If you want something even more groovy from this album I would recommend Wake Up Dead. For another song where Daves singing is better and a different type of megadeth I would recommend In My Darkest Hour

My favorite Megadeth record! Usually a band's 2nd album sucks - they're riding the high of a first successful tour, the debut recording put them on the map by getting heavy airplay and satisfied fans rally around a hard-working band on tour, but then as soon as that's over... the record company says *DO IT AGAIN IMMEDIATELY* "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?!" is one of those rare cases where a band's 2nd record didn't have rushed material or sound like it was tossed together in a panic.
Dont forget to play “PAINKILLER “ by Judas Priest!!! I’m gonna keep bugging you guys to play it. Especially after playing “The Conjuring” You need to have a dynamite follow-up to that song. And pain killer is it
MONTROSE album and his work with GAMMA .... also his many solo efforts. Town Without Pity is a must listen. Ronnie is a legend along with Rick Derringer that influenced many rockers including Eddie Van Halen.
Van Halen = "Montrose, Jr." !!!! 🤘🤘 {Although, no argument: Sam Hagar sounds WAY better on that Monstrose debut than on ANY Van Hagar tracks!!). Ronnie is such a sad story, a brilliant player and writer and arranger, who never was able to accept the credit he was given and (thereby, as well as: because he, actually, WASN'T, by a lot of people!) was, also, never given all the creidt and accolades he was, truly, due. His self-doubt and self-deprecation are what brought him to his untimely end. 😭😭😭 -All Hail the GREAT RONNIE MONTROSE! 🤘🤘🔥🤘🤘
This is the very song that got me into Metal and more specifically heavier metal (over hair metal) as a 13 year old Freshman in the Fall of 1987. Never looked back. Still a metalhead at the age of 46.

Don't get me started! lol Have a good one Pony Boy!
Besides Dave Mustaine (guitar and vocals) and David Ellefson (bass), the other members of the band were Chris Poland (guitar) and Gar Samuelson (drums); both Jazz / Fusion musicians that had played together in a band called The New Yorkers before joining Megadeth.
The drummer is Gar Samuelson . (RIP). He was a trained jazz drummer. And Chris Poland (guitar) was too. They were a great match for Dave and Dave Jr. I saw that band in a club on Peace tour. Badass all the way.
A big part of appreciating this music for me was experiencing it live, in the Pit. Megadeth was a band that took Moshing to another level. Most thrash bands used to have a "Mosh" section in their songs. Megadeth had several. different levels of frantic insanity in theirs.
Some of my favorites in no particular order. Enjoying watching you both react! 1. Wake up Dead 2. Peace Sells (particularly if you are feeling somewhat snarky) 3. Countdown to Extinction 4. Reckoning Day
This album is a must for the Megadeth collection. I remember being 10 yrs old when this came out and hearing it. I was hooked and used chore money to by a cassette. Good Mourning / Black Friday is a killer track on this album. The guitars licks are pure thrash
This has always been their best album! Just pure raw metal to the core!! Dave Mustaine will ALWAYS deliver the guitars and vocals like only he knows how. This is how he separates himself from the rest of the pack. “Wake up Dead” Good Mourning/ Black Friday” “Devils Island” Definite must plays! Good job you two. Such a rockin song. Keep up the good work you two ✌🏻 out!!
