Oh Wow Clare , what a great vid , you certainly got lucky with the weather that day . One of the best vids I have ever watched for scenery.
I’ve stayed at Little Town Farm B &B a few times and done those fells a few times but I don’t think I’ve had a day as good as that . Well done.
    👌👌

I always seemed to miss inversions, until last year in December, I managed hit a week of fantastic clear cold weather in the lakes during me and my mates yearly walking visit,, first ever time I've had a trip with the conditions.. and managed to get out for some running and managed to get a couple of really good inversions.. remember that strange feeling of running through Keswick in thick mist, and breaking through the edge of it going around Derwent heading up cat bells and eventually seeing a good portion of Derwent still covered going up the valley.. if only I'd managed to get out before it was burning off.. I'd have had that breaking out the top moment.. one day!! But at least I got to finally see one.. great video.. wish I could get to the lakes more, just to far away😢

Each time I have done the same walk I have started from the Honistor Slate Mine, so interesting to see it this way. You got a cracking day for it mind, real crisp conditions. After a bout of Covid, you did really well on those Fells and well rewarded with that cloud inversion over Buttermere, which looked fantastic! I have done Fleetwith Pike twice, with different friends, both doing their final Wainwrights and it's a great one, as you can do it the proper way 'up the nose' from Buttermere but if you have friends who are not as fit as you, they could start at the Slate mine and make it easier for them. Funny, we live in Co Durham but have been Wigan Warriors fans since the early 80s and used to have a family season ticket at Central Park, for years before I went onto working shifts. You got stunning views, especially from Dale Head, what an awesome days hiking, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan, yes it was perfect conditions! I just wish I'd have been closer to the inversion, almost so I could feel it! Maybe next time.
Oh and Fleetwith will definitely be from Gatesgarth - I'm hoping to drag a few friends up but I'll make sure I have a full day so we can take it as slow as necessary! Glad you're enjoying the videos 😊

Great to see you back. Just watching you climbing Robinson, Haindsworth and Dale Head. I did them about 3 months ago. I was knackered too. Mine wasn't covid though, old age creeping up on me. Have a happy new year Claire.

Thanks - I thoroughly enjoyed that one! The view from Dale Head has got to be one of the best in the Lakes, in my opinion.

your highlighted route, on the map, showed you'd planned the slog up the side of high snab bank then the 3 rocky steps, they're quite tricky even in good conditions, I was lucky I was a hundred meters behind a couple that seemed to know the route and followed their line.
you did great so soon after covid
I didn't find too much more taxing to continue over high spy, maiden moor and cat bells to get to the car.
plus you'd have stayed in the sun :)

That cloud inversion!…wow! How did you find that route Claire? I was thinking of doing Robinson and Hindscarth from Little Town. Already done Dale Head so thinking of the ascent you did. Great vid! Matt
