Looking for the “Random Value” node? Try the add menu, then start typing “random value” while the add menu is active. Then drop it into your network and make the connections.
Perfect timing. Started part 1 yesterday and didn't get stuck until now with the random value not showing. Thank you for the tutorial and the follow ups :)
thanks !! was worried lol
Whew! Thank you!! Was about to lose my freakin mind!!
Sorry, but I'm still unable to find it using this method.
@@chrisbedford7256 it is under utilities
This man could be the author of Blender for Dummies.
I've gotten so frustrated following along other tutorials trying to figure out the maze that is Blender.
You articulate the program so well that I've literally never once gotten frustrated working on this project.
You go through EVERY SINGLE STEP, and that saves a LOT of time for people. I appreciate that more than you can imagine.
Black Belt level teaching skills here
I agree
There was a small bug when trying to find the random value when adding the node through rotation, this can be fixed by adding the node through scale and then disconnecting it and reconnecting it with rotation, love the tutorials btw
you saved me with this, thank you!
Thank you!
Hi Grimm3973. Thanks so much for this. I got the same bug and was puzzled for a moment, then I read you comment. Supper helpful. Thank you.
thanks a lot! blessings for u bro
THANK YOU! omg
bro disappeared for three years and came back with a historic tutorial. please make some more bro.
i think he disappears bc he has a website with tons of tutorials on it
The donut teaches you things to but you taught me so much I even stay up past my bedtime getting to it thank you🙏
This was the best tutorial of my life, Ive been doing Blender for a year and half now, so Ive gained enough experience to breeze through most beginer tutorials but not enough to do my own thing.Thats when I found you! I've learned how to use blender in ways I didn't even know before! I cant wait to see more videos of yours and hopefully I can save enough money to do your courses. 10/10 I'll definitely do again
@CGFastTrack just wanted to say thankyou for creating this tutorial, its both comprehensive and covers a wide area of knowledge for beginners like myself, appreciate your work alot man, youre a great teacher
I've made it this far because you are such a fantastic and patient teacher.
A heartfelt thank you from this absolute beginner.
The best teacher for real!
Everything is organized to chapters, you get reminders and tips.
Thank you so much :D
*If I had the money I would buy the Premium for sure, cuz your really know how to explain so its sinks.
i gave up Blendergurus Donut series on part 10, i got so confused on Geometry Nodes but you made it amazingly simple. Good work! I made it through your entire series! I love your teaching style
I also gave up on geometry nodes but after watching this series i have redone my donut
@@Factland_ That’s a great idea. Definitely gonna try to do that and remake it, maybe without the tutorial.
I just finished the new blender donut tutorial if the geometry nodes get confusing I would recommend pausing the video every time he adds new nodes so you know the exact nodes and also where to put it hope this helps 🙏
Just finished it, it took me 10 or more hours but i didn't take breaks so i can say you made it easy to stay focused on it. Took that much because this is actually the first day using Blender
and how is blender working for you right now???
Had a problem with this section: 00:29:47
I couldn't find the randomizer from the rotate section of the geometry nodes. Until I pulled from the scale section. Then I could disconnect it from scale and attach it to rotation. Problem solved.
omg thank god dude i started freaking out and came to the comments and your the only comment i found to fix this issue!!!
@trippytv4028 my pleasure bro 🫡
dude same i wasted like 30 min for this dumb thing, but still don't get why we get this problem?
Also got this issue, definitely dunno why it's so buh thanks dude. you a life saver
thanks broski
Aaah finally after 14 hours it's completely done
Thank you so much❤❤
That's what I can say to you
You are doing a great job👍💯
Your explaination is world's easiest to understand and I can't even imagine how much effort and time it took to make this😢 amazing course . and the final output is super amazing

One of the best Blender Tutorial its relaxing and you are always fixing the small issues we run across
Amazing instruction from start to finish! There was never a time when the directions weren't completely clear on what to do or what is important to pay attention to. 10/10
please its a request dont stop making videos like these you are my teacher.
Thank you so much for the great tutorials! I started learning Blender yesterday with the classic donut tutorial and I've already been finding spots where I can try to work ahead after hearing the upcoming steps, then use the tutorial as a guide to make sure I did everything correctly. It's been a fun and exciting experience for me going through this. Keep it up!
Excellent tutorial for someone like myself who needs to fast track to the latest version of Blender after years of little use. The scope of topics and the learning of new methods and revision is just right. Converting from right click to left click selection makes the use of Blender easier, such as the use of a right c!ick context menu. Very much appreciated tutorial. Thank you!