So, in whatever sense, you picked-up on the apparent things which most (if-not-all) musicians and "musicologists" pick-up on, in this early period of Megadeth: The ridiculously noteworthy musicianship and skill of: Gar Samulelson and Chris Poland [The drummer and the "other" guitar player - although Poland, to my mind, surpasses Mustaine on this album as far as guitar-work; AND, unlike most people seem to think: he plays many of the intricate solos on this album (not as many as Mustaine, I think, but....)]. Gar Samuelson [R.I.P. 1999 😭😭😭😭] and Chris Poland were friends from Western/Central N.Y. state and played together (and separately) in numerous Jazz-Fusion bands. The most well-known of these is: The New Yorkers (which featured both Chris and Gary ["Gar" = short for: Gary]). Mustaine had seen Gar play, somewhere and sought him out when he was in need of, yet, another drummer. Gar, after settling-in, had mentioned his buddy, Chris Poland and Poland was recruited for the guitar slot, to play against Dave. Both Gary and Chris brought their superb musicianship and jazz-fusion sensibilities unto Megadeth and those are clear on every track they play on. It makes that era of Megadeth sound like, absolutely, NO-one else [and, holy crap can Gar SWING!!!!! & Poland groove!!!!! 🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘]. The band never sounded better. Gar is, criminally, underrated for what he brought to the table, both, at=the-time and, even, now! - Evan among the metal communities! 🤘🤘 That's not to say there wasn't "any good Megadeth" after Poland and Samuelson, but ...it wasn't the same [The reason that Mustaine recruited monster jazz-fusion drummer, Vinnie Colaiuta to play on their (somewhat) "come-back" album: The System Has Failed, was, pretty obviously, an attempt to capture, not only the technical proficiency (which had increased over the years, in some ways, as well), but, also, to try and recapture Gar and Chris' swing and feel. That album is KILLER, B.T.W.! 😁😁 - Colaiuta doesn't disappoint!]. There are weaknesses on each of them, but, the 1st 3 Megadeth releases can run with anyone, at any level on any skill or capacity. You need to hear them all. [Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good (A majority of the material co-written with Robert Cromwell, in: Fallen Angels - The precursor to Megadeth, per se.), Peace Sells, But Who's Buying?! and So Far, So Good, So What (weaknesses in sound, but songwriting is really excellent).] Respect to Gar Samuelson and Chris Poland [Poland is still doing his thing with his band: OHM, too]]. Honor them! 🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘
Oh, and, just "f.y.i.." Andy, Alex: Peace Sells... was a pretty huge album. You have t consider that: Peace Sells, But Who's Buying?!, Master Of Puppets & Reign In Blood were all "competitors." Out in the same window (within 6-9 months of one -another - THAT was considered "CLOSE," back-in-the-day!!!! 😜) ...and Anthrax's Spreading The Disease predated them by just a few moths, as well (although, Anthrax's biggest (and, arguably, "best" -Although, for me that was 1990's Persistence Of Time ...but the "classic" that gets quoted with the other major albums of that era is, always:) Among the Living - and it, certainly, deserves the attention! 🤘- was only a few months/less than a year away, as well. You can't imagine how it felt when all of these bands had ground-breaking, spectacular albums out, pretty much "neck-and-neck" with one-another! (And they were NOT the ONLY ones, either!) ...and radio BARELY paid attention, then!!!! (It wasn't until after the horrible loss of Cliff Burton that: "the larger public" began to, really, hear the various bands who were spearheading thrash metal and the development of the NWoBHM. 🤘🤘 Thrash "broke" in '83 ...but it broke free (from the underground fame it held in schoolyards and small clubs) in that mid-Eighties window: 1985-1986. ...Slightly surprisingly: The history does not overtake the music. All of those albums are, rightfully, classics and they hold-up to this day (and beyond!)!!!! 🤘🔥🤘 -Just some, really, superb, innovative, intriguing music and the correct time-period for it to connect with its audience and explode into the "public consciousness." 👍
You guys should check out Megadeth "Tornado of Souls" next. For sure. And you should definitely check out some of the tracks off Megadeth "So Far So Good So What" album like "502," "I Dont Want to Set the World On Fire," "In My Darkest Hour," "Hook In Mouth," "Mary Jane," etc. That whole album ROCKS. Oh. And FOR SURE Megadeth "Take No Prisoners," which is off the Rust In Peace album. Same album as Holy Wars.
TORNADO OF SOULS. Lots of changes and it's just epic. Dave Mustaine has said even he doesn't like his voice but he never found anyone that would sing the way he wanted them to. Having originally been in Metallica, he was probably looking for another James Hetfield and since that won't ever happen, he decided to sing himself.
You guys need to check out some Testament next. For a sample of their range check out Practice What You Preach (for the heavy/thrash side) and The Legacy (for one of the greatest metal ballads ever recorded.
I recommend something from the album Countdown to Extinction, like Symphony of Destruction, Skin o' My Teeth or High Speed Dirt. They are nice rock songs. The songwriting is really good on that album.
Gotta love Megadeth! They're still great after all these years! Check out Distopia or Lying in state from the Distopia album it's their most recent release and it is awesome!!
My favorite Megadeth song is "Hook in Mouth". Great political song to push back against Tipper Gore and the PMRC (Parents Music Resource Center) and their laws that that required the "Tipper Sticker" which is the parental advisory explicit lyrics sticker that you see today.
