We had a hell of a decade as teens in the 80s !
Other bands were bigger and more successful but Cinderella perfected the sound of the genre. Tom, lead singer, is a vastly underrated and overlooked songwriter. Interesting band to explore as they evolved their sound from album album delving into blues, country, folk etc while retaining their hard rock roots. Glad you enjoyed this song it is considered one of their best.
Well the band's that came in the later 80's didn't really have much time before rock n' roll was permanently banned.
Long Cold Winter… one of their absolute best Albums.

Back in my high school cruising days, Cinderella was a go-to. They do some of the best ballads ever. My favorites are "Don't know what you got (till its gone)", "Nobody's Fool", "Coming Home", and "Gypsy Road"

Love Cinderella. I saw them in Lexington, KY in like 87.In 8th grade so my friends mom was awesome and took us.They opened for Bon Jovi and about stole the show,so good live back in the day.
Saw them in concert in 1990. The lead singer came down from the top of the arena playing a white piano. His voice is one of the most powerful voices ive ever heard live. They are actually better live.
I got to see Cinderella in three different decades and they are still one of the best Live Rock bands I ever saw and I've seen many..
At the end of the video the two guys that the twins are running to are Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi. They discovered and/or helped Cinderella get a record deal. Those girls are in several videos representing the evil step sisters from the fairytale. I love your reaction videos!! And your bangs!!! 😊

We all had our favorite hair metal bands of that era. My favorite of the time was Warrant. Jani Lane was an incredible songwriter and front man. Unfortunately, he passed from alcohol poisoning. It's rumored he was sexually assaulted by a famous musician and his manager when he was new to Hollywood. He never got over it and drank. My favorite song of theirs is Stronger Now. I also love Heaven, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Sometimes She Cries, I Saw Red, Indian Giver and many more. I can only imagine the songs he could have written.
The truth came out for him. That's very very sad. May he have found his peace.

One of the soundtracks of my life. I never imagined that some day in the future 80's Metal would be reviewed like some kind of amazing relic from ancient history . But this was our music. We didn't just play it. We lived it. ( Class of 1988)
This is my absolute favorite Rock Band ! They just happened to have incredible hair like most bands back then did too. I love lots of bands from back then but these guys are still the best concerts I’ve ever seen. First time was such a surprise, opening for Bon Jovi. I think I saw one video of them during college before that but after that concert I was forever changed. Just Amazing…and seen them a few times since 🤩

Jon Bon Jovi had a hand in getting Cinderella a record deal. They even took them out on the road as a support act for their first major tour.
I’ve never looked up the lyrics but I always thought it sounded like he says “out of my tree” too. It’s a saying but it doesn’t really fit in with the lyrics so I wondered…

Yes, I saw them in the 80s in Wyoming opening for Bon Jovi - the whole city of Casper and probably the whole state was there and next day at the mall everybody was wearing a fan shirt.
While I just came into town to visit my brother. But it was an added plus.

Cinderella never got the success their talent warranted. The era required that they be marketed like a hair metal band, which they never really were. They just played awesome bluesy rock & roll.
They dropped that keyboard player with a quickness.

Oh lawd, this was one of my very favorite bands back in the day! Still are!! Talk about PDC, 🤪 I was madly in lust/love with Tom Keiffer!! Shoot, many years later, I still am! ❤ Of course, being a musician, nowadays I admire his musicianship a lot too, but back then, I couldn't get past the sultry mouth and "come hither" eyes... I saw them live twice and thoroughly enjoyed myself. 🤗💃🎵🎸 But to their credit, I'm such a music snob, I wouldn't have given a hoot about them if their music didn't kick total arse.. and it did/does! Thanks for the video, it is always an instant giddy "Oh boy!" that flies out of my mouth when I see someone has reacted to them! ❤

As others mentioned, those two girls are the "evil stepsisters", and make their first appearance in Cinderella's first music video "Shake Me", and they also appear in Cinderella's rock ballad "Nobody's Fool". All great songs. There's an order to the videos... "Shake Me", "Somebody Save Me", and "Nobody's Fool" in that order. Highly recommend reacting to all of them when you can get to it. Also "Don't Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone)", another good ballad, but not part of the theme of the first three music videos.