I just finished this tutorial. I've been working on it over the past three days, and I'm amazed at how engaging and easy to follow it was! I could follow along in real time without having to do a lot of pausing and backtracking. I've looked into the full course, and I'm definitely getting it! I am a graphic designer and product photographer, and I've been using Blender to build product models for my clients. I enjoy it and want to bring my skills to the next level. Based on what I experienced with this tutorial and what I saw in the trailers in the course, I believe I will jump to several levels ahead. I'm really excited to learn more, and I want to thank CG Fast Track for making this one available for free!
Grateful for your tutorials. I was able to create this awesome sword and played around with different lighting, etc. Thank you so much for kickstarting my blender journey!!
I've never touched blender in my life and I followed this tutorial all the way through. My mind is blown!! Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. This was really addicting. Can't wait to make more.
Default interpolation was on constant and I could not get the camera animation to stop immediately jumping from one position to the next on the last frame. Just had to change the default interpolation to linear in preferences and on the timeline, delete all keyframes and set them again. Took 20 min for me to figure out, but animation is playing smooth now! 😵💫😅
This is my return to Blender since the 2.x days so I’m trying to problem solve and experiment this time. Good luck to everyone!
Bro your tutorial are the best, it took me like 6 hours to made this 3 seconds animation but i’m so happy of the results! The best part is that i dowloaded blender yesterday
Incredible 3 part series. Very much appreciated!
It's awesome. you're the only one teacher who actually can teach me in way I remember. Starting to gathering money for full course!
Thank you so much for these tutorials I spent my entire Sunday learning from you
I been using blender since 2018, now I know that this is all for beginners and I am always looking for new ways to get better. Knowledge is power and power is a tool. And as we all also know with great power comes great responsibility.
Amazing tutorial, hope to see more from you! Keep up the great work! ❤
My first ever actual project on blender and this video/tutorial helped understand alot of things needed tbh gives me alot kf motivation to start working on some of my own projects
I was able to finish part 1, 2, and 3, you have been an amazing teacher, on showing me how to do everything I needed to, to stay on track, I really appreciate you doing this, and if you have any tutorials in the future do let me know, or if you can refer other youtube channels that do things similar to you, that would help to. Thanks again ^-^
just astonishing we want more cinematic projects tutorial. your doing really well.i really appreciate your hard work
This tutorial is wonderful. I started learning Blender Yesterday (03/24/2020) but now I'm impressed. Thank you.
Alright I followed from Part 1, and Part 2, through and through, I can't wait to follow you through part 3, looking forward to it today.
I'm also doing a challenge of 100 days in blender.
I just finished part 2 doing 3 tomorrow
AMAZING TUTORIAL LOVING EVERY MINUTE
This tutorial has been amazing 🔥🔥
Thank you a lot ❤
Great Tutorial. Clear, easy yo follow, and awesome render at the end.
This is probably the most beginner friendly tutorial I've ever seen. Most of other shorter tutorials got me confused like 5x in 10 minutes. This one has only one confusing part (to me) in 4 hours. I really enjoyed following this one although some basic stuff like the box selection reminders felt like I'm watching some “I'd never seen a computer until yesterday“ course.
this is soo good the pink sword looks amazing
Best tutorial I've ever seen. Thank you
Thanks for that tutorial ! Just finished my sword and I really like it ! :)
How long have i been looking for guide as this! Trying to learn Blender for 3 years on and off for now but no guide has been this great because this is very through. Thanks!

It was an amazing journey.. One that has taught me alot
Thank you for sharing this series
Thank you so much for this series. This is the best beginner tutorial I've come across (better than the donut one)
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Felt a bit lost after "Donut tutorial", but after this one i feel some kind of confidence in my new skills!
I made exact copy of excalibur by watching your videos, i love it and I wanna learn more. Thank you so much.❤

Tag @cgfasttack on social media so we can see your results!
Ok so I was no noob to Blender and been making animated rigged Game ready stuff for a very long time and just wanted to learn more then what I was doing. This took me the same time of each video but I did learn a lot of things i never knew and this is why I followed along. I learned Nodes and how to set them up and learned affects and a lot more then i ever knew. To the regular box modeling and rigging and texturing there is a lot more I did not know. So I think I will join the program next week when I can afford it to learn better ways to doing things. Thank you very much.
its finaly done took me 6H TY for the tutorial👌love your content !!