This is fucking awesome dudes... Completely like a classical piece it has no refrain-chorus-refrain structure whatsoever. It takes you through a story.
A&A - I appreciate the musicianship, but this type of metal is "conjuring" bad banger days. Respect to the fans, always! I listened. One must face what they fear. Great, thoughtful reaction per usual. Have a great day fellas! :)
@@tallykev6608 Aw. That's very kind of you to say. Appreciate it! I never thought of the "reaction to a reaction"... Thanks for a good laugh. Great day to you as well! :)
@@MMFrye Aw Missy, i'm sorry to hear that. But I was just having a conversation with a co-worker this morning how music can be a catalyst for memories. The way a smell can be. There are certain songs that take me right back to a place in time. For example, Led Zeppelin's In the Light reminds me of the Shire (as in Tolkien), cause I had just gotten hooked on Physical Graffiti when reading Fellowship of the Ring. Crazy how the mind works.
From Megadeth check out sudden death, dystopia, in my darkest hour, Captive honor, Tornado of soul, Rathelhrad, FFF, angry again, Hook in Mouth, Blood of heroes and many many more.
Ok boys, I got one for ya. You got your party pants on? This is one of my all time favorites. This for your drinking day for sure. To me this is drinking music but I’m crazy. When in you tube mode, go to Japanese band EZO , rimshotrock & then here are the songs: house of a thousand pleasures, flash back heart attack and finally destroyer, about a girl no less. You know it’s Japanese love song. I’m serious about the drinking you want to slightly hammered for this first reaction. In my opinion one of the most truly underrated hard rock bands of all time. Saw them twice. Rock privilege.
Watch Mungo Jerry. The song is: In The Sumer Time. You don't have to react, but you'll die laughing at the video. It's a classic from someone who grew up in the 60's and 70's complete with banjo, and jug blowing, and of course HIPPIES! WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR TAKE!
This is one of my favorite Megadeth songs! Great band with TONS of bangers! I'd strongly recommend the song "Five Magics" off of their Rust in Peace album.
great video! I had that cassette back in the day -- all the writing was worn off from all the flipping back and forth until it was smooth and white as bleached bone -- that's metal!!! Two more suggestions 1) "Bury me in smoke" by Down -- one of the heaviest songs of all time, and 2)"Cypress Avenue" by Van Morrison -- it's blues, not metal, but I think you guys might get a lot out of Van the Man...
I used to LOVE Megadeth in high school(i still do, but my music library has definitely expanded since then) and if you guys like this song, then theres definitely a lot of Megadeth songs you'll like. The whole Rust in Peace album is gold. Good mourning/Black Friday, Wake up Dead(my personal favorite, but also shorter) from this album is really good. Countdown to Extinction is also a really good album with some gems. Imo, Megadeth is the best Thrash metal band(yes, better than Metallica)
David, I could have written this. I agree with you 100%. I honestly stopped listening to Megadeth after Countdown to Extinction. Kinda fell out of metal at that point in my life but will always love old school thrash.
I really enjoyed the drums on this song, he sounded like he was giving it his all and having a great time!!! I would need to listen to this again because one time wasn't enough to gather all my thoughts for this song haha! But this is a great song and I don't know why, but the intro to the song with the opening guitar riff and when the snare drum kicks in, it reminded me of Def Leppard's "Switch 625." I'd give this song an 8.5 overall. Great reaction video and have a lovely day Andy and Alex! :)
If you guys want to see Dave Mustaine at his prime when it comes to the vocals then listen to any song from the YOUTHANASIA album. Its like an angel singing lol
Another one of those old bookmarks I can't re-bookmark has popped up. Some stoner rock from Greece. *Villagers of Ioannina City* is the band (Sabbath is the sound, if you still dig that), and *Zvara* is the song. The lyrics are Greek to me, though. ua-cam.com/video/Y9eUhnOjPLI/v-deo.html (Various ancient wind instruments also feature.)
Alex From Andy And Alex thanks Alex and love y’alls reviews. Totally awesome!!!! Another good Rush song is Cygnus X1 book II off of Hemispheres. Personally I think it’s better than book 1. Thanks again
You guys are being pushovers. There is no way this song deserves more than 6.0. It isn't even on the same point scale as so many of the bands you have reacted to such as; Led Zeppelin, Rush, The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Creedence, and so on. Megadeath is a niche band with hardcore fans but they don't measure up to the previous bands I mentioned. For me, this song is a 5.0 and definitely not a banger. Be tough when you need to. They can't all be awesome!