You had to watch the other videos from that album to get what the sisters were referencing. They are the evil step sisters from the Cinderella story. They were in the other two music videos from the band's first album. In Shake Me, the girl who basically plays a modern Cinderella in the videos ends up with the band.
If you just listen to the music and ignore the hair and costumes then you have the best true Rock Band of the 80’s here . These guys kick ass!!
The 2 polka-dot girl's are step sister's too Cinderella. If you watch nobody's fool, you'll see the story and Cinderella getting into the limo with the band while the 2 polka-dot sister's are shocked
If this is "Cinderella ", so whom the 2 sisters might be? They appear in other music videos. Great band from Philadelphia. I've helped them setting up at a Rock club, back in 86.
At the end, the two members from Bon Jovi were the famous lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, and his equally famous lead guitarist, Richie Sambora. I have always been in love with Richie!
I saw Cinderella back in 87 i think long cold winter was just released they opened for AC DC to this day one of the best concerts ever seen

This was the first song of Cinderella I heard in 1987 and went right out and bought the Night songs cassette. Not a lot of CDs back in those days. Lol. Surreal or ironic for me being I’ve had cancer. Bought a big house. lost my spouse (not violence) and was laid off over a year, kicked outta my tree. Back to work again but over 30 years of listening to this song never thought it would be my life. Still love it though!

Tom Keifer, singer, guitar, piano, songwriter was the star of Cinderella. Now Cinderella is without Tom Keifer, who went on to be a solo act after health reasons, and the 'Cinderella band' went on without him when he had throat surgery. I think that's what happened!!? Great band! RIP Jeff Labar, guitar.

The twin chicks represented the rich Evil Step-sistets who bullied Cinderella, and we're a running standard in lots of videos.
My former brother-in-law got his butt kicked at a Cinderella concert. A fact he has never been able to live down. His story is, someone behind him shoved him into another guy as they were leaving the venue and violence ensued. The band's name, Cinderella, (not the most masculine moniker) was the stigma. I guess if he'd gotten whipped at a Stones or Motley Crew concert, he'd have been The Man. Personally, I never messed with him too much about it. After all, one of my favorite bands is the Goo Goo Dolls.
Concerts were different back then (the 1980s and 1990s) security was pretty lax, there were open area in front of the stage in many venues (general admission with no reserved seating) so you could be right up close to the stage (an excellent opportunity to meet girls), and yes, drugs (mostly devil lettuce in our area) and alcohol were often present. This no doubt contributed to the aforementioned butt kicking.
All that being said, I always liked Cinderella, and your reaction was great, as always. Bye.

When I change the lyrics to songs for fun, there are some standard changes that are always made. Save = Shave, Life = Wife, Cloud = Clown, and others. This is another song that is way more fun as Somebody Shave Me.

You have to have watched their other two videos "Shake Me" and "Nobody's Fool" to understand what those two women were about. And the ending is an inside joke because Jon Bon Jovi actually discovered Cinderella and convinced his Mercury A&R manager Derek Schulman to sign the band.
At the beginning, I seen two partial mullets. The two guys in the studio had long hair but the top wasn't puffy like a mullet, but close. That's all I seen.
Bon Jovi discovered this band, back in the 80’s. And the rest is history…

'Out of my tree' is a euphemism for going crazy. Cinderella were the bomb - it was the 80's and they really did perfect the genre. Yes, that's Jon BonJovi - Jon discovered Cinderella playing the clubs in Philly & guested on a few songs from this record.
Being a teenager when this band hit the air waves I then, as I do now, found them to be one of the more genuine rockbands of that era. The hair was a thing at the time but that kinda, sorta changed with the LCW album in 1988, as they also tuned down the more "glammy" image over all. Love them to bits even to this day and I play their albums on regular basis alongside 2 of my other big all time favourites of that era: Kix and Great White - mostly on vinyl, actually, and it's amazing that those lp's are still in such condition after all the hours they've been played and the fact that they've survived parties, a few years of dj'ing and of course the late nights of listening.

I hung with Jeff LaBarr everyday in Dennis Caruso’s music store in Upper Darby 81 to around 84.
He’s a little older than me, so he was far ahead of me guitar wise.
He taught me how to play in the style of Van Halen.
Jeff was a great lead guitar player.

The band Bon Jovi discovered the band Cinderella and made them famous under their label. Cinderella toured with Bon Jovi during the high of 80's hair metal.
I looked for a comment like this before I mentioned it. Yes Bon Jovi did discover Cinderella. I'm 57 years old and grew up with 80's rock. I saw Bon Jovi with Cinderella opening up for them twice. Both groups were extremely fun to see together.
