@@TheOutFit I have no idea but I am going to guess Cummins 4bt, although it looks a bit small for a 4bt. I hope you do the engine swap soon, good luck.
The built came out amazing. I have been watching from the start and it looks great. You have beaten Jon and Jessica at TBT by about an episode by the looks of it. I look forward to seeing some of your adventures now.
Thank you so much Paul! We're not in a competition with those legends. But don't forget that Chris completely rebuilt the entire brake system, the transfer case and all three axles as well as other mechanical work on a 50 year old vehicle on his own 😅
Welcome up north, the snow hasn't showed itself down by the coast yet, but Kiruna and the surroundings have snow. Also, trucks in Norway are supposed to have snowchains available. (Those boxes between the rear wheels are used for that!)
You have done an amazing job on the Tgb 13. But I must give a little credit to the people at Volvo who constructed these Tgb’s a long time ago. Given that the original parts had lasted so long 😳 Great job 💯‼️

what a great build guys ,outdone yourself their chris i reckon better than the mog .cant wait for the first shake down trip .enjoy stay safe and keep warm
Mog was like version 1. TGB 6x6 is like Version 2 but a LOT more compact. I still like the Mog for having more space but I feel the suspension on the Mog needed work.

Might want to think about putting window screen between the grill and radiator. I will keep insects from impacting/Imbedding in the fins preventing air flow and rock from hitting the radiator. I will allow your radiator a longer life.
if you run a really thin film of some vasaline or similar over your gaskets it keeps them supple ,doesn't harden like most rtv type sealents, and if you ever get caught out and have to remove any they won't stick or tear so can be reused in an emergency.
It is not only the radiator Chris, the coolant must circulate to coole the engine down and that is the problem in my opinion. I put a circulation pump in my Volvo Amazon and the cooling problem was over. Correct me if I 'am wrong.
for you new box, to stop it sliding around, get some velcro tape and use the hook side only and stick to the bottom of the box. it will grip the carpet and keep it in place. for the bike lock. avoid the cheap combo lock ones. there is no strength in them and are easy broken with out tools. get a steel cable style one. or if you can't find someone to make a length up with a couple loops for a padlock, but run it through a length of rubber hose first so it doesn't rub on things.