@Darren Bernard I don’t think we were being pushovers at all lol, we expressed what we liked and what we didn’t like about the song, the vocals were pretty much the only issue we had with it. And note that a Megadeth 9 does not equate to a Rush 9. I understand you strongly did not enjoy the track but we’re still going to slap respect where it’s due. It wouldn’t be fair to some of these bands if we constantly compare them to the legends lol.
In this vein, you must check out the last few W.A.S.P. album, particularly "Golgotha." Blackie Lawless has never sounded better, and the current band line-up absolutely slays. The title track ua-cam.com/video/3LB9tNl-1Vk/v-deo.html & "Slaves to the New World Order ua-cam.com/video/6hKhnilRV8o/v-deo.html
I'm still waiting for someone to react to "Buzzard" by Armageddon, the '70s hard rock band with a pretty major cult following. Keith Relf's last band before his death, Armageddon was almost a supergroup that would probably have taken their place along side bands such as Uriah Heep, Judas Priest and even Led Zeppelin, if they hadn't been brought to such a screeching halt almost before they even got started.
My first time listening to this tune 8.0. I wasn’t a Megadeth fan back in the 80’s. I do dig most of what I’ve heard by them. I don’t really care for this track. Seemed all over the place. I prefer what they did on their Cryptic Writings album. The song “Trust” or anything off that album.
A rite of passage for all us thrashers of yesteryear. This album is an ass kicker. My favourite line up. Stellar musicians. Agree though, Mustaine voice is an acquired taste. Still waiting for Alex to totally thrash out with that hair. Windmill action dude! Check out Amon Amarth Twilight of the Thunder God for lessons. Thanks again guys.
Been a fan of this band ever since I bought this album (yes, album) 1) because a hot chick liked , and 2) the cover art was too awesome. The title track off this album is the best, IMO. The band progressed quickly over the course of the next couple albums. I recommend tracks off of Rust In Peace, Countdown to Extinction, and Youthanasia. Spe18cifically: Lucretia Hanger 18 Foreclosure of A Dream Symphony of Destruction Train of Consequences A Tout Le Monde Also, when it comes to "thrash" metal I can not stress enough that you should give the Anthrax album "Sound of White Noise" a spin. Specifically the tracks, "Only", "Potter's Field", and "Black Lodge" (but the whole album is outstanding).
So unfortunately you were exposed to Dave Mustaine’s “remixed” version of the song/album that over accentuate his vocals. The original or the remastered but not remixed versions have a much better feel. I love this song but completely agree with your criticism in this case.
A first for me again! Yes, an interesting song. Quite a lot of surprises in it, too. My Megadeth knowledge is limited to _Rust in Peace_ (partly because I always feel like anything else would just have to be a let down after that), so all I can recommend is to put this album on an infinite loop and keep it going till you're brainwashed by it. (I've listened to other songs of theirs, but only obsessively, over and over again, to _Rust in Peace_ ) So instead of suggesting a Megadeth song, I'll just suggest something utterly sentimental (but arguably reasonably beautiful) from the soundtrack of *War of the Worlds* (a classic album you might enjoy on the quieter days). ua-cam.com/video/dRV7CUU5tFk/v-deo.html Edit: I''ve just found out there was no movie. It's just a concept album. Some great music on it. (Not all sentimental and snotty like this.)
I've become a bit obsessed with *Major Parkinson* lately, so I suppose the right thing to do is to recommend too many of their songs. Here's one that starts with Chopin on piano (or some musical relative, anyway), and then builds up to something with more rock in it. The only relevance here might be that the lines are full of surprises. ua-cam.com/video/UBBvMN_d730/v-deo.html (Not really a banger, again. I suppose I'd better go dig around for at least one banger, hey?)
Probably too short to be good for a reaction video, but it bangs a fair bit - especially if you'll allow a song with a lot of surprises in it to be a "banger" in your dictionary. ua-cam.com/video/EcamwNqJvzg/v-deo.html *Winston's Atomic Bird* by *The Boston Spaceships* (and I can't object if you complain that I'm just surreptitiously repeating myself. You have to admit the man is at very least prolific, though.)
