to VVG turbos, in reality its rarely the case. In regards to the side steps, bin the lot! The brackets are thin dogshit and always rust out. Get some ARB sidesteps if you want something decent

Being a shorty chance of needing sliders maybe minimal, unless you plan to bend panels in ridiculous 4x4 situations. Those factory brackets probably look good with Ridiculous v10 or MAB plasma cut into some 2mm plate matched to bulbar or bumper color.
