Hello, I'm a hard mode player stuck at the save point before ballos. Can you please give me your wisdom on how to clear B2, the room with the falling blocks?
There are several strategies out there (one method that seems to work well for many people is to use the L3 Bubbline to shield yourself against the Butes), but honestly, I'm not great at that room myself so I'm probably not the best person to ask about that.
But more than getting better at B2, my recommendation for clearing Hell on hard mode is to practice B3 through the end on a normal mode save, until you get to the point where you can clear it consistently without taking damage. Then in theory, you would only need to get through B2 on hard mode once or twice to beat the whole level.
How do you get such fast spam with the bosses? I feel like my input speed doesn't register/the bosses don't take damage at the rate I'm mashing. Then again, I'm playing on a 3ds.
It could be a positioning issue. For Heavy Press, the weak spot is only in the center, so be careful not to stand too far off to the side. Ballos phase 1 is all about staying within his hitbox and not missing any shots (it helps to start the fight near the edge of his hitbox and then move as little as possible). Then for phase 2, you should start shooting as soon as his eyes open, because despite the health bar making it look like he always starts with full health, he does still take damage before that.