It might bang a bit too hard, but *Lust* at least has a bass guitar from a band my cousin was in a few years ago (playing much heavier music, here, with *Boargazm* ) ua-cam.com/video/_-Y-FaB8x-k/v-deo.html It's from their album _The Aporkalypse_ ( :-) ) - which was big in South Africa, Ecuador, and Russia a few years ago. ("Big" being a bit of a relative concept, here). It's all about how Boargazm come from outer space to save the pigs from being oppressed by humans. (And in the video they do it nice and violently).
My cousin played lead guitar in *Mrs B* (among other things - I don't think they were ever able to make a living just out of this band). I heard Pedro (leader of the band - the big guy) pulled all their uploads from UA-cam at some stage, but it looks like *Everyone is Gay* somehow survived. ua-cam.com/video/586nMM2y0c8/v-deo.html It's more "pop rock" than their usual songs were, so if you listen to it you'll have no idea what their music usually sounded like, but at least you'll be able to catch glimpses of my cousin (the guy with the Gibson) pretending to play guitar for the video (and also of a Marshall half-stack that once lived in a caravan with me. I ripped out the far side bunks to give it space to live in. Happy days - or maybe the good side of some hard times, maybe). And they shared a bass player with Boargazm, eventually.
Welcome back, guys. This was my favorite album back then, and still one of my favorites. Voc.'s are always the thing noobs to this and the previous album, Killing Is My Business...!, don't like - quite understandably. That said, original drummer, Gar Samuelson, was an absolute beast on the kit. Still my favorite of all Megadeth skinsmen, as well as guitarist, Chris Poland. They were jazz guys[!] when Mustaine drafted them into his army, ha. Last thing: if you listen to the entirety of the album [especially over a giant PA like in a club, but also on a decent home system], the vocals work a LOT better.

All the things you picked up on that you did not like, are all due to the remastered version which tried to improve something that was already perfect. So the engineer slapped on a load of tasteless FX and processing. PLEASE PLEASE IGNORE THIS REMASTER AND CHECK OUT THE ORIGINAL!

{Although, no argument: Sam Hagar sounds WAY better on that Monstrose debut than on ANY Van Hagar tracks!!).
-All Hail the GREAT RONNIE MONTROSE! 🤘🤘🔥🤘🤘
Hell, yes: "Rock Candy"!!!!!!!!!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the very song that got me into Metal and more specifically heavier metal (over hair metal) as a 13 year old Freshman in the Fall of 1987. Never looked back. Still a metalhead at the age of 46.
I know there arent alot of supporters for these which is a shame because they are bangers but react to....
Grateful dead- Birdsong live 08/27/72!
The sword - iron swan
The sword - winter’s wolves
Quicksilver Messenger Service- Mona
The Doors - The End live @ the hollywood bowl!
The End live @ Hollywood Bowl is a must. Master class in performance art. -- Don't let the dream die. Hang in there!
I like The Doors.
Lisa W Haha thanks! I wont! But to reply to the Hollywood Bowl comment, absolutely yes! Tbh i prefer The Doors live renditions of “The End” to the studio version. From Hollywood bowl to the Isle of Wight. Morrison always adds in beautiful extra pieces to the song and you really get that untamed Morrison energy. Have you heard When the Music’s over live before? Thats another one i prefer live
@@mikehawkertz9237 Good! haha -- I'm a huge Doors fan. I have watched the entire Hollywood Bowl & Isle of Wight events (all documentaries, poetry, etc.). Should call them "Happenings". Morrison fascinates me to no end. As you said, "untamed". The Doors were like an organism. To be able to vibe off each other to perfection, is almost unheard of... Don't get me started! lol Have a good one Pony Boy!
Sweating Bullets by megadeth..the ultimate megadeth reaction song
Good morning/Black Friday and Wake up Dead are musts from this album
Some of my favorites in no particular order. Enjoying watching you both react!
1. Wake up Dead
2. Peace Sells (particularly if you are feeling somewhat snarky)
3. Countdown to Extinction
“Wake up Dead”
Good Mourning/ Black Friday”
“Devils Island”
Definite must plays!
Good job you two. Such a rockin song. Keep up the good work you two ✌🏻 out!!
