    Tom Keifer WAS Cinderella. Over 7,450,000 albums sold. Top of his fame he wakes up with an unremarkable left vocal chord paralysis.
    He has a great "rags to riches to rags" story and a fantastic attitude about it. Life is a roller coaster ride.

    These hair bands were much better musicians than people give them credit for.

    • @shane8915

      I agree! But, also disagree. Just SOME hair bands were great musicians. Others were exactly what they were accused of being.

    • @ssRocker-nn3tp
      @ssRocker-nn3tp Рік тому +5

      Yes. They were really good musicians in general. DOKKEN, RATT, WINGER. WARRANT, FIREHOUSE. To name a few. The problem was: there were too many bands playing this style of music. And in the end they all sounded the same.

    • @erikthompson619
      @erikthompson619 Рік тому +3

      @@shane8915 Wrong. MOST hair bands were great musicians. The ones with lesser playing chops were the exception, not the norm. And even they often had something worthwhile to compensate, like Poison, though that strictly speaking is another topic.

      @@ssRocker-nn3tp I’ve heard stories that Warrant in particular used studio musicians for the lead guitar and I know Cinderella used a different drummer on the recording of the Long Cold Winter album. I saw both bands live though in the 80s and they were good enough to my ears.

    Hair bands in the 80s wanted to put on a fun show, so if you went to a live performance, you got to see something spectacular. They figured that if you just wanted to hear music, you could listen to records, tapes, or CDs. You go to a show for something you can't get on your home stereo.

    You need to hear: GYPSY ROAD, NOBODY'S FOOL, FALLIN APART AT THE SEAMS, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, SHELTER ME, HEARTBREAK STATION, and STILL CLIMBING is a great underrated song too!
    Tom Keiffer has solo work he's put out too after the decade of recovery from his vocal problems and he's still got his voice, he just has to be more careful with it. For that try COLD DAY IN HELL or AIN'T THAT A B. ;)

Wish they would learn form the good things then to implicate them for these days. Less hatred & crimes, better prosperity & probabilities! & Better music❣️Tis the world i keep praying for again!
      Wish they gained more longevity.
      Anyways; Glad these YT methods are helping them & others to respread. Great when great music get shared for those who sadly missed them first time around. I've seen Cinderella live 4 times. They are awesome live performers. One of those 4 was at a smaller venue (maybe 2-3 hundred) with great acoustics. For the finale, they had one of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd on stage with them. They invited the crowd to join them on stage (about 1/2 did) and they did American Pie with everyone singing along. A very great memory of mine.

    very cool that you've gotten around to listening Cinderella - Shake Me. I remember this and getting the casette(back then). I'd consider Cinderella one of the underrated bands back then - along with Kingdom Come. The way I remember it was people were scared off by the Motley Crue and Ratt bands. Cinderella wore those clothes, and certainly made a little bit of a glam rock heavy metal album. But, they actually brought in a blues/rock element to Heavy Metal.
    Cinderella's Nightsongs and Whitesnake's 1987 albums combine blues with Heavy Metal, in a way that hasn't been done much since imo.

    The best concerts were the 1980’s into 1992 glam bands RATT Motley Dokken etc girls everywhere the venues smelled like weed, the parking lot party started hours before the concert…just hanging with you friends smoking drinking etc car stereos blasting great times…

    Cinderella started out as a full hair band basically playing the same kind of stuff everyone did back then, but on later albums their music became bluesier and more like Aerosmith & the Stones. Some of the later stuff is my favorite of theirs.

    The videos on the first album had the two bad sisters and the "cinderella" theme.
    Shake Me was the first video single off the album NIght Songs, so if you wanted to watch the "video release" order, then you should watch Nobody's Fool next, then Somebody Save Me.

    Was not into Glam rock much but definitely liked Cinderella because of the blues groove they always had, that and Tom Kiefer could write a damn good song.

    Another great band from this era that was very underrated is KIX, they have some great songs you should check out, Blow My Fuse, Cold Blood, Get It While It's Hot, Don't Close Your Eyes, Same Jane, Hot Wire, Girl Money, and there is many others. You will enjoy KIX, there songs have great hooks.

      @@swcoder true, but I think if reactors would do the official videos, or audios of Kix, like they did with Cinderella and others, they would get alot of views, because Kix has alot of songs with great hooks, and are better than alot of the songs from other bands of that era, and would appeal to alot of the subscribers of their channels, as well as the yonger generation who would here Kix, and say man this is different, from alot of the bands of that time, and just the pure straight up sound.

    Somebody Save me, is an awesome song by Cinderella check it out if you could. I saw them in the mid eighties when they opened for Poison. They were both new-ish bands but the concert was amazing. Tom Keifer is a hell of a front man/singer and guitarist. Very talented band all together. RIP Jeff LaBar, the lead guitarist in this video always flipping his guitar. His Ex wife Gaile found him dead on July 14, 2021 inside his apartment in Nashville. He was 58
