Hey! These are just a “few” lyrics in the new album. I recommended reading them. Most of her lyrics have a metaphoric meaning behind them! As someone who loves to analyze literature it’s one of my favorite things about Taylor! I’ve also had to crack open a dictionary with a few of the lyrics in this album.
This album specifically is her closing a chapter and they’re personal to her life specifically. She didn’t try to make an album that would fit “mainstream” songs and I enjoy that. Though, she has basically said, to interpret her songs to your own story as the story isn’t hers anymore, it’s her fans.
If you don’t understand metaphors well, it does seem like the lyrics are basic, but this whole album is basically a “goodbye” to her previous years and a hello to the upcoming!! ❤
The song I can do it with a broken heart, basically is here going through the best times in her life with a broken heart and depression and pushing through!
I'll give her credit for having mainstream "deep" lyrics that are still palatable for the general public. Very "I'm 14 and this is deep" but if you venture out into more indie artists, you'll find much more coherent, deeper lyrics that def won't be on the radio any time soon. She makes grocery store pop music.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm not a swiftie and I don't really keep up with Taylor's life. I remember the incident where Kim leaked the phone conversation with Kanye, but when was it established that the recording was edited or fake or whatever? I never heard about any kind of proof that Kim had tampered with the phone recording in order to make Taylor look bad.
Im also not swifties but i remember that kanye leaks the full video and that video make proof that kim edited the 'scandal' video. Then it got deleted (i think kanye has manic episode at that time)

Sorry, but what is it? Or what are these albums? The lyricism is not it. It is cringing? There is no poetry at all. There is no artistic depth or development with Taylor’s albums. Yes, it has kind of different vibe for some of them. But and the end all the songs sound same. The melodies are same. The album is out and people are only talking about drama. Not about the art. Like bridges, melodies, background vocals, sounds. Just deeper meaning. Girl is in her mid thirties but creates music like she is still a teenager. How is Tay on top of the game will remain mystery for me.