I loved the fact you recognized the groove and swing created by the drumwork of the late, great Gar Samuelson. Your musical insight is strong!
That's not to say there wasn't "any good Megadeth" after Poland and Samuelson, but ...it wasn't the same [The reason that Mustaine recruited monster jazz-fusion drummer, Vinnie Colaiuta to play on their (somewhat) "come-back" album: The System Has Failed, was, pretty obviously, an attempt to capture, not only the technical proficiency (which had increased over the years, in some ways, as well), but, also, to try and recapture Gar and Chris' swing and feel. That album is KILLER, B.T.W.! 😁😁 - Colaiuta doesn't disappoint!].
There are weaknesses on each of them, but, the 1st 3 Megadeth releases can run with anyone, at any level on any skill or capacity.
You need to hear them all. [Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good (A majority of the material co-written with Robert Cromwell, in: Fallen Angels - The precursor to Megadeth, per se.), Peace Sells, But Who's Buying?! and So Far, So Good, So What (weaknesses in sound, but songwriting is really excellent).]
Respect to Gar Samuelson and Chris Poland [Poland is still doing his thing with his band: OHM, too]]. Honor them!
Thrash "broke" in '83 ...but it broke free (from the underground fame it held in schoolyards and small clubs) in that mid-Eighties window: 1985-1986.
...Slightly surprisingly: The history does not overtake the music. All of those albums are, rightfully, classics and they hold-up to this day (and beyond!)!!!!
🤘🔥🤘
-Just some, really, superb, innovative, intriguing music and the correct time-period for it to connect with its audience and explode into the "public consciousness." 👍
Try some more UFO, off the Obssesion album. Pack it up and go or Hot And Ready. The whole album is very tasty
RIGHT on. Love me some. UFO
just saw them this year at the house of blues with armored saint. Both bands killed it. Kick ass show.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
You guys need to check out some Testament next. For a sample of their range check out Practice What You Preach (for the heavy/thrash side) and The Legacy (for one of the greatest metal ballads ever recorded.
I recommend something from the album Countdown to Extinction, like Symphony of Destruction, Skin o' My Teeth or High Speed Dirt. They are nice rock songs. The songwriting is really good on that album.
Hangar 18 is a MUST
This is a guitar players dream song. Just such good playing.
Good review yet again, Alex and Andy.
Judas Priest - Victim of Changes.
Don't forget Trapeze - Medusa!
Alex feeling the groove, metal you can dance to! LOL
They definitely can rock. I always liked Symphony of Destruction!
Symphony of Destruction is among my favorites by Megadeth.
A&A - I appreciate the musicianship, but this type of metal is "conjuring" bad banger days. Respect to the fans, always! I listened. One must face what they fear. Great, thoughtful reaction per usual. Have a great day fellas! :)
Lisa, very thoughtful reaction to their reaction.... nice job! I think this is the next wave: reactions to reactions. Hope you're having a great day!
Most 80's music conjures bad days in general for me.
@@tallykev6608 Aw. That's very kind of you to say. Appreciate it! I never thought of the "reaction to a reaction"... Thanks for a good laugh. Great day to you as well! :)
@@MMFrye Same here, Missy. There's a few standouts, but only a few. Hope your day is wonderful!
"Lorelei" by Styx; "Light Up" by Styx; Queen of Spades" by Styx (are you sensing a pattern here?); "Castle Walls" by Styx. TY & YW.
From Megadeth check out sudden death, dystopia, in my darkest hour, Captive honor, Tornado of soul, Rathelhrad, FFF, angry again, Hook in Mouth, Blood of heroes and many many more.
7:25 - This describes every Dave Mustaine song, get to doing more Megadeth and you will see.
DEFINITELY "In my darkest hour"
Watch Mungo Jerry. The song is: In The Sumer Time. You don't have to react, but you'll die laughing at the video. It's a classic from someone who grew up in the 60's and 70's complete with banjo, and jug blowing, and of course HIPPIES! WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR TAKE!
First time I heard this song was in 1986 on the Long Beach CA radio station KNAC. Brings back great memories. A&A keep on rockin’
Welcome back to Megadeth boys, my suggestion is going to be a new one.. Blackmail the Universe.. From the album The System Has Failed.