You are the absolute goat
...i made it i actually made it i can't believe it...thank you and keep making more tutorials like this...❤❤
You are the goat bro, thanks i was kinda lost with everything in life so i decided o pick up blender, and i just can say thanks working on this was so chill and helped a lot now we can only grow
I'm very thankful for your tutorial... even though I have no experience I manage to finish it and took me 5 days, all in all from part 1 to 3.... that was so challenging to render such munificent and also thank for free download that you proved with us... Now I figure out that I need much stronger GPU for this...
Can't wait to save up some money to purchase your premium course. Hands down you are the best.
best video on yt for blender ( 3 parts )
thank you so much! appreciate your work
First, thank you so much for providing such a detailed free tutorial, I am having a lot of fun doing this!
Now, I am leaving this comment in case someone else find themselves in the same situation. As I was setting the Lazy lightening, I realized that the lightening was not reaching my pommel tip at the same frequency (it reached it the first time at like 126 seconds). I am a total beginner so I am just saying it out of my own observations. Geometry nodes ( or maybe just nodes in general) are quite sensitive or rather order dependent. Even when joining two nodes, the Object info node of the "Pommel time" "wire" needs to be under the one of the "Emitter Guard". This is shown by the twisting connections compared to the gap between the two wires for the two other object info nodes. I may have missed this explanation as I am doing it on my spare time, which is real late at time, but yeah, I though this could help.
Edit: played with the connections a bit and it seemed to only truly changed when I switch the order of the connections of the Object info on the Join Geomerty node. I still got a lot to learn! :)
GOAT tutorial...
Amazing!
So excited!
Your tutorials are amazing pls show how to draw interiors as well
I love this guy vids he explains so well that everyone can understand this is truly 100percent for beginners but my computer lags cuz of the amount of objects is there a way to fix it?
youre a legend thanks mate
thanks to you im in!!!
Thank You So Much For the tutorial
ABSOLUTELY GOATED
this is my second ever blender project attempt. I made a dancing robot which was incredibly fun. then decided to attempt this tutorial. its incredible. I'm completely new and this tutorial has just been insane I'm more than likely going to go premium and go through the full course. if the quality is like this its worth.
Thanks a lot❤
Thank u man fr
Thanks you so much!!!!
Thank you so much the tutorial really helped me a lot starting with blender, I'd like to know if there's any way to completely change the color of the lightning though? thank you again
Thesewhere awesome tutorials, I would like to keep going with this person, but whooo the price mabye someday I’ll get the pack. Awesome stuff though!!
Although I have some previous experience with Blender, this is the first tutorial series I've finished. I got halfway through the iconic donut tutorial, and stopped for two reasons: chonky computer, and I got lost when my screen wasn't the exact same as in the video. I think the Minecraft tutorial is a better starting point (comparing to either the flaming monkey head or the donut itself). The sword tutorial is a great second project, but personally, it became a blur when I wasn't sure where certain values came from or why this is the next step. That confusion will clear up as I become more proficient. The donut tutorial could make an excellent third project. I appreciate all the teachers in the Blender community, especially those who keep it up to date with the release of Blender versions.
I loved this tutorial more than blender guru's :)
man these are amazing tutorials. I love how you give the cheat settings, that way I can practice doing it manually first, then use your settings to see how far/ off I was.
+10 , thanks !!!!
Bro, Please coninue making tose videos.. It help me a lot to improver in blender : D
The tutor ever.
super
Thank you so much. Really enjoyed this. How would I go about changing the colour of the lighting? Is there a node I can add to make it a different colour?
Great tutorial
Guys any good other free tutorials ( i watched this and the donut serie)
I do think that you could definitely mention shortcuts for stuff more often(especially in the layout section) . Overall a very good beginner tutorial though!
1:49:13 the Animation you made here I've attempted it
Finished my attempt in about ~50minutes
Hey what should i do after this tutorial? i made a karambit with the knowledge from this video and it turned out amazing, thank u for the rock and scratches texture but i dont know what to really do after this
Lets goo!
fantastic tutorial, I already followed it some time ago but only halfway due to my old computer which couldn't handle all those effects. but now I have a question: Is there a way to change the color of the lightning effect? because it seems to be a really good tool to use every now and then and changing its color would increase its adaptability.
Awsome tutorial🤩..btw is there a way to change the lightning colour?
In case y all dont see the ground (only some points that are pink) at 37:04, look at the group output and input to be as he did in the video.
mines done and posted
I seem to be missing Lazy Lightning node group. Can you share it with me please? Thanks...
Lets goooo!
