God, I wish I could play the other timelines' versions on SM64. It's surreal how real so many SM64 "beta leaks" feel so real and wondrous
the term "timelines" makes me REALLY want to play them... something about that word triggers my excitement to explore.

God I have so many ideas about a beta rom hack that would be actually realistic with some of the ominous elements still pseudo included. Like for example the Wario Apparation, He still exists, and he still chases you. If he touches you. Well…
You take damage that’s it. And the hall doesn’t dim, he isn’t laughing maniacally or anything, and all you have to do to defeat him: 3 Jump kicks. I have a bunch of other ideas and such but there’s just 1 single problem.
I don’t know shit about making rom hacks…

@@Hemios1 I think you're right
I think quite a bit of the unnervingness comes from the choice of image they paired with the music. Imagining the actual level locations with the music, it feels a bit more fitting than the actual used image, and a lot less, if at all, unnerving.

ngl, "Final Floor" and "Unknown Stage" actually sound like they could've been in the game during development, and should've been official themes.
They fit the mood so damn well, like, Final Floor just screams: "You did it, you reached the final floor. After all the fun, all the effort you put in, this is it... your adventure is almost over."

These recordings are actually from that of a retail copy from a parallel universe. That's why they're completely finished.
Why do you think the uploader is saying it's fake in the description?
They were in on an experimental project that involved Mario 64, the AI, and advanced tech supplied by the government. Then they leaked the results and covered it up as a "fan project."
This is only a small part of the leaked results. To my knowledge, some things were taken from the parallel universe's version and put in our universe's game.
Allegedly the town below Wet-Dry World was a portion of the parallel universe's Wet-Dry world that the developers copied over. That's why it's so out-of-place and isolated.
My guess is that the parallel universe's Wet-Dry World was just an expanded version of the town?
Does that mean that Nintendo has not only stole from Argonaut, but themselves?
Or am I just making up stupid shit to feed into an already crazy rabbit hole?
Yeah probs the last thing there bud
The Mario AI, codenamed mAIro sped up development by 64% by fixing bugs, creating the level select, and gathering resources from any possible location.
This included resources outside of our universe.
@@ruler_of_everything so that explains the sonic xtreme texture being in the game
@@cometahavoc yes
This is the root of every inexplicable thing that has happened revolving around Super Mario 64. From "every copy of Super Mario 64 is personalized" to the creepiness around Wet-Dry World, every unusual occurence was formed from a hole in the universe that led to many realities parallel to ours.
In some realities we found failure, and in others we found great success. We simply adapted the game based on what we saw.

Not sure to feel about how cursed some of these sound. CCM Slide and basement sound evil. The vanish cap sounds creepy, almost like something someone would score a bad trip to in a movie. Tall Tall Mountain sounds like it's missing a layer, it actually sounds like something unfinished cut from the game. A lot of them sound pretty good though
Yeah, They sound like a demo too.
I think creepy makes sense in a way, not so much from the beta angle, but from the "legend of Super Mario 64" or the "every copy is personalized" angle. The game has a slightly overblown reputation of being "terrifying" but if this was the real music and the tone of the levels was darkened and twisted to match, it's current creepy reputation would be well earned. The "every copy is personalized" myth involves copies having creepy features like the chain Chomp's eyes being blank and white or there being a giant ghostly Wario head chasing you so this music would fit that as well.
It feels like Paper Mario for me somehow
Oh god Castle Basement too
@@aquabluerose7734 Definitely think this is an astute observation. This aspect of the tunes - which many people seem to be noting - sort of gives away when these songs were ACTUALLY made. Like, the songs were composed with this more contemporary cultural view of Mario 64, especially its beta content - that being the sort of "off" vibe. If these beta songs were to really exist, they'd likely be a little less creepy-sounding.