In My darkest hour 🎶🎶🎸🎸 or Lucretia 🎶🎸👍
My Darkest Hour is my favorite by Megadeath. The lyrics and style meld together so well
This is one of my favorite Megadeth songs! Great band with TONS of bangers! I'd strongly recommend the song "Five Magics" off of their Rust in Peace album.
Symphony of Destruction, please!!!
great video! I had that cassette back in the day -- all the writing was worn off from all the flipping back and forth until it was smooth and white as bleached bone -- that's metal!!! Two more suggestions 1) "Bury me in smoke" by Down -- one of the heaviest songs of all time, and 2)"Cypress Avenue" by Van Morrison -- it's blues, not metal, but I think you guys might get a lot out of Van the Man...
reaction song good mourning Black friday 1986
Good Mourning Black Friday!!! The best song on the album
How have you NOT done the Disturbed Sounds of Silence Cover?
conjouring is pretty good
i think good morning black friday and my last words are the best tracks
whole album is great though
I really enjoyed the drums on this song, he sounded like he was giving it his all and having a great time!!! I would need to listen to this again because one time wasn't enough to gather all my thoughts for this song haha! But this is a great song and I don't know why, but the intro to the song with the opening guitar riff and when the snare drum kicks in, it reminded me of Def Leppard's "Switch 625." I'd give this song an 8.5 overall. Great reaction video and have a lovely day Andy and Alex! :)
Megadeth - In my darkest Hour....or Mary Jane
Both tunes are pure perfection 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dammit ,I was right the first time . It’s you tube mode for EZO. Tonight’s my drinking night. Yee-haw.
You really need to try Lita Ford!! How really is the queen of aMetal , paving the way for all rock , metal females out today!!!
Plz check out more of this album. Bad omen! My last words! These 2 are a must
A song by Robin Trower call Bridge of Sighs you'll love it it's awesome awesome song!!!
The lyrics are Greek to me, though. ua-cam.com/video/Y9eUhnOjPLI/v-deo.html
(Various ancient wind instruments also feature.)
Listen to Under A Glass Moon by Dream Theater
JC One of the greatest guitar solos ever!
@@toddedwards5144 Yes it is!
countdown to extinction is one album you must hear, no doubt!
When is Rush Wednesday coming back? 😄
Rich Bue on some non predetermined but certainly universally constant driven Wednesday’s
Alex From Andy And Alex thanks Alex and love y’alls reviews. Totally awesome!!!! Another good Rush song is Cygnus X1 book II off of Hemispheres. Personally I think it’s better than book 1. Thanks again
MY LAST WORDS -MEGADETH
You guys are being pushovers. There is no way this song deserves more than 6.0. It isn't even on the same point scale as so many of the bands you have reacted to such as; Led Zeppelin, Rush, The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Creedence, and so on. Megadeath is a niche band with hardcore fans but they don't measure up to the previous bands I mentioned. For me, this song is a 5.0 and definitely not a banger. Be tough when you need to. They can't all be awesome!
@Darren Bernard
I don’t think we were being pushovers at all lol, we expressed what we liked and what we didn’t like about the song, the vocals were pretty much the only issue we had with it.
Sweating Bullets by Megadeth from Countdown To Extinction 🎸
She wolf live from rude awakening, please. Also, Trust and/or Dread and the fugitive mind, both live from rude awakening
Spe18cifically:
Lucretia
Hanger 18
Foreclosure of A Dream
Symphony of Destruction
Train of Consequences
A Tout Le Monde
Also, when it comes to "thrash" metal I can not stress enough that you should give the Anthrax album "Sound of White Noise" a spin. Specifically the tracks, "Only", "Potter's Field", and "Black Lodge" (but the whole album is outstanding).
MEGADETH - BLACK FRIDAY
Man I went to war with these cassettes, I guess I'm just an old head banger...
METAL til DETH... 🤘🏼
So unfortunately you were exposed to Dave Mustaine’s “remixed” version of the song/album that over accentuate his vocals. The original or the remastered but not remixed versions have a much better feel. I love this song but completely agree with your criticism in this case.
Hell yeah! Check out the song My Last Words from this album.
HOLY WARS!!!!!!!!! Want to hear guitar reaction!!!!!
iirc, Dave has refused to play this live anymore for religious reasons
He just played it last year
he play it again
I followed the recipe as a teenager and then my ex girlfriend had a perpetual fish smell that would repulse people to her.
