I started partial weightbearing yesterday at my physical therapy appointment and I'm so happy. Cannot wait to keep practicing and getting back to normal
Thanks! I broke my ankle whilst playing volleyball and was instructed partial weight bearing. I was having a hard time with the crutches so this really helped.
Thank you for this. Had surgery on my ankle two weeks ago and hoping to be partial-weightbearing after my clinic review next week. Haven't been safe enough for crutches yet whilst non-weightbearing, I was too unsteady, so have been using a zimmer. Can't wait to get back to normal.
As shown/instructed by your Dr. ... are you kidding!? I almost had to tie him down to get a few questions answered, as did the other 5 ppl he saw behind different curtains! No instruction at all, from the day of the fracture, to getting the air-cast, to partial weight bearing allowed today. So I search on line. And get told off by hubby for doing so, because you can't trust the internet. Why did it hurt under the middle of my foot as I tried a first step up stairs? Ankle was broken, not the foot? I called the surgeon's office, but surprise: no call back after 3 hours.
Hi i had fibula surgery and I have started walking at partial bearing after 4 months but my heel is not touching ground. Is it normal ?

Probably your hamstring muscles are already contracted. I am assuming that your operated leg are bended most of the time that leads to contracture or tightness.

Or it could be some weakness on your front part of your leg muscles.
@ Actually, I had an accident in November and both my bones of leg broke but they didn't operate my leg at that time. Doctors put my bones back into place and put a plaster cast around my leg. Then in January, I had surgery on my leg bc my bones were misplaced slightly. So, I had a plaster cast around my leg for 5 or 6 months.
@ can you please suggest me any exercise or whatever the procedure for hamstring muscles. Thank You!

Hi. I would love to help but in your case, it would be beneficial for you if you are going to see your Ortho Doctor first, talk about your concern and will surely refer you to a Physiotherapist for an assessment and a treatment plan for you.