Dave Mustaine is the man. He should snarl sing everything.
andy is right listen to the backingtrack.garr and dave are a rythm machine.
In My Darkest Hour. Do it men!
(I've listened to other songs of theirs, but only obsessively, over and over again, to _Rust in Peace_ )
So instead of suggesting a Megadeth song, I'll just suggest something utterly sentimental (but arguably reasonably beautiful) from the soundtrack of *War of the Worlds* (a classic album you might enjoy on the quieter days). ua-cam.com/video/dRV7CUU5tFk/v-deo.html
Edit: I''ve just found out there was no movie.
The only relevance here might be that the lines are full of surprises. ua-cam.com/video/UBBvMN_d730/v-deo.html
(Not really a banger, again. I suppose I'd better go dig around for at least one banger, hey?)
Probably too short to be good for a reaction video, but it bangs a fair bit - especially if you'll allow a song with a lot of surprises in it to be a "banger" in your dictionary. ua-cam.com/video/EcamwNqJvzg/v-deo.html
*Winston's Atomic Bird*
by *The Boston Spaceships*
(and I can't object if you complain that I'm just surreptitiously repeating myself. You have to admit the man is at very least prolific, though.)
It might bang a bit too hard, but *Lust* at least has a bass guitar from a band my cousin was in a few years ago (playing much heavier music, here, with *Boargazm* ) ua-cam.com/video/_-Y-FaB8x-k/v-deo.html
It's from their album _The Aporkalypse_ ( :-) ) - which was big in South Africa, Ecuador, and Russia a few years ago.
I heard Pedro (leader of the band - the big guy) pulled all their uploads from UA-cam at some stage, but it looks like *Everyone is Gay* somehow survived. ua-cam.com/video/586nMM2y0c8/v-deo.html
It's more "pop rock" than their usual songs were, so if you listen to it you'll have no idea what their music usually sounded like, but at least you'll be able to catch glimpses of my cousin (the guy with the Gibson) pretending to play guitar for the video (and also of a Marshall half-stack that once lived in a caravan with me.

Definitely Wake up dead. Rock on dudes
As much as he wished, Dave Mustaine just couldn't find a vocalist like Sean Harris (Diamond Head, pioneers of thrash metal) for his band ;-)
About time for Am I Evil?
@@Holmesmeister-oo2uc I'd go for "Streets of Gold", "Borrowed Time" or "The Prince", but in my opinion you can do no wrong with DH anyway. "Am I Evil" surely is the most famous one and, with no doubt, shows the musical talent of this band. Definitely time for some Diamond Head after all the Metallica and Megadeth vids I think.
UFO - Doctor Doctor
All the things you picked up on that you did not like, are all due to the remastered version which tried to improve something that was already perfect. So the engineer slapped on a load of tasteless FX and processing. PLEASE PLEASE IGNORE THIS REMASTER AND CHECK OUT THE ORIGINAL!
I knew this wouldn’t be my taste but I like you guys so I supported and watched. It wasn’t terrible and there were some good hard melodic licks in there but in the end it was mostly forgettable. I’d give it a generous 7.
@Dadof4
Fair enough! Thanks for stopping by and watching! 😁
Check out Trust, In My Darkest Hour or Symphony of Destruction.💝
MEGADETH GOOD MOURNING BLACK...BLACK FRIDAY... same album but find original version! You reacted to a remastered version last time.
Dave Mustang is awesome, part of the original Metallica
But compared to Holy Wars, the Conjuring kinda sucks
Just do a whole album reaction. It's a masterpiece, really.
OBEY!.........chugga chugga
The majority of the times Andy I'm assuming is the guy on the left he always burns his head like he saying yes he bangs his head forward and backwards and forwards and backwards the long-haired dude on the right when he bangs his head the majority the time he bangs his head left or right like he saying no. LOL just a stupid comment from me sorry about that something I noticed anyways never have been a Megadeth fan just skipped right over that area
Keep doing the videos though I really like to Watch them you guys remind me of me in my body when we were kids listening to Brand New music he lived in Saudi Arabia for one year and I would have to send him to set tapes with brand new music on it and he would send me back a letter with a rating one through 10 of each song of course to use decimal points LOL
Not a big deal but just FYI, the track you guys played here was a remastered version; in my opinion the original 1986 cut was better. May want to check that out and see if you agree.
Don't forget the bass!
